About Us

We are a two-person man/woman team. Sometimes one will take photos while the other assists, but we may take photos simultaneously from different angles. Wayne is generally the more technical along with being our photoshop wizard. Stephanie is more artsy and enjoys candid photos and can be a bit of a Ninja, with people not even noticing her camera right in front of their face!

Still relatively early in our progress of shooting models. Our portfolio is still in its early days, so looking for models to work with to help with that. Right now we will typically work for 'free' to help build up that portfolio, though we are open to paying a model (ie. I'm not necessarily expecting them to work for free) but if they are also relatively inexperienced and would like TFP we're happy to do that. Having a hard time finding models locally, everyone wants us to photograph their kids, which is fine but we'd like more than that in our portfolio.

The main portfolio here contains images taken with people from Purple Port, the albums will contain a selection of different photo types, just to demonstrate our style in different areas of photography.

Shoot Style

We're super calm and relaxed to be around and interested in getting images the model is pleased with, we will not ask for anything that could make you feel uncomfortable. We do not expect any level of undress, unless the model has discussed it prior to the shoot. We believe anyone can look amazing, no matter how much or how little is on show.

We can work with both natural light and strobe depending on the situation and continually working on our lighting skills when time permits!

Generally we do not expect a model to 'jump' between different set poses. We may pose if we have specific shot ideas, but a session will mostly consist of chatting while the model flows freely with feedback from time-to-time. We're always happy to hear ideas from the model, if there is something they would like to try. We have a portable changing room to bring with us for location shoots, to allow the model to change clothes in privacy at almost any location.

We consider the eyes the most important part of an image, when they are visible in the photo. No-matter what else is on show, if your eyes are in the frame we aim to have those grab the viewer.

Image Delivery

Photos are supplied via an online gallery specifically for you, where you can download the full resolution. Normally (depending on the number) the first images will be delivered within days of the shoot, with subsequent image updates almost daily (again, time permitting). We will always be available for communication if there are questions or feedback.
We do not watermark our photos, all images you receive will be free of any text/logo added. Other contributors to an image will be credited when we share an image on social media and whilst we appreciate being credited also, we do not require it.

You may receive a mix of colour and black and white images, as we love both styles.

Editing

Our editing is done with Capture One, usually this is restricted to exposure and simple colour adjustments to get the base photo into a good place. We then pull the image into Photoshop for more detailed editing, colour grading and any finishing touches (vignette, sharpening etc.). We will remove distractions such as plug sockets or cables if they made it into the photo (if unavoidable during shooting). We do not alter body shape unless specifically requested and we consider tattoos to be a part of the model and will not remove them unless we have been asked to.
