Had a fantastic shoot with Oakesstudios, with me in front of the camera rather than behind it. Graham is both a great photographer and a nice person to work with, you know you've worked with someone good when the time flies by, and I think our shoot was the quickest three hours of my life. The resulting images were amazing, including one which I think is one of the best I've ever seen. Very highly recommended.

I can safely say a session with Graham will be a transformative experience. This was my first photo shoot - at the age of 54. Graham could not have been more supportive or encouraging. A friendly welcome; a studio heated and set up for my arrival; a calm, sensitive guiding hand throughout the shoot. He is a photographer of invention and imagination. And meticulous in execution - not least in his approach to lighting. If Graham likes a shot, he lets you know immediately - and that's a real boost. What I liked is how he saw "something" in parts of me that would not have universal appeal - the patterns of my body hair, for example. He transformed my sense of myself as a physical person - in the way he photographed me; and transformed the way I felt about my self.

I had my very first shoot with Graham and it was an absolute joy. Having never done this before, needless to say, I was very nervous. I shouldn't have worried, Graham was absolutely fantastic, very friendly and welcoming, put me at ease straight away. Graham gave great direction and was more than patient always with a smile on his face. He showed me the images as we took them to make sure I was happy and had lots of ideas as to what we could achieve on my first shoot. Great professional setup and I can't wait to see the edited set. Gram is lovely, friendly and fun to work with. Very professional, talented and passionate about photography. During the shoot he was giving useful directions when needed and open to other ideas.

I had a great time shooting with Gra, his attention to detail and knowledge about making a good photograph is exceptional. Each shot was carefully planned and Gra helped the model to make las minute adjustments to pose and other details that the finished images really stand out and are impressive.

I would definitely shoot with Gra again and plan to.

I’ve just had the great pleasure of working with Gra for the first time. Pre shoot comms were excellent and Gra had lots of ideas he wanted to try out at the venue. He is extremely creative with an artistic eye to see a great shot. It was very clear very quickly that he had a close eye for detail and knew exactly how to pose me to me create some fantastic images. We had a shoot schedule worked out before we met and it all ran to plan but with Gra seeing other opportunities as we went along. He put me at my ease at the start with his easy, friendly style.

Communications before the shoot were good. He had shots in mind he wanted to take and he requested different clothes and accessories we needed.

He was organised and professional on the day, working through the different shots he needed for composite photographs.

Definitely recommended.

I had a brilliant experience working with Oakesstudios and felt I learnt so much working with Gra on the shoot.

Gra is an expert of light, framing and photography and is constantly brimming with ideas. The amount of experience he has shines through.

He brought ideas he wanted to realise to the shoot but was also flexible and open to anything I suggested. I felt very comfortable and easy being around and working with him and I was surprised at how quickly we got many images I was really happy with. This came from Gra being an expert photographer and simply masterful at using and manipulating light, colour and knowing exactly what was going to work for me.

All our communications and planning before, during and after the shoot have been excellent and exemplary.

I can't recommend Gra highly enough. If you want some really unique and high-quality professional shots, you really ought to seek him out.

Brilliant planning, lots of items knocked back and forth, very easy to relate to on the day, more ideas, great fun, easy and relaxed, although I shall never look on a yoga ball again in the same way. Thoroughly recommend.

Couldn’t be more grateful for Gra for the shoot. Actually came to pick me up and dropped me back home after shoot since I didn’t know the place around.

Made the shoot extremely fun, articulated every pose and delivered the best!
