Had a fabulous shoot organised buy Simon at Pure Preston although the venue was change at last minute to a difffent studio it was adiquate with plenty of lighting and natural light. Simon is very friendly chatty and easy to get along with.

Will definitely work in his studio again.

Recently came back from my 3 day studio event at Pure Preston. & What a pleasure it was! I had a very pleasant stay, the studio is actually the nicest studio I've ever been to! Lovely space upstairs for natural light shots aswell as the main studio, which is very spacious and well equipped.I felt very welcome during my stay and everyone who I worked with whilst there were very friendly and got on well with. Definately an experience I'll always remember, Simon was an excellent host who made sure I was well looked after throughout my stay. Thank you & I look forward to returning in the near future.

I love this studio because of the size, large windows, natural light .... and offers you a great choice of different backgrounds.

Simon is very friendly and very helpful. I felt very comfortable and very relax shooting at his studio.

The studio is easy to access and have good parking facilities. Hope to become a regular.

Like busses, somehow, from not having visited PurePreston, I'm there on consecutive days. The first was my booking the studio myself for a shoot with the gorgeous Louisa. The following day, a group shoot organised by Simon with two lookers (hoped I spelt that right!), Christina & Blossom. (Both available elsewhere on this site.)

Things start off well with an adequate car park, go downhill a little with three flights of stairs to climb, and then just get better and better. Everyone else leaving references for this studio has commented on its size, open space and natural light availability. I could repeat all that, but why bother. They're all telling it like it is :)

In addition, there's a range of good quality studio lighting available, and Simon is happy to help set it up and move it around.

As someone who is starting to get a little more comfortable in studios (not proficient), I'm starting to become a little jaded with the options of white background/black background options, with maybe a pull down roll in a different colour. Of course then you find the chain has slipped the cog, and it takes 20 minutes to get the roll you wanted into place. The layout of the studio is such that a variety of coloured walls with matching boxes for seating are available within a twist on the spot. Plus brickwork in attractive and grunge styles as well. At one point I was actually able to shoot not only the model assigned to me (and other members of my group), but also the other model, simply by rotating through 90 degrees.

But just in case that wasn't enough....

There's a loft upstairs too. Used as a storage area, it has enough props to keep most of us amused. But what really sets the loft apart is the full length skylight. Beautiful day, or standard British miserable, there's enough light up there to accomplish almost anything.

If I'm coming across as enthusiastic, it's not because we're not allowed to leave negative references. PurePreston earns it's plaudits. Heartily recommended.

I have just got back from spending 3 and half days at Pure Preston, doing 1:1 sessions and a groups event organised by Simon at the studio.

Pure is a brilliant studio, the space is just brilliant and the natural light is second to none.

There is so much choice to choose from in terms of styles, studio/natural light/urbex style/retro/fashion/art-nude/commercial, you can do it all.

Simon is on hand to offer help anytime you need it and is a great host to photographer's and models.

Great studio, Highly recommended from me :)

Had my first shoot at PUREpreston with the lovely Carla Monaco. Great studio to shoot in, lots of light and open spaces, as well as some useful props. Even better, it was warm on a freezing cold day, which meant that the session was pleasantly relaxed. Simon even bought me a meat and potato pie for my lunch, and as a Wiganer, it really doesn't get any better than that.

Pure is a gem of a studio. It is fantastic for both natural light and flash work. It is a warm and welcoming studio and Simon is on hand to give kind help when needed. The studio is on 2 floors- the upper floor ideal for adding a little variety to your photographs whilst working there.

The history of the building gives the studio that extra special touch. The numerous props available are excellent too. Highly recommended.

I had a very productive shoot at PurePreston on Tuesday with Rhi-Vamp'd. I've used the studio a few times now and it's a great studio to use. It's roomy, has many different areas to use and also has lots of natural light. There's also plenty of studio lights if natural light is not your thing and Simon is always very helpful and accommodating.

