References for Helen Diaz

Some while ago I agreed to help a friend and fellow photographer by giving a portrait lighting workshop at a night school he helps to run. To make it more beneficial I was also asked if I could arrange for a professional model to come along and my thoughts turned to PP as the best source for someone.

After a little bit of persuasion the lovely Helen Diaz agreed to come and assist with my workshop.

Helen arrived at exactly the right time with a suitcase full of dresses for the occasion. When we got started Helen admitted to being somewhat nervous about working in front of 17 unknown people of varying photographic ability. But, and this shows how great Helen is, within a very short time the ice had been broken and we all got along brilliantly. The plan was to set up 3 fairly simple arrangements to demonstrate basic lighting techniques. The workshop went extremely well as Helen experience in front of a camera was invaluable as Helen knew exactly what I wanted to put over and took up appropriate poses. All students were able to take pictures of the different lighting set ups with Helen working her socks off.

That everyone came away satisfied was really down to Helen, she is such a natural model and really put a great deal of effort into it by being very warm, bubbly and enthusiastic (and having a good laugh lots of the time) which helped the students feel equally comfortable as most had never worked with a professional model before.

If anyone intends to run a similar workshop and needs a model - look no further than Helen - she is a natural.

I shot for the 5th time with Helen and, as usual, it was a great success and much fun :) Helen did all the organisation on this one, pulling together a 2nd model (Gingerface) a MUA (Delilah Rose) and a 2nd photographer (Mr. N McPillock no less!) into a raucous mad hatters tea party of a session :D (I'll leave you to decide which of us best fits the roles of Mad Hatter, March Hare, White Rabbit. Dormouse & Cheshire Cat :D haha )

Helen put a lot of effort into preparing herself for this and had sourced a number of fabulous outfits. looking gorgeous as always. Helen has an immense talent as a beauty model and can effortlessly move through a range of poses and expressions from uber-sultry to playful - see her portfolio to get an idea..

Miss Diaz is the biggest legend I know. You look at her portfolio and you are instantly sucked in! I was lucky enough to do a shoot with Helen this week and she is epic. Her looks are unique and stunning but not only that she has a bright and upbeat personality also.

Helen was kind enough to pick me up from the train station to the shoot and also provided me with green tea!

Helen came to the shoot well prepared and had brought along some amazing outfits. She is lovely to work with and I have to say it was an honour to do a shoot with a model like Helen.

And I cant wait to shoot with her again in the future!

What you see is what you get. An adorably nutty and beautiful creature. She makes everything seem effortless and relaxed, and is bloody funny company.

We shot at my Redland Studio against a black background and also in a bedroom full of beautiful natural light.

Helen brought some amazing outfits and looked sensational in all of them :-)

Well, where do I start!

Although in no way unfamiliar to photography, this was my first shoot with a model very experienced in topless and nude modelling. I tried to act cool and show her that I had done this more than once however she saw right through me:) The photographers that I had grown up on had a very unique perception of nude and that was different from what Helen was used to, so what started out very apprehensively actually ended up wonderful! Helen was very adaptable, approachable, confident and professional. By the end, I think Helen would agree, we were friends - laughing and joking and the whole session was so positive and creatively productive.

So to summarise, I think Helen is wonderful, not only in beauty, but character and charisma. Always professional - turns up on time and gets on with it!

Fellow photographers, no matter what your experience, get in touch with this girl as you'll be missing out on some great imagery if you don't.

one of those simply wow models/people that leaves a lasting impression. Shes a wonderfully eclectic mix, she can change the feel of image with a simple tilt of the head ... more muse than model in that you end up taking the shoot in directions you hadnt even thought of and still capturing all the images you'd originally conceived. So apart from the fact Helen didn't appreciate my tea making skills or lack of Kate Bush on my ipod (I'll try and work harder on at least one of those) Ive got nothing but positive words to say about her

It had been far too long since our last shoot together. I wanted to try out various lighting techniques in my 3 new studios... natural light, high key and fashion nude. Helen didn't disappoint.

She is an experience professional model that need little direction. She is confident and has a lovely kind, generous and bubbly personality which shines through in her work. A beautiful person inside and out.

Helen needs little direction and effortly moves from pose to pose allowing you to concentrate on your lighting and photography.

I would thoroughly recommend Helen to both amateur and professional photographers alike. Hopefully we will see each other again soon.

I had a great shoot with Helen. She came along with a huge section of great clothes for me to choose from and was ready fully made up in no time so we could start shooting quickly. She great to work with and was quick to take direction, but was great at building on this to give me an even better picture. I wanted to use all parts of the studio so Helen had to make several changes which she did very quickly. The result was that I was able to take several quite different pictures in a short space of time.

It's always a pleasure to shoot with Helen, she's professional, efficient and hard working whilst also managing to be incredibly fun to work with. The time always flies by when shooting with her, but you can be sure you're going to get just the shots you want, and they'll be stunning. I have shot with Helen many times and everytime she has been amazing, gives every shoot 110% and makes you feel like the centre of the universe while you shoot. It takes a pretty special model to take my No. 2 spot in my list of all time favourite models.

Helen is a very serious quiet girl ..... ha like hell she is! Had a wonderful shoot with Helen and actually we did managed to take some pictures in between chatting and putting the world to rights. She bought out the quirky side of me and despite calling me camp ;p we got on like a house on fire. I look forward to her touring Kent soon so we can work together again perhaps on location.

On a serious note Helen is an amazing model that can deliver awesome poses and has the most smouldering sexiest look. Can't wait to work with her again x

This was my fourth whole day shoot with Helen and as usual it was a day of sheer inspiration and pleasure, that passed far too quickly. Helen is not only beautiful, with an infectious laugh that cannot fail to inspire, but she is so experienced that it would be impossible not to get good pictures, even for an old buffer like me.

I always try to make a shoot different from any earlier ones, and Helen made this easy by bringing clothes and accessories that made producing new pictures a dream. These included a most beautiful wedding dress that was a real vintage masterpiece.

Add to this her easy conversation, and interesting ideas and you have a day that never flags and which will give me joy for a very long time. There was much that we could have worked on but sadly did not have time for, so that we spent the whole day on fashion. We already have another day booked for two weeks on Thursday.

Her administration before and during the shoot was superb with excellent communications, a willingness a to fit in with my constraints, prompt arrival and excellent preparation. Thank you Helen for one of the most enjoyable shoots I have ever been privileged to take part in.

Had a great first shoot with Helen. We decided to shoot indoors due to the wet weather, in a fairly cramped room, not ideal but she was brilliant. She brought several outfits and we got a wonderful variety of shots. She is so easy to work with, relaxed, totally professional, but above all great fun.

I just had a really great creative shoot on location with the amazing Helen D. Our session was hastily put together at the last minute but I really enjoyed the day and underneath her friendly, bouncy and pretty zany character lurks an extremely professional and gorgeously photogenic model of the highest calibre.

Helen is totally at ease in front of the camera and was able to create pose after effortless pose enhancing the ideas from my theme. The results speak for themselves and I can absolutely recommend Helen to any photographer. Just remember to take Jaffa Cakes :)

Well there is really nothing more I can add to for someone who has over 400 references :) I have been working with Helen for a few times and it is really hard to get a bad photos of her!
