Thought originally to have been used for iconic photographs of Marlene Dietrich, this technique was first used by Queen on their second album cover, long before it became viral in the "Bohemian Rhapsody" video. Now parodied by just about everyone (including me). Grateful thanks to the girls for their patience, and especially Ian, who was nudging the light every which way.