I have been coming to PurePreston for a few months now and cannot recommend it highly enough. The studio premise has several spacial floors with large wndows allowing lots of fantastic natural light to pour in for your photography.

The studio club sesions are a great way to network and meet other photographers and models, especialy if like me your relatively new to the world of portrait photography.

Simon is a wonderful host and has been very kind over the months in offering his technical experience and in making me feel welcome. Communications and organisation are also always great.

Highly recommended!

Great light, great sets, and space.

Simon was great, and the place cannot be faulted, so if your looking for a good studio in the area, i thoroughly recommend them.

It was the first time I have used this studio and what a fab studio. It has lots of big windows with lots of natural light. A few different set ups with props and lots of lights set up ready to use. A 4 hour shoot went too quick. Look forward to use the studio again.

Have shot at PURE a few times now both with Simon and as a privately hired studio. The studio itself is a beautiful naturally lit space with the option for studio lighting, different areas and props for variety, I especially enjoyed shooting in the upstairs section with the brickwork and old mill features. Fab little changing room and little kitchen area to keep everyone fuelled! I’m back on the 11th and super excited! Parking is available on site too which is always helpful. Always on hand to help in a group set up and attentive to the models. 100% recommend! X

My first time at Pure Preston & most definitely not the last.... I was there for a group club session with model Becky Lizz . the facilities are great, I loved it because it had lots of natural light flooding through the big windows .. the pre-comms were 1st class & Simon made me feel very very welcome & could not of been more helpful & informative .

We attended Simon's Xmas party yesterday.. Simon had put a lot of effort into arranging the event, which was really appreciated. The studio is a great space for taking images and if the light is right you can get some really great images in the 'golden hour'. I would highly recommend this studio.. Simon is a great host and is easy to get on with...Many thanks Simon for all your efforts yesterday.

I shot at Pure Preston studios for the first time on Friday, I didn't work with Simon as it was with another photographer Tim Cullen but I have to say it is one of the best studios I've modelled at, there is so many different angels to his studio where you can get some amazing images, which we did and all the facilities you could need in a studio. Simon from start to finish was fantastic, such an amazing guy, nothing was too much trouble for him, he looked after us very well & makes a good brew ☺️ and me being from Wigan, that went down well!! He even got involved and helped when we needed to get the right images, he was always on hand!!! Even though I haven't worked directly with Simon yet, I would highly recommend himself & his studio to any photographer or model looking to get some top quality images, don't even think about it, just do it!! Hoping to shoot with him soon 👍🏽

I worked at Pure for the first time last Friday, Saturday and Sunday for 3 sold out studio events that Simon organised.

The studio is just brilliant, amazing natural light, lots of equipment, lots of space (very good for groups/workshops etc).

Simon who run's the studio is a great host who looks after the models and photographer's really well, I felt at home there.

It was really good being back in Preston too as I just to live not far from the studio :) I plan on going back to the studio in 2018 :)

Attended the Halloween group shoot but I left early as I'd had an awful journey there and had noticed the M60 was going to be closed on my way home. Friendly group of people and Simon is knowledgeable and easy to get in with. It got me out of the house so I didn't have to put up with door knockers. Happy to recommend.

Had the plessure to work at pure twice now once for a workshop the other for one of simons club nights the studio is amazing loads of photo potential and i was greeted by lovely friendly togs both times simon is very proffesional and made me feel welcome and comfy would most defo recommend to any model or tog wanting to shoot there

Having shot at PurePreston on a few different occasions we set up a studio weekend, it was fully booked despite some photographers doing disappearing acts a mere few days before the weekend Simon managed to find replacements so the days were still filled :)

It's a great studio to work out with plenty of shooting opportunities.

I had a fantastic day at Pure Preston on Sunday. The studio is very spacious, with lots of natural light as well as different backgrounds suitable for a variety of shoots. I do not think you can run out of ideas! There is a separate private model area to get changed and apply make up etc. All the photographers that attended the shoots were super friendly and very easy to work with. All in all I had an amazing day and look forward to returning to the studio in the near future.
