References for Events @PURE

Had a great shoot a Pure with Keira Lavelle yesterday. Simon was great from start to finish, booking was easy and he even offered to help me with searching for a suitable replacement when the dancer I had originally booked had to cancel after being dropped by her dance partner (doh!).

It's a great space with loads of natural light, varied backdrops and props plus a store room type space upstairs great for more grungy looks.

There were a variety of lights on offer but I didn't need to use any as despite it being a rather dull, wet and overcast day the natural light was perfect and all I needed was to use one or two of the reflectors available.

We were made to feel very welcome, tea and coffee was offered on arrival and we topped up mid-shoot plus Simon was on hand to help with moving things around.

A great first visit to Pure and hopefully I'll be back again when I'm next in the area.

Great shoot with Mischkah at the studio - my first visit and with excellent support from Simon. He explained the layout and equipment available, was very helpful with moving lights around during the shoot. Can thoroughly recommend the studio - lots of windows for excellent natural light, lots of space and kit, so many image possibilities. Totally recommended....

My first time shooting at the studio on Saturday. The studio has an awesome space, many different areas and sets to shoot from including a great attic area. There are plenty of natural light and studio lights are available too. Simon is very friendly and helpful with setup. Also he makes a nice cup of tea! Thanks Simon.

The studio is a great find and I will definitely be back!

This is a great little studio fairly close to home and one that I will use again. It is situated in an old mill building and has a mixture of modern features as well as some great distressed / aged places too. There are many styles that you could shoot here using both artificial and natural light. The natural light was superb on the day that I used the studio. Recommended.

I had my first ever event at pure Preston just a couple of days ago, we sold out two days! Both very successful and incredible images created in the space

I have to say WOW! By far one of my favourite ever studios, Simon is super friendly and accommodating, the sets in the studio are very versatile and quirky yet classy! The natural light floods through which is just stunning all the way throughout the day. I'm amazed at just how perfect the place is, there is lighting if you were to shoot late at night or prefer studio light... reflectors. You know, the works!

Every photographer who came along to the studio were really kind and enthusiastic to create some amazing images, which is always a buzz!

I felt comfortable at all times, looked after, and it was just a luxury to have such an amazing place!

I would love to go back again, and am actually already planning my next events there! Simon makes a mean cup of tea!

I had a model day at Pure Preston on my last UK trip with Simon and a few other photographers. I had a fantastic time there are can highly recommend it as a natural light location. It has a good variety of shooting areas as has an industrial/urban feel as its in an old industrial block as it very spacious. Its basically everything that you would look for in a natural light studio. My only advice is that due to it being an old industrial location it would be good for models to bring a pack of baby wipes, a towel and an old pair of flipflops as your feet or whatever else touches the floor can get grubby shooting, although I mention this it would not deter me from coming back as I had a great time and got beautiful images :)

I shot at PurePreston again during my tour last month and once again had a great experience.

I was there for a day and a half over the weekend and still didn't manage to use the entire studio! It's a super space.

Love the images I can create in the studio and Simon was, as before, very accommodating and helpful in selling the events and looking after me and the photographers on the day.

Looking forward to going back next year :)

I've shot at PURE a few times now (and have probably been most remiss in not leaving a reference - hey ho, better late than never!).

Simon's studio on the top floor of a Victorian mill in Preston is a couple of thousand square feet of sheer joy! Nicely finished in the main studio, light and airy, lots of white walls, a black area, and the signature blue/copper distressed wall. Plenty of props as well as a bed with clean linen!

Upstairs there's a fantastic dusty old attic, with plenty of natural light for some old school art nude!

When not shooting, always good to have a brew and a natter with Simon, who puts so much effort into making it a friendly, hospitable and well-run operation.

I attended a group shoot at the studio today, the studio is a great place to shoot as it has lots of natural light, but if you need studio flash these can be provided as well, Simon the studio owner was a great host and made me feel very welcome, will be attending more shoots at the studio (both group and one to one shoots) in the future. Highly recommended

Communication prior to the shoot was perfect, we were originally shooting at thr beach BUT unfortunately due to the great british weather the ridiculous rain meant we had to rearrange to the studio.

Pure is a fantastic studio to work & the group shoots are always a pleasure!

There are numerous possibilities for a variety of styles with ample space to ensure you can get your shots, making for a more enjoyable and productive shoot. Simon is always available if you require help or even a brew.

Just had another one to one shoot with Tillie Feather at Pure Preston studio, organised and hosted by Simon Rawsthorn. As usual all Simon's comms are spot on, he always has a brew on the go and is in the background to assist if required, in fact following a bout of ill health Simon was immediately on hand to assist me with my gear from my car to the studio which was very much appreciated. The studio itself is a fantastic space with many opportunities for different sets, it is well known for its natural light opportunities. Simon has now amassed several props which also help with the creative process. Simon is a fantastic host, an accomplished photographer who is happy to help those requiring assistance. I can highly recommend both Simon and his studio, I always enjoy my shoots there and never fail to produce some of my best work. Many thanks for another great shoot Simon, see you again next weekend :-)

I am super happy that simon had me at pure preston studios! Pre comms was excellent and i was very relaxed. Simon is a great guy. What a great bunch of photographers! I have already got offerd more shoots from them. I love all the set ups at the studio and i love that all the props can be moved around, theres so much to use. I would absolutly love to come again and work with more set ups. Very happy girl right here :)
