i had such an excellent shoot with stunningly beautiful Lydia(GirlonFire) in Lincoln on an outside fashion shoot around the Castle and Cathedral and i was absolutely over the moon with how the images have turned out and wow what an amazing model she is and so incredibly beautiful with her stunning looks and amazing figure.

Lydia was such a delight to shoot with,she was very polite through out the entire shoot which made photographing her so enjoyable and she is extremely talented,hard working and very professional.

Everything leading up to the shoot could not have been any better - superb pre shoot communication and great idea exchanges.

The enthusiasm was evident right from the start and I had a really good feeling. She arrived fully ready to shoot with everything as agreed. She takes direction extremely well and also poses without any hesitation. She fully engages with the processes and also is really willing to throw ideas around. Great eye for detail and really passionate about producing the best image. And so...after all the rigours of lockdown we were finally able to shoot again

I guess the first shoot was always going to feel a bit special.....but boy,had no idea just how special this was going to turn out.

I had first noticed G O F on Instagram and knew straight away that I wanted to shoot with her.

Messages and comms were soon in place and we arranged a shoot at the fabulous Two Wei Location House.All the time,comms were excellent.....we even had a little chat on the phone to 'break the ice'

Lydia arrived bang on time with more outfits than you could 'shake a stick at'.....we had set up a 6 hour shoot but no way we could get through them all....no worries,plenty to go at next time.

The weather was kind to us and we spent a lot of time in the gardens and covered several different styles.....also using the beautiful house as well when we got the odd shower.

Lydia is bursting with enthusiasm,she is beautiful..inside and out.....an absolute stunner and a dream to work with.That red hair really is 'something else',and whilst it is a great asset to her look,it should take nothing away from her overall beauty and ability.....given she has not been doing this long,who would know.....efortlessly flowing from pose to pose.Myself & Carl & Wendy from Two Wei were all blown away by her.

I thoroughly enjoyed this shoot.....an absolute joy from beginning to end with a truly beautiful human being.....the highest of recomendations from me and absolutley no question that we'll be getting together again....cannot wait.

If your thinking of working with her....stop thinking and do it....you will not be disapointed.

On time, well prepared, delightfully polite, respectful of property and an absolutely fabulous model.

GOF worked extremely well with her photographer and got on so well we couldn’t believe this was their first shoot together.

GOF should be on your WTWW list but we’d expect you to have to join a very long queue if you don’t get your skates on soon!

I got the chance to work with G.O.F for the second time yesterday. I'm sure she was even better than last time. If you like a model thats classy, versatile, modest, fun to work with and will go the extra mile - then its G.O.F every time. I think I probably got some of my best ever photos yesterday and G.O.F played a big part in that. I think what I like best about her is her amazing hair.

It's been so long in the pipeline because of the pandemic but finally the day came for us to work together and, what an enjoyable day it was. Lydia turned up in good time with a lovely mixture of outfits. She is so easy to get on with and, likes a proper (builders) cup of tea!

We were soon into shooting and, with virtually no direction at all, Lydia was producing some great poses.

Lydia is naturally beautiful with stunning red hair and a great personality and I am looking forward to the next time we shoot together.

Shoot #3 with the amazing GoF!

Model fatigue? Over exposure to singluarly awesomeness? Once, twice, three times a jinx? From one season to another . . .

Oh my, lawks-a-lordy! Every shoot with GoF is better than the last, and the one before (but won't be as good as the next).

This time round was a bit of a commando raid. GoFs popularity, and my overwhelming need to shoot with her in a bright yellow rapeseed field, meant time was tight. But you know what that does, right . . ? It means we stop off for a burger first then put the world to rights :-). Spending time with GoF is always an out-and-out joy. No cliches here but brains and beauty in equal measure with a gorgeous personality.

So, onto the matter in hand . . .

