References for Orson Carter

I was pleased to have another shoot booked with the amazing individual Orson Carter at the village hall. On arrival Martin was all set up and ready to go and was quick to let me know about the lighting to ensure I knew with my posing. We had planned to try a boxing style shoot again and I had some items I was yet to use which- I knew he would be able to photograph better than anyone else! It had been a little while since we shoot so we had a cuppa and lovely catch up (more or less thought out the shoot as well,) once again shots created beautifully. The hall was surprisingly warm, Martin had ensured he'd arrived early to fire the heating up and also prepped a nice clean fluffy gown for me which he kept throwing at me and telling me to wrap up hah, this is a totally caring and considerate man/photographer, who will get down low and ensure the lighting is always most flattering! Really lovely person and such fun to create with. Has a great wardrobe too! SUPER images, always shown as we go. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I had my second shoot with Martin today and it was great! He had a great idea in mind that I was excited to work on with him and I'm happy to say that the results were even better than I expected. He had a range of 1920s style outfits/accessories and was happy for me to style the looks based off the inspiration images he'd provided. His positive attitude and heaps of enthusiasm for what he does makes me feel confident and at ease while modelling. He is so respectful - checking in at every stage of the process that I am happy with what we are shooting and how - he really understands the nuances of working to various levels. I'd highly recommend shooting with Martin, you will be well looked after and have a great time getting creative with a very lovely photographer :)

Well what can I say? This had to be up there with one of my favourite shoots ever!

Martin contacted me about shooting with him and how could I say no?! His work is outstanding! His style of photography is right up my street with the many many different types of shapes on his portfolio and now to be a part of it is absolutely awesome.

We shot together for 2 days down his direction in Somerset and wow did we have a lot of ideas. He has sooooo many props and outfits and styling which just kept giving the both of us so much inspiration!

He looked after me very well, fridge full of food (including chocolate 😝) was very easy to talk to and get along with and made me feel very comfortable throughout.

Overall, Martin is a superstar, knows exactly what he is doing, is respectable, professional and just a joy to be around and work with.

Had my second shoot with Martin over a two-day period last weekend after a break from modeling for a few years. Martin is still one of my favorite photographers to work with, he is kind, funny, and very respectful as well as having a great eye for an image and a beautiful style of work. Pre-communications were excellent and ideas and styles were planned ahead of the shoot adding finishing touches to outfits from Martin's extensive "dressing up box". I have seen some of the images on the back of the camera and had multiple images back already that I will be proud to share on my portfolio. I would love to work with Martin again in the future and would very highly recommend.

I have admired Orson's work for years now and I am so happy to say that we finally got to shoot together from his awesome studio set down in Frome.

First of all, communication prior the shoot was frequent and informative. On the day Martin greet me at the local station and then we went to the shooting location were we had a cup of tea and chat before start shooting.

Martin is full of life, energy and ideas and we created some amazing work which I'm so happy to share soon!

Shooting with Martin was relaxed and very productive. He has so many beautiful clothing props available and ideas.

Very happy to highly recommeend and looking forward to working together again :)

I had an absolutely amazing photoshoot with Martin at his studio in Somerset! 😍 I was so excited to work with him because I had been following his work for a long time and found his photos amazing! 🥰 Our pre-communication was great and straightforward. He provided me with all the necessary information and even sent me a selection of outfits to choose from, all of which I liked. I have to say that all of his outfits were absolutely fantastic, and I was so happy to shoot in them. 😍 Additionally, he totally respected my preferences and assured me that we would only shoot in the outfits I liked, which was very attentive and considerate.

He also asked me about my dietary preferences, which was nice because he was planning to treat me to lunch and wanted to make sure I could enjoy it.🥰 On the day of the shoot, he met me near the studio and helped me with my heavy bag. The studio was great and very comfortable, with a spacious changing room, a mirror, and even a kitchen stocked with delicious snacks that I was free to enjoy at any time.🤩

Martin is an absolutely awesome person! It was so easy and fun to communicate with him. Honestly, we spent more time talking than shooting. 🙈 I just couldn't stop chatting with him, as he shared so many interesting things, and time flew by quickly. 😄 Martin didn't rush me at all and gave me the freedom to choose my look. He quickly adjusted the lighting and allowed me to pose and be creative as I wished. We managed to capture a tremendous number of absolutely incredible photos, which made me very happy. Martin adjusted the lighting effortlessly, and we danced, laughed, and had a lot of fun while creating these amazing photos! 🥰

At the end of the shoot, Martin surprised me with gifting to me a couple of fantastic outfits, which made me very happy and looked amazing on me!🤩 He also helped me with my bags.

Martin shared edited images with me that looked absolutely stunning, and I truly appreciated it because I had been eager to have them😄🥰

I was thrilled to work with Martin; it was an absolutely gorgeous, easy, fun, and great shoot. I felt like I was shooting with an old friend. I highly recommend working with Martin; he is a great and easygoing person and a very talented photographer, as evident from his amazing portfolio. I'm looking forward to working with him again, which will happen very soon! Thank you so much for everything. 🥳🥰

Shoots with Martin are always such a fantastic experience!

