References for Girl on Fire - Lydia

Great pre-coms led to us meeting on a cold but sunny day in a park. Ideas were played with for the following two hours, the results of which I for one am quite happy with, hope Lydia is too. Actually, it was a fun shoot, hopefuly we'll get to do it all again when the weather warms up. :)

They dont call her Girl on Fire for nothing. Lydia is flaming hot! Despite it being a cold winters day, Lydia modelled today in an open derlict building, wearing shoulderless dresses and a Ballet outfit. Never complained once and gave it 100%. She has a rare grace, elegance and class. She's very photogenic and poses mainly undirected. The pre comms and punctuality were great. Its not a case of if I would shoot Lydia again, but when I will shoot her again.

This fast rising star gets a 100% recomendation.

And I thought 2020 was a write off!

It's a bit of a game, this finding models to work with malarkey. Like Tinder but without claiming to be an Olympic snowboarding champion and running an anxious kitten sanctuary alongside my work as an international human rights lawyer/spy. When I say 'anxious kitten sanctuary' I mean a sanctuary for anxious kittens, not an anxious sanctuary for kittens. But you knew that already.

So when I happened across GOFs profile I thought, woohoo . . . looks *tick*, location *tick* and skills *tick*. What's the catch? She only speaks Esperanto? You can't get her wet or feed her after dark?

Well, the first attempt at comms went swimmingly - always a good sign. (I've recently received "yes" as the reply to my question "what's your availability?" from another model! Abort! Abort!). Definitely not the case with Goffy (as she's not known). Eloquent, intelligent and smart.

Long story long . . .

Our first shoot (for there will be many more, oh yes!) was outdoors on a cold day in a mixed urban/rural location. Awesomeness from the off! GOF has a smile to melt an iceberg and an outlook that would make a shopping channel presenter appear morose. GAME ON!

We had booked 4 hours (damn these short winter days) but still over ran. Chat, laughs, ideas and shooting flowed continuously. And a brace of gorgeous images were nailed!

GOFs strength is dance. Did we shoot any? No. Why? Because I'm an idiot! Not to worry, those shoots will follow - as will many others.

GOF is nothing short of an absolute delight. Highly recommended and I can't wait for our next shoot.

Maybe 2020's not a complete write-off, after all. Bring it on, 2021 . . .

The first shoot with Lydia, (girl on fire) went extremely well, from the discussions we had prior to the shoot she had really listened and totally understood the theme of the shoot. For example no heavy make up, no changes of clothes, just dress for the weather, a cold but quite bright Autumn day as it turned put. The work I do is always based around themes, this theme was 'the girl next door portraying thoughts and emotions from the film "The Girl on The Train".

A selection of portraits that I shoot with Lydia will form part of my 'Portrait Book" and show varying images of Lydia from the girl next door to the sensual woman (no nudity).

She showed a very professional approach in understanding the brief and considering we had to keep our distances meant very few words being exchanged on the shoot, she didn't need direction, Lydia had already got her favourite quotes from the film and posed them perfectly.

We shall shoot for the most part of 2021, 100% recommended.

I had an outdoor location shoot with Girl on Fire recently at a location local to me. She arrived bang on time, and brought a friend who helped her with makeup, changing and styling.

Girl on Fire had chosen several excellent outfits, which were beautifully styled and perfect for the task in hand - and her hair and makeup were also done to a high standard.

Girl on Fire has a fabulous look, and a toned physique from her dancing and Yoga. She has the dancer's natural poise, and does en pointe with ease and elan. Her energy and work rate are impressive - she climbed onto high (church) wndowsils without hesitation, and put 100% into every pose. In short she is delightful to work with.

I predict Girl on Fire will do well, and I recommend her without hesitation to other photographers - she's a star!

Over the summer I had two entirely different photoshoots with Girl on Fire. The first was a pole fitness shoot whilst the second was her on terra firma doing editorial fashion. Both shoots were fun and we got some fantastic results. At that stage she was very new to modelling, but her performance background more than made up for that. She has great physical confidence and as a dancer has a good awareness of bodylines in poses.

On top of all that, GOF looks fabulous, is enthusiastic and intelligent and.....that hair!!!

She gets the highest of recommendations from me!

I was lucky to be able to shoot with Girl on Fire at a group shoot earlier this year. Naturally photogenic with fab hair and the added benefit of her dance background made it a great shoot. We had a relaxed, fun session - nothing was too much trouble, an excellent collaboration and it’s a pleasure to see Girl on Fire progressing her modeling career. Looking forward to the next one.
