Hi there.

I've been pointing a camera at people for a few years now, squeezing in a handful of shoots every year as funds allow.  Although it's mainly a hobby, I occasionally take jobs shooting live events, gigs, theatre and actor head-shots.  For me, shoots arranged through PP are all about having fun while gradually developing creative skills and exploring personal styles, while at the same time learning about the unique qualities each model brings and how to get the best from each situation.

Live Events

My former career as a lighting designer for theatre and music gigs means I have a good understanding of performance, lighting angles and effects, and helps when exploring how to convey the mood and atmosphere of raw performances in my live work.

Studio and Portraiture

The primary tenet of my portraiture and model photography is mutual respect.  For anyone I shoot with, your comfort and safety are paramount, and I will ALWAYS respect your personal space and stated levels.  Shoots are always creative collaborations in my view.  I encourage communication and sharing of ideas for things we agree are appropriate and interesting for both of us, and where possible will be discussed and agreed beforehand.