Shooting into the light, with the light, with a large reflector and a good wind, hiding in the blossom, leaping with incredible energy and elegance high above it . . . we got the lot. And all in super quick time (for me, anyway).

Still a gazillion images to edit - and every one a nailed-on winner!

GoF is one of the best model/dancers I have had the pleasure of working with in the last 10 years. She has great body awareness, poses effortlessly and works tirelessly to secure the shot the photographer wants. Her pre-shoot communication was exemplary, and her enthusiasm throughout the shoot itself made the time fly by.

I've been shooting professional and aspiring professional dancers for over 35 years, and GoF is amongst a very small group of exceptional dancers that I would happily shoot again and again ! As well as her dance skills she also brings intelligence and good humour to her role.

Sparkling personality, great looks and beautiful hair, with dance skills as an added extra - GoF is an absolute diamond !

Faithful Imagery

Though I always pride myself on being a very expressive, eloquent and articulate creator, I stumble and fall at the task of writing a reference that truly captures what is it is like to work with Girl On Fire. Not because there is anything that would discredit her; far, far from it. Rather because simply stating that Girl On Fire is worth working with is as much of an understatement as merely stating that the sun is hot or that puppies are cute or that William Shakespeare was a good writer. Inarguably, all three are very much true, but understanding these facts requires unpacking. Let me attempt to do that here using two analogies.

Analogy Number 1. I recently read a book called 'Humans' by Brandon Standon; an American photographer who undertook the brave and fortuitous task of photographing ten thousand people around the world and listening to their complex and intricate stories. Though the photographs in themselves are not necessarily striking or creative, the real impact lies in the subject's stories. They are beautiful, complex, heartbreaking, challenging and deeply honest and the book captures the entire gamut or human experience. On one page you're reading about a young man sitting on a park bench with a beautiful young girl as he playfully explains that he has absolutely no idea what to do or how to behave with this new experience and the next, you're reading a Rwandan woman's harrowing story about surviving genocide. The book left me with two overwhelming feelings. First, I was left wanting more and second, I needed to tell everybody I could find about the book I'd just read. This is one way to describe working with Girl On Fire..

Having met her on Instagram, with her trademark flame coloured hair being the initial draw, I knew I wanted to create something different; something that would stand out among the other excellent images on her account. With a few examples shared, she didn't need much convincing. Girl On Fire was professional, very friendly and very enthusiastic to try new things. Our first shoot day was long and very demanding but she far exceeded my expectations and like the aforementioned book, I was left wanting more. It's her energy and zest for life as well as her creativity that left me wanting to find another project on which to collaborate and ultimately, tell every photographer that I know to work with her too.

Analogy Number 2. Girl On Fire is like a very beautiful trove filled to the brim with wonderful treasures. Having spent time with her photographing as well as talking about LITERALLY EVERYTHING, it becomes clear that the strikingly obvious external beauty that may initially draw photographers is not her only endearing quality.

Girl On Fire is a woman of depth, intelligence, maturity and wit. She's insatiably driven, motivated and open minded. She is strong and willing to be vulnerable. If this is not enough, she is proficient in a wide variety of dance styles and practices and even speaks multiple languages.

That last point may not be of any use to those who work with her but I include it to strengthen my analogy. This trove may come with pale skin and a shock of fiery red hair but inside lies skills and abilities that anybody who works with her would be utterly enthralled by.

Do I recommend her? Wholeheartedly; in a heartbeat. In a year marked by darkened patches across its vast creative landscape, Girl On Fire is a vibrant, very bright and most welcome star.

And this star is only 20 years old. I'm interested in following its trajectory because it's only going to burn brighter and brighter.

Follow it. Draw to it. Engage with it.

To Girl On Fire, you have certainly have raised the bar.

Faithful Imagery.

