Boxer on a training bag, photographed for a local boxing gym. Camera focused on the ropes, but in the end I figured it was close enough for this shot. And I kind of like the person slightly defocused, it just wasn't on purpose :(
Because of the heavy back-lighting coming from the window above, I took a slightly different approch to editing than normal. Initially I decided it would be a black and white image because of the emphasis on light. I loved the black and white edit, however a thought occured to me and I took the original colour photograph and placed it over the black and white image. Then changed its blend mode to soft light. This resulted in the subdued colours you see in the final image as I unexpectedly loved the result.