We recently had another brilliant shoot at his wonderful studio set up in a local village hall and it was yet again another thoroughly enjoyable day filled to the brim with laughs, creativity and endless snacks! The way he looks after his models is top notch, the levels of consideration and effort into comfort levels and happy working environments just shows what a thoughtful and kind person he is.

And then of course you add the overwhelming photographic talent to the mix and it's just a remarkable day all around. Everything on the back of the camera continually blew my mind and with ideas flowing back and forth + Martin's gorgeous array of garments and impeccable music taste making our ears happy, the time absolutely flew by again. And I was floored by the results!

Martin is a great laugh to spend a day with and a fantastic photographer and I'll always recommend him wholeheartedly 😁

I haven't long finished 2 epic shoots with Martin within 3 days of each other and what epic shoots they were! Martin's pre shoot communications are genuinely amongst the very best I've experienced - he's quick to respond and attentive to each part of a message. He's eager to collaborate on ideas and get the very best images out of a shoot, which I truly love.

During the shoots themselves, Martin was extremely polite and professional. He even catered for me at lunch times! He's a perfect gentleman, always taking care never to invade your personal space at any time.

He's a very talented photographer, but what makes his art so much better than most is his genuine desire for the models input in the shots - whether through styling or posing. His enthusiasm for photography is amazing and he makes you want to strive for the very best you can produce.

It's been three absolutely joyous shoots with Martin and I truly can't wait for our next one.

Martin is one of the loveliest photographers I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with for so many reasons I don’t where to begin! With his extensive collections of clothes and accessories, hoards of snacks and a fantastic music collection - it’s easy to see how the time just flies by! Pre conns with Martin were a dream with everything you could want and need to know (he even asked me which side I prefer to be lit by!), on the day it was an absolutely blast. He is very funny guy who can talk almost as much as me and the photos that we got are truely beautiful. I can’t wait to see the final edits and work with him again in the next few months!!

The communication and arrangements leading up the shoot went smoothly so make sure everything was prepared as soon as I arrived.

My oh my.. What can I say? Martin and I have been in contact on and off for years, and finally we got the chance to work together! It was a fairly last minute shoot, but his pre shoot communications are so clear and concise that within a few messages the shoot had been fully organised.

We discussed the ideas and he even provided me with a few ideas of the types of images we were looking to achieve. Martin also gave me a brief for any outfits I may wish to bring, although we focused mostly on art nude along the wonderful North Devon coastline.

Martin was at our agreed meeting place waiting for me, waited for me to park my car before he took us to our location - which was breath taking! We captured so many stunning images and Martin was patient as I tried to perfect every single shot haha!

He was polite and professional throughout the shoot - a perfect gentleman. He was very careful to make sure I wasn't uncomfortable with the occasional beach goer and provided me with cover should I have needed it. His company is fantastic and our shoot flew by - I'm absolutely thrilled to be going to his location at the end of the month for another shoot!

I can't wait to see the final edits from this shoot and I'm already looking forward to our next - thankyou for treating me so well, and providing me with refreshments on a very hot day!

1000% recommend Martin wholeheartedly!

Another fabulous shoot with Martin, this time I travelled to Frome to shoot at his local studio.

Absolutely loved the shoot, Martin has the most extensive wardrobe I have ever seen so we were not short of options!

Everything we shot looked amazing on the back of camera, and I cannot wait to see the final shots. The shoot absolutely flew by.

As always, Martin is a lovely person to be around, easy to talk to and always respectful. Also, the fridge was well stocked (the most important thing) and I think I ate about 400 twixes.

I was very welcomed by him, so hospitable and friendly - I felt instantly at ease and comfortable.

We shot a range of great sets and I completely adore the images from Martin, and our time shooting together absolutely flew by.

Another fantastic shoot with Martin, and wow as always what A DREAM he is to work with!

This morning we had a glorious few hours shooting on location and despite the challenging weather, he remained in constant good spirits and consistently delivered the most beautiful images!

We shot a mixture of clothed and art nude amongst rock faces and flowers and as usual with Martins gorgeous garments, props and helpful direction, the results looked fantastic.

Super talented and a real pleasure to be around, I will never tire of working with him and forever find it such an honour!

Always a pleasure to shoot with Martin,I lost count how many shoots we had,and each one is more amazing than the other. Martin has a very artistic photography vision and does amazing things with light, he can change it drastically within one minute and all of his light settings are brilliant. Don’t forget to mention that Martin is an absolute pleasure to shoot with, absolutely tremendous talent and this time we even shot outdoors at some beautiful locations Martin suggested. Pre-shoot communication was excellent, and I received a warm welcome with plenty of hot drinks and snacks to fuel up on the day of the shoot too! We got some great images, many of which were high energy and Martin was great at making suggestions on the day that enhanced what we wanted to achieve. Highly recommended.
