References for Phil David photography

First time I worked with Phil and it was a lovely experience. Great pre-communication and his research for location left me with a few options to choose from.

We worked in a bluebell forest and rapeseed field and I felt like an actual forest child, or a dryad or whatever mythical forest creature comes around. i love that Phil always had an idea of what image he wants to produce of a setting, as well as great knowledge of the location and the benefits it can provide.

There was some climbing on trees, and walking around a forest, all during a beautiful sunny day, which I could have not spent better.

Great experience, some amazing photos and brilliant organisation, this was one of the best shoots I've ever had.

Highly recommended and I hope our paths cross again sooner rather than later :) :)

Worked with Phil on our mermaid shoot today for the first time after it was postponed due to snow in March. Phil arrived ahead of time to scope out the area and set up his equipment. He showed me all images he was taking, to ensure I was happy with them. He also made sure I was safe in slippy areas such as water and mud. He then drove me safely home after the shoot. The images taken today really had the WOW factor on the back of cam, so I can't wait to see the finished results!

This was the first time I have worked with Phil and hopefully it’s not the last.

Pre comms was spot on, especially when we had to reschedule the shoot due to bad weather back in March, was quick to rearrange and keep in touch through the organising process.

Was fab on the day, we had brilliant sunshine so we had that against us, but Phil didn’t let that get in the way and got on with the job.

Waited very patiently as I changed the hair and make up for the second look that we did.

Photo turn around was good too, had the final edited images after a couple of weeks.

Would highly recommend.

I worked with Phil a few weeks ago for the first time to do a Fairytale shoot and i have to say he is such a lovely down to earth guy. He made me feel comfortable he was open to me sharing ideas aswell as giving his own, all precomms were done smoothly and most importantly i had alot of fun! He has sent me the images which did not take long and i am so pleased with the quality of them! Phil is very talented and I am really looking forward to working with him again!

I had a great shoot with Phil at Calke Abbey this weekend. The communication before the shoot was great and he was a pleasure to work with.

Phil made me feel relaxed in front of the camera and we worked well together having creative ideas for the shots.

Phil sent me the images the same night as the shoot for me to chose which to edit and sent me the edited ones within three days. I was very impressed at how quickly he did them and to such a high quality too.

I am extremely happy with the results and would love to work with Phil again in the future :)

I had a great first shoot with Phil yesterday at Shadow Studio in Gloucester! Pre shoot comms were great, we shot a lot of different styles and ideas which was fun!!

First shoot with Phil and a most enjoyable one. Pre- comms were great, we both wanted to work on a fairy theme which we exchanged ideas and mood boards to get the look we wanted. The morning of the shoot the weather was awful, raining,quite dark and thoroughly miserable! We decided to give it a go and the rain eased and we produced some amazing images. Phil was very mindful of me feeling comfortable and constantly asked my opinion on ideas and poses. We used a little stream which runs through Himley Park. This provided a brilliant scene for our fairy theme. Phil is a genuinely lovely guy, and a talented photographer and uses the natural light perfectly. He showed me the images on the back of the camera throughout and what he had achieved was just beautiful. Big thanks to the make up artist Isobelle wells who braved the elements with us and turned me into a stunning fairy! Would definitely reccomend Phil to anyone and would love to work with him again. Thanks Phil🙂

This was my first shoot with Phil and we went to Sutton park. He is really easy to work with, thoughtful, considerate and professional at all times. He encourages the model to voice his/her ideas and helps you to create amazing images from them. The images are of extremely high quality and I am very happy with the result. This was my second shoot with phil and it was another great one :)

we did a autumn fashion blogger shoot and went to a park where the leaves were changing colours.

The location choice was great and communication before the shoot was really good too.

Phil is friendly and gives great direction and takes amazing photos, even if the lighting kept falling over because of the wind haha.

i definitely recommend him and would love to work again in the future :)

I collaborated with Phil on a fairytale photoshoot, Phil was very clear on the pre-communication of his ideas and what he wanted to achieve on the day. When I arrived at the location he was very welcoming and friendly. After completing the make up look I stayed for the rest of the shoot and watched him work his magic. The pictures this guy can get from his camera are just amazing. He had some really cool ideas which came out fabulous. He was and kept me informed of the editing process and asked me which ones I would like to have in my portfolio. All in all a great shoot with a great photographer and I am so so pleased with the images. The model was fantastic and we all had a fun shoot. Last month I collaborated with Phil on his fairytale series and I would highly recommend him to anybody who is considering shooting with him! His pre-shoot communication was very clear and consistent all the way up to the day of the shoot and even afterwards during the editing process. Phil was brilliantly organized and also very open to ideas for the shoot as well as what he also wanted to achieve. I felt very welcome upon meeting him and felt very comfortable being photographed by him. His direction was excellent and was also open to me experimenting with different shot ideas and poses. Phil created breathtaking images even raw from the camera. Phil's creative ideas really made the shoot magical (pardon the pun) and along with the amazing makeup artistry, he has produced some of my favourite images to date. Would love to work with him again soon!
