References for Montrose Studio

Atomic Images

Been to Montrose a few times now and it's just as awesome as the first time I attended. The sets are great and Phil and Sophie make you feel at ease instantly. I'm sure it won't be long until I'm back again. Thoroughly recommend.

Atomic Photography

Attended Montrose for the second time yesterday and was blown away again by the variety of sets and the vibe of the place. I genuinely wish it wasn't a 2 for drive for me to get there or is be there all the time. Studio is fantastically equipped and Phil was on hand to offer advice, etc. but without intruding. I really would recommend shooting here, especially if you have even the slightest leaving towards pinup!

Went on a group shoot at Montrose studio.

It was friendly and relaxed, small groups to comply with social distancing.

Lots of set ups and lots of natural light with big windows.

I will be returning in the future.

this was my 3rd time at Montrose. Fantastic studio an is my opinion its one of the Best in the North West. Phil M was brilliant with us as the guy went above an beyond to make the time we spent there put to good use. Elesha was on a trip up from Southampton an wanted to do some Pin Up. yet again thanks to Phil for the great direction when we did this. Sophia also great hospitality an makes sure you have everything you need while your there. the Studio has fantastic sets so if your looking to get away from the plain backdrops then this is the studio you want to use. HighLy recommend to any photographer an models

This was my first visit to the amazing Montrose Studios in Stockport - what an experience, so much room, so many excellent sets. Phil was there to provide tons of advice and help with lighting, poses and so much more - he even took me up to the roof of the mill where I took some shots with the terrific model Elesha.

Back in the studio, it's almost like there are too many sets and backgrounds to count - including a barn, a beach, a swing, several beds and settees, and large windows giving the opportunity to take natural light shots as well as using the wide range of studio lighting.

This was my first time at Montrose studios and it definitely won’t be my last! The studio is absolutely amazing it has a very vast variety of different sets! Backdrops and even a roof to shoot on! There is so much space and so many potential places to shoot to create incredible images.

Phil directed me in pin up poses which was kind and very useful! I’m very thankful to have learnt from you, it was so fun to be directed and learn a new skill

The studio along with so many sets also has a fantastic wardrobe to of clothes and props to go with it! I could have played dress up all day as there are so many beautiful options!

Thankyou so much for having me and next time I’m in the area I will definitely be back :) Highly recommended to all models and photographers

Whilst attending an MModels Management Worksop at Montrose Studios, I got the chance to have some shots taken by Phil. He was really relaxed, gave great direction, and gave me positive feedback when he could see I was doing a pose that he know looked great on camera. You can really tell that Phil is an expert at what he does and I would love to get the chance to shoot with him properly some time. Amazing studio space. Amazing photographer.

I visited Montrose Studio for the first time yesterday when I attended a pinup workshop. The studio is fantastic with multiple sets, must be 20ish, fantastic natural light through the huge windows and hundreds of props.

To top it all Phil & Sophie were absolutely fantastic hosts with one an expert photographer and the other a top class model. Highly recommended!

Had my 1st visit to the studio yesterday and was very impressed. Loads of natural light, lots of space and tons of sets. Only really scratched the surface of what’s possible to shoot there in the 4hrs. Sophia and Phil were excellent hosts and I hope to return very soon. Highly recommended.

I love Montrose Studios so much! They have a big variety of sets and a great changing/makeup area. On a sunny day you get fantastic natural light. Sophie and Phil are wonderful people and a joy to work with! I highly recommend this studio!

Attended a pinup course with Phil and Sophia. Had a great time and I can’t wait to get the images from the course loaded in. Phil provided lots of good advice which I’m sure I’ll be applying in the future. We just scratched the surface of what I think is possible at the studio and a return visit is definitely on the cards.

This is the fourth time I have used Montrose. Shophie and Phil are brilliant, the studio is well equipped and light and airy. The choice of set is out of this world. I used the studio on Sunday on a group studio day. Six models and six photographers in the studio at the same time and there was loads of space. I would highly recommend working in this studio. I am looking forward to the next one. Thanks guys.

Autumn Glow

Just shot at Montrose Studio today with JukeboxJonnie. The studio is insanely beautiful and massive, we shot for 6 hours and only covered half the sets. We made good use of the Pin up kitchen set, Diner, white bed, swing, hay bails and we even shot outside the studio in the industrial corridors.

It was a fantastic day, I really enjoyed myself. I’d recommend this studio to all. Me and Jonathan will definitely be back to shoot the rest of the sets in the near future! Thank you 😁

First time shooting at Montrose. What a fab studio!

Sophia met us in the car park and showed us to the studio on the top floor of an old mill building. Studio is a large space crammed with loads of fun, quirky, interesting sets plus some window natural light opportunities. We had five hours there and still lots of scope to go back sometime soon.

I attended yet another event at Montrose it was something a bit different it was a milk shoot with a great model great interaction posed with very little direction. Looking forward to the next event it’s always a great time whenever you’re at Montrose with Phil and Sophie

I had my first shoot at Montrose Studios an wasn’t disappointed. The studio is spotless an the equipment is top spec. The sets are all great with plenty of shooting space an well lit. The natural light in the studio can be put to good use for those who prefer it over strobe lighting. Pill was a great help an gave me hints an tips that resulted in my best set of images from the shoot. I highly recommend the studio to any photographer looking for a verity of set’s an props

A good friend of mine invited me to a group photoshoot at Montrose Studios on Sunday and I can say without hesitation that I will be back there. The sets are varied and incredible, I'm certain that you could shoot almost any idea you could come up with there and it would fit in at least one set, and the atmosphere is incredibly friendly. Phil was very helpful, helping both photographers and the models alike - he was even giving some direction to a very new model who was actually doing her very first shoot there that day.

Very highly recommended and I cannot wait to return.
