Martin is simply an absolute pleasure to work with! He’s chatty, funny and completely and utterly cool. Instantly likeable and surprisingly modest given how fantastic his portfolio is.

Our shoot was conducted using aerial silks, something I am hugely passionate about. Martin allowed me to show him a series of moves and we worked together to photograph them best.

One thing I really enjoyed was how passionate he was. He was super encouraging and between our mutual enthusiasm for silks we got some incredible pictures.

It was an absolute honour to model for Martin, and I very much hope to do so again in future!

Wow, another AMAZING shoot with Orson!

Due to a last minute cancellation on his end, we were able to quickly sort something together which I was so pleased to hear- I’m moving soon and would hate to have to wait months to work with him again.

As always, he was so friendly and welcoming, and supplied me with plenty of snacks and tea (win!). We could chat all day, which we end up normally doing anyway.

His wardrobe selection is truly amazing, never known a man to have such fabulous frocks and jewellery ! He puts his trust in my styling abilities, and we end up making true magic. His attention to detail and eye for what works is amazing, I love watching him work. Plus we have such a giggle throughout the entire day, it flies by!

Over the moon with what we got and the day we had, I’d recommend Martin to anyone any day :)

Well Martin is a bit bloody awesome really. That's it. That's all I can say. Without sounding like an absolute fan girl.

Makes a good brew, has a wardrobe that I think is bigger than mine, rather fantastic music taste, great conversation all round in terms of pre, during and post shoot and he can't half take a decent photo to boot!

Well worth the travel from Nottingham to his tiny little village and will definitely be making the journey again

I recently had the pleasure of shooting with Martin and I cannot recommend him enough.

His communication was exceptional, with us being able to plan a fairly last minute shoot. He was hugely considerate of restrictions on my travel went to great lengths to ensure I was comfortable with the levels and outfits we were planning on working with.

Martin was a delight to spend the day with, our conversations were as much fun as the shoot itself and he even catered to my dietary restrictions. His skill behind the camera is evident in his eye for lighting and his detail oriented approach ensured we got some exceptional shots. His vast wardrobe selection allowed a great deal of creativity - we could have kept shooting for days!

Martin was incredibly gracious when I had to cancel our second day of shooting and went out of his way to return my belongings.

The energy Martin brings to a shoot is infectious, I wholeheartedly look forward to working together again soon!

Throughout our pre-shoot discussions and the session itself, Martin fostered an environment where I felt truly encouraged to embrace myself and explore my creativity freely. Pre shoot coms with Martin were spot on and we discussed everything in great detail, so that when he arrived we could get straight into shooting and creating some amazing images.

Martin has an infectious character and you cannot help to love the man. His work ethic is exceptional and his courteous manner with the model is exceptional, giving great feedback to all shots and poses created by the model.

I am really looking forward to working with Martin again.

Oh my goodness, what an incredible shoot. Martin is so warm and charismatic and lovely. I immediately felt relaxed, at ease, and cheery around him. His energy and his rock music really helped me motivate me throughout the shoot, and he was so encouraging and complimentary, and incredibly respectful. He was great at giving direction while also letting me do my own thing, and allowed me to experiment with some new poses and he managed to capture them perfectly. He gave me freedom with the styling and I had so much fun playing dress up in his clothes. Although, he has a hidden talent for styling and helped me make the perfect outfits. His pre comms were excellent and he was incredibly generous, keeping me well stocked with food and caffeine, going out of his way to make sure I was kept comfortable and happy. I'm absolutely over the moon with the photos, they're some of my favourites. I'm in love with his style of photography, it's so professional and distinctive. If you want to work with someone who is a wizard with a camera, and a truly kind, generous soul, then I would reccomend Martin without a doubt.

Wow wow wow!

Had my first shoot today with Martin - what a fantastic day and what a great laugh. Pre-comms were fantastic, and I knew what to expect on the day and instructions on how to get there; he even asked me what food I'd like him to bring as we were shooting for the majority of the day.

He was already at the village hall when I arrived, offering tea. The hall was warm and comfortable and the snacks were available as promised (always a plus)! He brought a fantastic and diverse variety of clothing, shoes, accessories, bodysuits, corsets etc that I was welcome to use, as well as some lovely floaty dresses which he was more than happy to send me some photos of before the shoot so I could pick a couple, which I then shot in.

He's easygoing and funny; has a million interesting stories to share. It didn't feel like the first time I'd met him at all - he's always happy to show you back of camera shots between sets and was very good at giving direction, but also allowed me to have a high level of input into the outfits and posing throughout.

I was comfortable and the time whizzed by, I really enjoyed myself. I would highly recommend Martin and will definitely be organising something else with him in the near future!

My last reference for this man was on Sunday 27th January 2019 .... Fast forward 5 YEARS and we finally managed to shoot again!!! And I am SO glad we did!! Needless to say we're both a little more old and decrepit these days.... and we probably spent more time talking and reminiscing than we did shooting but I can honestly say the time we did spend shooting we produced so many incredible images I am chomping at the bit to see the final edits!!! Anyone who knows Martin knows he always produces the goods!! And I am not just talking about the endless supply of cups of tea and food that's always on offer...!! Haha!!

