The Den is a great little studio. A habitual user of natural light, I was keen to experiment with a studio setup, and was very impressed with the facilities and the results. Helen was very helpful and a lot of fun to work with, and the lighting, backdrops and props were just what I was looking for. Highly recommended.

This was my second time working with Helen, and my first time in The Den, having previously shot inside Helen's house.

The studio is a well-equipped double garage conversion, with a good amount of space (plenty of room for using an 85mm lens, for example). There are many lights and modifiers available, and a trigger for my Canon camera was no problem (except for me forgetting to remove it from my camera at the end of the shoot!... I returned it soon after with no harm done :-)). Various props for typical studio set-ups are on hand, as are a variety of backdrops.

Helen and Roger are a super-talented model/photographer couple, and equally charming hosts. We had a good few laughs over coffee while settings things up, and Roger very kindly assisted with arranging the lighting for me at the start of the shoot, which was a big help since I'm new to studio shooting. I got some great shots and would highly recommend The Den to anyone interested in studio photography :-)

I had a shoot with Helen at her home studio. I have left a suitable, positive, reference for Helen, but this is to acknowledge that the Den is a great place to shoot and I recommend it as a place to hire in its own right. It is well equipped, easy to find and the hosts are friendly and helpful.

I shot with Helen last year assisted by Roger on what I believe was one of the first remote shoots done at The Den.

The Den is an impressive space with top quality equipment. Helen and Roger are lovely people, Helen is an amazing model and Roger is an accomplished photographer, well qualified to assist where required.

I’m sure the natural light and outdoor areas that have been added are equally impressive. Highly recommended for any project!

I've shot with Helen several times, most recently at her home/studio. The studio is very well equipped with plenty of lights/modifiers, is easily accessible and has convenient parking.

The garden is also a great space for natural light shooting and Helen is very knowledgeable and always provides plenty of ideas.

Definitely very highly recommended.

My first time working the lovely Helen, the shoot booked in part using The Den and house.

A nice studio with a good variety of lighting equipment, stands, backdrops etc which should cover the needs of most photographers plus the addition of the garden subject to weather.

Helen and Rodger are great hosts being totally professional and courteous.

Thoroughly recommended. :)

My last shoot before the first Covid lockdowm

I had wanted to shoot with Helen for a long while and was happy when this opportunity presented itself. The studio is spacious with a variety of lights, backgrounds and props. Helen and Roger were very welcoming and I had a productive shoot.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Den to other photographers and models. I hope to get the chance to shoot there again.

I had my first shoot at The Den studio recently. Roger and Helen were the perfect hosts, very friendly and welcoming, supplying great tea and snacks.

The studio is incredibly versatile for a single room with lots of backdrops, props, great lights and smoke machine. I look forward to visiting The Den studio again and would recommend it to any models and photographers.

I had the pleasure of attending an event held by the wonderful Helen at her new home studio "the den", it's lovely studio, equipped with everything one would need, and during my shoot, we did fashion, art nude, bodyscapes and highly recommend. Helen's then finance "Roger"was on hand for sorting the lighting, and if you need good assistance then he's friendly, great to get along with just as Helen.

I had the pleasure of being hosted by Roger and Helen back in December and whilst there I had 2 shoots at The Den! The first with a local photographer I have worked with numerous times, and the second was an impromptu shoot with Roger and Helen themselves :)

The Den is a fabulous space! It was well heated which is a big plus for me as I struggle with bad blood circulation, had various backdrops including a beautiful mottled effect one, and a tonne of different props to play with too :)

It has everything you need and wonderful hosts behind it too - highly recommended :)

Amazeballs

The Den is a super space in its own right, I shot Helen there utilising excellent available lighting, backdrop and props. What elevates the studio into the astrosphere is the possible presence of one or both of the personable Helen & Roger, master & mistress of photography & modeling. Either of them will provide any guidance you might need & if you don't already have the pleasure of meeting them, then you should do so. There is on street parking outside. I intend to use the space again. Highly recommended.

Having worked with Helen several times, having the Den as well was a joy.

Five minutes from my home and seconds for Helen. I was able to use this studio right at the beginning of the new venture.

Well equipped with backgrounds, lights and props tea, coffee, biscuits and even on one occasion home made mince pies, who could ask for more.

Well more came in the form of the beautiful Helen of course, that was the clincher.

Book them both, now.

I attended a group shoot run by Roger and Helen, it ran to time with plenty of opportunities to shoot and several set/lighting combinations. Both are a pleasure to work with and very good hosts. I would certainly return.

I finally shot with Helen for the first time on one of her group shoots she organised at her growing home studio space.

The studio was well equipped with a variety of modifiers available and there were some props to use.

Despite it being one of the earlier shoots she'd organised at her new space it went smoothly and everything worked plus there was plenty of tea/coffee and nibbles to boot.

It’s nice to have a good space available to shoot with Helen and other visiting models plus I think it’s added a few enhancements since I last visited so it’d be good to make a repeat visit to see all of the work for myself.
