References for R6 Photography Studio

This was my first time at R6 studio today, and it was an incredible experience! The studio is welcoming, professional, and fully equipped with everything needed for a successful shoot. The atmosphere was both creative and relaxed, allowing me to really get into the zone. Neil was so friendly and helpful, which truly made all the difference. I highly recommend this studio to anyone seeking a top-tier experience. Can’t wait to work here again! Thank you so much Neil.

Shot at Neil's place (R6 in Kettering) on Tuesday with Maryna.

Neil was really welcoming and easy going. He showed me around (Maryna has shot there many times already, and it was her fine suggestion that we shoot there) then made us tea + coffee whilst we discussed our plans for the day.

Neil has a fantastic collection of lights (mostly Godox), modifiers, backdrops and props. He even has an olive bush! (A two part one, as I discovered when I went to lift it...)

The studio is set up out with some pre-built, colour coordinated sets, but also with plenty of space to build your own. There are backdrops hanging in two locations, (a light and airy room with plenty of natural light and a white ceiling, and a second, darker room) and there are easily two other locations where there would be space to hang them.

We made use of the larger, light room and shot with both constant lights and flash.

For the first set, Neil helped hang the backdrop that I'd bought, and did a fine job in eliminating creases. He was on hand throughout the day to answer questions and help as required. Later, we picked his brains about how to light green washing up liquid in a vial...probably not a question he's been asked before, but he had several options that we tried.

Had a really good and fun shoot there, and delighted with the results.

Thank you Neil for you time and patience. Your studio is a lovely place, and I will definitely be shooting there again.

Neil has created an excellent studio that is simply an exceptional place to shoot. Neil is an extremely knowledgeable and friendly guy, he is generous with his expertise, and always happy to offer guidance when needed. This is a great aid to creativity, and it really helps ensure you are getting the best shots during your time in the studio. Good studios where you feel very comfortable, are not easy to find, and that is why I am so pleased I have returned to this space. I look forward to my next visit.

INFINITY Model

I had a brilliant first sold out weekend at the awesome R6 studio that's so incredibly managed by Neil. Neil is a fantastic person, incredibly kind,caring, professional, friendly and accommodating. His dedication to making his studio a success is evident in his communication right through to marketing, organising, managing and making studio days such a success.

Neil has done an absolutely fantastic job on the studio, and it's not only a brilliant creative place to shoot in, but a super accommodating space created with the model's comfort in mind. The changing room is a fantastic addition to the studio and is warm, well lit, spacious, has lots of mirrors, stools, a hanging rail and everything a model may need.

The studio is fully equipped and versatile, with lots of sets, props and backdrops to choose from, it's a creative's heavenly playground.

Neil made sure the studio was warm enough to work to art nude level, and had plenty of hot/cold drinks and snacks throughout my stay, I was really well looked after.

Neil also kindly offered me his spare room for the night, which was warm, clean, had a double bed and everything I needed for a comfortable stay. It was a very kind and much appreciated gesture.

I had an absolute blast during the two days, and Neil was on hand throughout the entire time with help, guidance and support where needed.

All in all, a fantastic studio owner who is doing an amazing job of managing a wonderful studio, highly recommended of course and I am already looking forward to coming back in May 2025!

I've just had my first ever shoot at R6 and I was really pleased with what I found.

The process of booking online was easy and I had exactly the information I needed to work out where to park and how to find the studio. The studio itself had a good range of lights and the associated accessories, just as detailed on the R6 website.

Neil was friendly and welcoming and was clearly prepared to help me out or leave me to get on with it just as I wished.

I can definitely recommend both Neil and R6 and I'm sure there will be more visits in 2025.

There have been some great improvements along with an amazing array of lighting and sets that are flexible.

Booking into the studio day was easy via the website and pre-comm’s were brilliant.

Neil is really friendly and helpful with setting up sets and lighting etc.

The Studio owner Neil was very welcoming and on hand at all times,had already prepared a high Key lighting set up as discussed in pre-coms. The studio consists of a very well equipped, windowed natural light shooting area with very large LED lights and a separate fully kitted studio area. Bags of props – chairs, dressing table, bed, hoops the list goes on. Ideal. Have already booked onto a couple of studio days for early next year. Car parking was very easy with a very short work to the studio. Great studio and shooting area and look forward to getting over again. Highly Recommended.

I worked at R6 photography studio today with Paul Lucas, Neil was an absolute pleasure, offered to make a drink upon arrival and was on hand to help where needed, the studio is well kitted out with anything you could possibly need and there’s no shortage of props and sets!

Lovely environment and clean minimalist aesthetic with plenty of furniture to play with.

I’d definitely love to work there again in future!

I havent been to the studio for a while now, it was so good to meet Neil again, always a warm welcome with a fresh coffee.

I love coming to this well equiped studio, so many options, plenty of props, lights and various areas to shoot. As always Neil cannot do enough to help when asked and will check sporadically that you're alright incase you are having an issue. It makes for an easy going relaxed time which is what i really like.

I like to arrange my lights, gels and sets, and when i'm up against it Neil is there to help hugely but will take a back seat and leave me to it also. I suggest if you need a large open space to be creative in you must try and get into this busy place!

AJ the Model

I had a fantastic high quality studio day last weekend. I got sold out very quickly on both weekend days and Neil was brilliant with his comms before, during, and after.

I must say Neil was absolutely delightful, lots of fun chit chat, and he worked super hard to help photographers get the images they wanted and also worked on making sure I was always warm enough and had plenty drinks and snacks. Neil is super kind and has amazing extensive knowledge on lighting and is a very good teacher if you ever want to just learn from him and get tips and tricks.

Neil was very helpful especially for my remote shoot with Olof at the studio, he managed all the lighting and camera positioning exactly how Olof wanted, which gave him exactly the images he wanted.

The studio itself was also amazing with plenty of sets around and lots of props to play with. He's got it all. Neil is super organised and has everything in its place. The studio is great with plenty of space and height.

Thanks Neil for everything and I look forward to see you again at my next studio day next year! Xx

Just had a shoot with AJ at R6 today. Great studio, a really good space, lots and lots of props, a really cool space with lots of shooting places, lots of lights, all in excellent condition. Neil was really helpful when required but left me to get on with my shoot.

Neil kindly picked us up from the station.

The studio already had the heaters on, which I appreciated.

I am always happy with the snacks provided! There were so many snacks to have… and I was very grateful!

It had been a while since I last shot at this studio, but a return did not disappoint. Under Neil’s ownership this studio has been refreshed and carefully crafted, as an excellent place to shoot. Plenty of backdrops and spaces available, without being cluttered. Neil is also a great guy, and he went out of his way to help a studio lighting novice like me. Neil also took the time to explain what we were creating with the lighting set ups, and how they worked. I was really helped to create the shots I was aiming for. I will definitely return after such a positive and pleasant experience. I would recommend without hesitation.

I had my first shoot at R6 Studio today and was extremely impressed with the size, flexibility and setup of the spacious location.

The studio, owned and run by Neil is highly recommended. Neil was very welcoming and provided an excellent coffee on arrival, he was available for advice and assistance throughout the shoot.

I have shot at R6 studio many times- Neil is a fantastic host. Personalised welcome in the changing area along with chocolates. cups of tea and biscuits on hand. the studio is lovely and warm with lots of props and different sets to use from. Neil is extremely helpful and polite - i would recommend to everyone - i have more shoots booked in and I am looking forward to every single one!
