References for R6 Photography Studio

Today was my second time at the studio, today for a 5 hour booking.

Neil kindly picked us up from the station.

The studio already had the heaters on, which I appreciated.

I am always happy with the snacks provided! There were so many snacks to have… and I was very grateful!

I always enjoy going to the studio and I hope to be back soon!

It's been a while since I had a shoot in Kettering: since before Neil owned it, when it was Studio Fifty Eight and then Open Space. Neil was lovely , he was quick to help if we needed any help and also gave me refreshments when I was there , he was lovely

It had been a while since I last shot at this studio, but a return did not disappoint. Under Neil’s ownership this studio has been refreshed and carefully crafted, as an excellent place to shoot. Plenty of backdrops and spaces available, without being cluttered. Neil is also a great guy, and he went out of his way to help a studio lighting novice like me. Neil also took the time to explain what we were creating with the lighting set ups, and how they worked. I was really helped to create the shots I was aiming for. I will definitely return after such a positive and pleasant experience. I would recommend without hesitation.

I had my first shoot at R6 Studio today and was extremely impressed with the size, flexibility and setup of the spacious location.

The studio, owned and run by Neil is highly recommended. Neil was very welcoming and provided an excellent coffee on arrival, he was available for advice and assistance throughout the shoot.

I am looking forward to returning to the studio in the very near future to make good use of this wonderful shooting space.

I have shot at R6 studio many times- Neil is a fantastic host. Personalised welcome in the changing area along with chocolates. cups of tea and biscuits on hand. the studio is lovely and warm with lots of props and different sets to use from. Neil is extremely helpful and polite - i would recommend to everyone - i have more shoots booked in and I am looking forward to every single one!

I had my first shoot at R6 Photography Studio today, and it was fantastic from start to finish. Communication with Neil was excellent beforehand; he went above and beyond to source a purple paper roll specifically for this session, which was incredibly helpful.

I had arranged a shoot with three cosplayers local to the area, and while waiting for them, Neil kindly gave me a quick tour. The studio offers a range of backdrops, props, and beautiful natural lighting that all contributed to the atmosphere I was aiming for, particularly for the "A Court of Thorns and Roses" theme.

Neil was on hand to assist with setting up the swing and switching between paper rolls, making the setup transitions smooth and efficient. He was approachable and respectful towards my models, ensuring a comfortable environment for everyone involved.

Highly recommend R6 Photography Studio – I'll definitely be back in the new year. Thanks again, Neil!

Tranquility

This was my first visit to R6 since Neil took over the studio. The calendar fills quickly and it is easy to see why. Smooth booking process, a warm welcome, plenty of lighting options and sets, and help where needed. We achieved so much in a 2-hour shoot, a short one for me. Looking forward to my next visit.

First time shooting in R6 studio yesterday. Much bigger than I was expecting with plenty of areas to shoot in with an Aladdins Cave number of props and backdrops. Plenty of lighting options with some already replaced lighting options such as overhead that would otherwise be a bit of a pain to set up. Run by Neil who has taken over recently and who is really helpful if you need a hand. I've already booked in for another couple of sessions and I am really looking forward to returning and trying to maximise the opportunities here.

R6 is a great studio with lots of nice sets, giving you opportunities for really creative shots. The equipment and lighting is really high quality too.

Neil is a perfect host. Always on hand to offer help when needed, but equally happy to leave you alone to shoot!

The studio is highly recommended by me, and I am looking forward to returning later in the month!

At a time when owning a studio is not the most guaranteed form of income, he deserves credit for keeping the studio open and support to maintain it. There are a variety of sets ready to use and plenty of natural light and constant/flash kit to satisfy anyone. Give it a go.

I have just had my first shoot at this stunning studio under its new ownership and didn't want to leave! The process of organising the studio day was seamless and very easy. Neil's pre shoot communications were excellent and he kept me up to date with bookings and links to portfolios. Tea and coffee were on tap as well!

R6 Studio is a wonderful studio and has so many places to shoot that I didn't make it around every place available. The lighting equipment provided is fantastic as is the natural light pouring through the windows. Each area as a few props in which really help to widen the shoot possibilities in that area, and everything is moveable as well which is superb. The props have been carefully thought about to work well with the vibe.

Neil was super helpful, offering his help if required otherwise happy to stay out of the way. The studio was well equipped and kept lovely and warm. I loved working here and will definitely return in the future!

I attended a studio day at R6 studio on Friday, it was brilliant! It was my first ever time working in a studio environment and Neil, the studio owner, was fantastic. He was very welcoming and very patient. He got to know me and talked me through several lighting setups and how they work. After a while he left me alone to try various setups with our model, the wonderful 1Hannahlou, and while I was doing that he made notes for me to take home on the various settings and setups used.

Absolutely brilliant, highly recommended! I will be returning. Thank you Neil and Hannah.

I had an absolutely fantastic studio day at R6 on Friday, sold out, with the most wonderful group of photographers.

Neil is a fantastic host, the studio was warm, there were plenty of drinks and snacks available and Neil is always friendly and welcoming.

Two of my slots were taken by photographers who were completely new to the studio environment. Neil was very supportive, helpful and knowledgeable, meaning that they went away with both an understanding of studio lighting and a great set of images.

I would absolutely recommend R6 Photography studio to models and photographers, new and experienced.

Shot at R6 on a studio day, and it was excellent as always. There is a huge range of sets, backdrops, props and lighting that would keep any photographer occupied for days! Neil's help and advice is always available - and is really useful. It's a great studio, and you should go there!

Had my first visit to this remarkable studio on Friday, it definitely won't be my last (another shoot is already booked :-)). Pre shoot comms were spot on and booking the shoot was very straightforward. A very warm and friendly greeting, followed by a tour of the studio and a nice cup of tea made for a good start. The studio itself is a gem. Lots of space, a great variety of sets and backgrounds to use, lovely natural light from the windows and skylights and an impressive amount of good quality lighting equipment and props.

An unreserved 100% recommendation, I'm looking forward to my second visit in a few weeks time.
