One Help for Heroes bracelet which I have always worn for a couple of years now and a Poppy, a Centenary Poppy with the years 1918-2018 in gold on the leaf.

There can be few verses so well known or as poignant and fitting as this.

There are also few if no people who do not have someone they know or family that has paid the ultimate sacrifice in conflict, military or civil.

This time of year especially in recent years is never a good time for me.

Perhaps the best way of remembrance I find is people should always remember why and whom gave their todays for our freedom as it is and build a better tomorrow so those who gave the ultimate sacrifice did not die in vain. As I understand it a chance that should not be wasted so that we remain sovereign and free.
