Impossible Lighting?

Georgia had been on my radar for a while, and when I saw her London casting I jumped at the opportunity. Her portfolio showed her toned figure and flexibility, exactly my style. She'd booked an apartment for her tour, and when she gave me the address, I saw that it was a photography studio (complete with white cove wall, and dressing room). So I didn't bring any lighting, thinking it would all be there, or we'd shoot with natural light. Turns out there was no lighting available, and Georgia hadn't been using the white cove in her earlier shoots. Not deterred, I saw a floor lamp with a bare Edison bulb, and knew I'd be able to shoot with that just fine - I didn't expect how creative it allowed us to get, not only allowing for more unique lighting than natural light or studio flash, but also as a prop to interact with. We ended up shooting for nearly 2 hours just in this setting, and got a whole series of amazing art nudes.
If you study this photo for a while, you may figure out that the lighting doesn't seem possible...
