I had the great pleasure of meeting and working with Jim today at a studio booking in Warwick.

Jim's comms were detailed and spot on, when he arrived he was fully equipped with all of the props and clothing that he wanted me to use and I was happy to shoot with such a friendly, happy go lucky and pleasant gentleman.

The two hours went by so quickly simply due to the nice atmosphere that was created during shooting.

An enjoyable experience shooting with Jim for his future paintings and I do look forward to the possibility of a second shoot on my next tour

Far Forest Studio

We were pleased to welcome Jim to our studio the other day for our studio day with VictoriaH.

In preparation for the days shoot he popped in for a vist to see what we have and introduce himself. A sign he is a meticulous planner who likes to make sure every detail is covered.

He is a perfect gent, respectful and professional at all times, and very talented too, he was a pleasure to have here.

Highly recommended to any model or studio and we hope it won't be too long before we see him work here again.

Yesterday I've been shooting with Jim for the first time, in Sandon studio. What can I say? Wasn't only the most enjoyable shoot I had that weekend, but he is also the most eccentric photographer and artist I ever met!

I totally felt myself (well,I've always been quite crazy and strange to be fair Ahah), finally I could create stories from my imagination and I felt a proper actress!!!

Jim brought also some AMAZING and classy outfits, and also those outfits gave me an idea about the story we could create together.

I'm looking forward to see his paintings and especially to work again with him! Such an enjoyable shoot! I wish I could always work with people like him.

You all models down there need to try him and maybe you'll know what I mean!

I had an amazing first shoot with Jim at PoZersStudio! Pre shoot communication gave me every piece of information I needed and showed me how much thought and effort he'd put into making our shoot the best it could possibly be. Jim booked Ally (studio owner) to do my hair and makeup which would fit into the themes he wanted to create with me. It all flowed so naturally and it was so refreshing to be around somebody who has such a zest and excitement for life!! His energy really helped with the creative process and we bounced off each other so well. This was Jim's second ever shoot and first one on one shoot, he did awesomely well. The pictures on the back of the camera looked absolutely stunning and he brought out me..the real me not the model me which was exactly what we set out to do. The last series of images were really something special. Jim has selected one of them to paint from. I am so excited to see it one day when it is complete. Thank you Jim for a truly special shoot which I'll never forget, even if it has taken me almost 1 million years to leave you a reference ;) I may drop the ball sometimes in life's madness but I honestly can say that to work with you again one day would be a privilege. Eekkkkkkkkkkk !!!! I am so excited I get to be the very first person to be leaving Jim a reference !!!! Jim is a phenomenal artist and that is one of the most important things when becoming a photographer, this gentleman under-sells his abilities in photography, but don't believe him, being a true creative, musician and painter, creates the grounding for being a phenomenal photographer, and he will achieve this. I can see the passion in this man's eyes when he shoots, its like looking at myself when I first held a camera.

Jim might not have loads of photography experience to show on PurplePort, but he is no novice either, but as a painter, this takes a lot more skill and mind set and of course specialist creativity, photography for him will be come a way of life again, linked to his amazing art. Jim was testing his skills and pushed himself to grasp some stunning back of camera shots, he was creative cropping, and coming together with some phenomenal portraits and full length shots of Helen, really pushing his skills throughout the entire day. I was so proud to watch him evolve throughout the workshop, and see that "the magic of photography" light up his eyes, I think he shocked himself, but it didn't shock me, I could see his art on here, from the first time we spoke, I knew he would be a creative to watch out for on the workshop, and I'm really excited to see the images when he's finished with them.

Jim is very knowledgable in the world of art, and I think I could spend days chatting to this wonderful creative, and never become bored, he's the kind of guy you would want to be with, if you was locked in a bunker in a nuclear war or zombie apocalypse, because the conversations would flow and the potential art we could create together would be magical. Jim is a truly creative spirit and this oozzzes in his personality, he is his art, from the moment you meet him, his fascinating personality has you spell bound. Any model should be honoured tomwork with this fabulous gentleman, if he's going to paint you, be flattered, because a photograph is a beautiful piece of art work and factual about your looks and beauty, but true art comes from the heart, and the eyes of a wonderful creative, and this is Jim.

He built up a fabulous rapport with Helen Diaz during the workshop, sshhhhhhhh I definitely think he was one of her favourites throughout the day, shhhhhhh he was one of mine too.... we didn't want to let him leave, 9 hours of Jim time just wasn't enough, so I certainly hope he will be back at PoZers, because that would make me exceptionally happy, mind you, I might not let him leave next time and keep all his creativity and knowledge to myself !!! Lol !!! If your worried because Jim doesn't have any other references, don't be he really is a total gentleman, he was caring, kind and lovely to Helen all day, his interactions were 100% professional and honourable and I can't recommend him highly enough to any model, studio owner, stylist, makeup artist, photographer, tutor, absolutely anyone and everyone. Please if you get the chance to work with this wonderful man, do it, you won't regret it and I will place my reputation on it. Thank you Jim for bringing so much happiness, fun, laughter and artistic flare to the day, I sincerely hope from the bottom of my heart you return to PoZers one day in the future, even if it's just for a cuppa and a chin wag, because that would make me a very happy lady (loosely termed female cos I ain't no lady !!! Lol ). Shoot with this man and be flattered he wants to use you as a muse for his work, he's fabulous and you'll love every minute of it. We did. I'm just over the moon I got to "Pop your PurplePort reference cherry" !!! That's made my month !!!!!

I worked with Jim for the first time the other day and had an absolute blast!! Jim had kindly booked a place on a fantastic Art Nude Workshop hosted by the amazing Alley at Pozers studio in Swindon!

I am always a little nervous working with groups- especialley with photographers I haven't worked with before- or with limited experience- but from the start of the shoot Jim was a complete gentleman and I found him extremely respectful and great fun to be around!

Jim is an artist first and foremost- so I believe this was his first ever shoot with a model- but you wouldn't have thought of it! He has an immediate connection with whoever he is speaking to and is a joy to be around.

He has a very endearing, quirky, creative personality that you instantly warm to and it felt like working with an old friend. We had great banter and conversation throughout the shoot and I was often in histerics around Jim- he brings the best out in the model!

He was also complimetary and very kind, I felt very appreciated and respected as a model-and had such a great day! I really loved his sprit and really hope to work together again- no doubt we will keep in touch! :)

Thankyou Jim (Aka Willy Wonka!) It was a pleasure and really hope to work together again soon! Highly recommended to all! Helen x
