I took this on my iPhone XR on Saturday after dusk at the City Docks 5:55pm 15secs overall lasting 10 mins from 5:46pm just shuffled forward, leaning on the only rail to the right (nothing but steps beyond to the landing with water at the bottom). Just staring here or occasionally looking. around the docks. Just 10 mins but felt like an hour. One more step, lose your footing and down you go into the docks.
Enough people passing, enough light and activity. Even inches away but nothing, no one asked, no one came over, no one looked (in phone or elsewhere), no one did anything, no notice!
Perhaps I need to post a Photograph to get through what it is like? Even I struggle to explain what is going on in my mind at times. Not the first time, Bristol Bridge was years ago and I have a photograph of that too. This is the 7th time this year. The rare people who really know me would know why. This is also the 2nd time I have come the closest to actually doing it. After all the S word is only an attempt among many attempts as long as it doesn't work!
Obviously I am still here to post this so have filtered accordingly.
I still don't quite know why I didn't but just one tiny thought in my head about someone and I did want to see as a result if anyone would do anything.
The one to watch is the one who is always talking, seems fine, says their fine or not too bad, the quiet one, the lonely one. Who says nothing about their problems, always helping others. Looks fine, seems fine like everyone else. They are the ones who really need help.
The irony, Photography is supposed to help, it does, sometimes. Just can't do enough. Where is the Student Support hm? That brings it's own problems, the maintenance funding is not enough, not for everything we need.
On PurplePort it's Photographers and Models creating Photographs. It will soon be Christmas and it is the Season of Goodwill to Everyone!
So why can't we just get along?
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Mark.