I spent two days down shooting with Martin this time and I could've easily done more - Although Martin might not agree.... Haha!! ;) Over the two days the banter was relentless and Martin as always was full of ideas and inspiration for shots and even put up with me and my crazy ideas too... What a bonus!! He always has an abundance of clothing, shoes, props and outfits available too!!

I of course would HIGHLY reccomend Martin ... I am not allowed to have favourites but if I was.... !!!

Let's not leave it 5 years next time okay.....!!!

Where do I even begin with Martin?!

He was so incredibly kind over pre comms, as we were both really struggling to pin a date down that worked but thanks to him, he got it!

Upon arriving, he was so warm and friendly, and had great snacks (bonus!) to chat over and get to know each other. I think we nattered for far too long hehe.

The shoot itself couldn’t have gone better, his wardrobe/prop selection was wonderful, and his eye for a great shot made the shoot so smooth and easy.

I cannot recommend him enough, and I truly look forward to our next shoot!

I had the pleasure of an all-day shoot with Orson Carter. We had discussed what we hoped to achieve well ahead of time, and when I arrived, he was set up and ready to go. Not only does Mr Carter have an excellent eye and clear talent, he is also blessed with a great sense of humour. He was considerate and fun, and I genuinely enjoyed my day. We created art I'm proud of and had fun doing it. I look forward to our next creative adventure together and highly recommend him. If you get the chance to enter the world of Orson Carter grab it with both hands. I absolutely recommend working with him.

I had a wonderful shoot with Orson Carter and Ukcrystal. I already know Ukcrystal from prvious shoots, so when invited for the oppurtunity to shoot duo with Orson Carter , i was extremely interetsed.

I have followed Orson Carters work for some time now, and we finally had the oppurtunity to shoot. Orson is a very likeable person, with a great character and he makes you feel absolutley comfrotable. Well, apart from when youre trying to break your back over a models knee to get the shot of the day haha!!!-jokes.

I adore his style and lighting, and would highly welcome another shoot where we can further explore Orsons ideas. Really genuine and lovely guy!!!!

I was very delighted to be selected to do a duo shoot with Orson and Ash, two suburb individuals within the industry! As always; Orson was very prepared with images for me and Ash to look at as a reference- to help with posing and getting the style right which worked really well! Orson blew this shoot out of the bag, the lighting and angles were spot on- demonstrating two models is really no challenge for him, it was so refreshing to have such a large warm space to work and pose in; also such a genuine photographer to capture some really tastefully artistic duo images. Orson is super enthusiastic has great ideas, style with lighting (and clothing), a tonne of respect and enthusiasm. I've worked with Orson many times now and he never disappoints! I whole-heartedly fully recommend if you get a chance to shoot with him, take it!

What a fantastic way to kick of 2024

Having worked with Martin before, I jumped at the chance to work with him again and after a few delays, we got something in the diary and he did not disappoint! One of the friendliest and most considerate photographers I’ve worked with, he also has a remarkable ability to capture stunning photos and know how to get the best of of individuals. Another fabulous shoot with Martin! Each time, we explore different creative ideas. He has an incredible collection of various fantastic clothes, props, and accessories, continually adding new items that offer endless options for creating stunning looks. Moreover, Martin always lets me choose from these outfits and encourages my own creative input! Not only is Martin an absolutely fantastic photographer, capturing me at my best with amazing lighting, but he's also a warm friend. He's outgoing, easy and fun, creating an absolutely fabulous atmosphere during our shoots! We listen to cool music, chat, joke around, share stories, and truly enjoy our time together!

I must highlight Martin's great ethic. He respects the model's boundaries and comfort levels, consistently striving to create the most comfortable atmosphere and always seeking my opinion on the shots. Additionally, Martin is kind enough to share the photos after our shoot, which makes me incredibly happy! They're stunning, and it's a great way to reminisce about the fun we had. I'm tempted to share all of them 🙈.

Martin goes out of his way to ensure the shoot aligns with my plans and comfort. There's so much more I could say about how great it is to work with him, but that would make for a very long testimonial! Another shoot with Martin and yet another fantastic reference for me to leave.

His pre shoot communications are top notch, by far some of the very best on PurplePort! Martin is always quick to answer questions and provides a good idea of our shoot plan in advance. Furthermore, the behind the scenes planning Martin puts in, is insane! He has an amazing selection of outfits and new lingerie in his collection, and always knows what he's wanting to achieve. Watching Martin move his lighting around during the shoot is also a fantastic experience, watching someone who clearly knows what he's doing in this profession!

Martin always makes me feel totally at ease and I always feel comfortable from the beginning. He was also accommodating of my late arrival (postcode issues!), and after a cuppa we jumped straight into the shoot. We got through a great selection of things, and wrapped up yet another amazing shoot.

Martin is polite and professional - he's the type of photographer that gets you excited about the results and between you, you work hard to achieve phenomenal results. We get along well and our conversation goes all over the place!

I had my first ever shoot with Martin, wow what a great shoot, he was friendly, funny and very professional, I highly recommend…

He had lots of ideas and a great selection of lingerie and dresses, the whole shoot was so great and the pictures are beautiful from what I have seen

He was fast with his setting up :) the shoot went so smoothly and the hours flew by..

We already have our next shoot booked.. :)