Faithful Imagery

It's the powering down hum of engines, slowing to a cool. It's the slumping in my brown leather chair with a well-earned pizza and iced coke. It's the hundreds of images photographed and the steep editing mountain that awaits me. It's eyes burning, blinking to fight off tiredness as I edit a few promised samples to post. It's the slowly encroaching wave of exhaustion that will inevitably consume me. It's the after-glow; a happiness, mingled with the satisfaction of a job well done. It's the laughter as memories of conversations, both deep and absurd replay through my weary mind. It's the mess of a studio that needs to be reset following the numerous set ups with this particular model. It is the aftermath of working with Girl On Fire.

Another day, another shoot; one more to tick off our long list of projects.

Girl On Fire is special; a diamond among rubies and I don't write that in reference to her beauty. With porcelain skin, green eyes, and strikingly angular features framed by that trademark fiery red mane, her physicality would be the most obvious thing that makes her stand out from the crowd. But I challenge you to look beyond that. The person I recommend to you stands apart from the crowd because of her heart; her soul, her essence, the internal stuff that makes her, well...her. That's the stuff that makes the outer stuff work so well.

Here's the thing. One of the things I value most about our sessions is the experience of the shoot. Girl On Fire is warm, approachable, intelligent, mature and very, very funny. Today, as we photographed our way through multiple set ups, we talked a lot and we laughed even more. We walked, we got muddy, we got rained on and we got asked to leave one place or armed response police units would be called to our location. We climbed over gates, slid over logs, danced in fields and lay on the wet grass, all in the name of creativity and as fun and utterly productive as this was, the biggest take away was the joy in spending time with a such wonderful model.

Girl On Fire is beautiful and takes excellent pictures; that is fact. Her presence on your portfolio is essential and comes wholeheartedly recommended. But far more than that, Girl On Fire is a wonderful, wonderful human; that's another fact and her presence on a your shoot is also essential.

Because it's close to 1am and the ability to fight off sleep is becoming increasingly futile, I'll end with this. Girl on Fire is one of those people who's personality makes you wish it were possible to bottle up people's personalities and spray them in the air like an air freshener that transforms a dark and murky room.

Because of what you see, book her because her physical presence will transform your portfolio but because of what I have written, book her because her essence will transform your shoot.

To Girl On Fire, biggest, BIGGEST thank you. You're an ABSOLUTE WONDER!

Well Lydia is just a real star and a joy to shoot. We had a fantastic first shoot. I knew Lydia had some superb photos in her portfolio so I had high expectations and I was not disappointed. Lydia has a striking and very classy look but is also great fun to work with, very professional and willing to put 100% into the shoot day. Lydia’s dance background shines through in her posing and she can pose elegantly but also takes direction well. Although COVID has made arrangements difficult our pre-shoot comma we’re always prompt and clear so we both had a shared vision of what we wanted to achieve on the day and all our arrangements came together seamlessly.

I would love to shoot with Lydia again as she is such a delightful combination of professionalism, talent and enthusiasm. I am really looking forward to post-processing our pictures and just hope I can do justice to the raw material I was given to work with :)

Blimey crikey Charlie, where to start??

Second shoot with the truly lovely Lydia and it was an utter joy from start to finish.

Lydia has a joie de vivre that is second to none. This is much more preferable than her having a Vauxhall Viva next to a nun!

Lydia’s comms are always excellent. Words good Lydia with is!

I foolishly didn’t take advantage of Lydia’s phenomenal dance skills on our first shoot. We did this time though! God dayum, that gurls got mooves!!

We over ran. We did last time and I know we will next time. This is a very good thing.

We caused much dance, fashion, climbing and a clambering, and smokey smoke grenade mayhem in and around a town centre. Neither of us were arrested! This is a very good thing.

I had outfits. I bought outfits. It was cold. An outfit broke. A train station platform was taken liberties with. Young boys stopped and stared. (They sodded off). We shot gazillions of quality snaps 📸!) This was a very good thing!

WE GOT A PIE 🥧!!! (FPI to the uninitiated). This is a VERY good thing!

Would I work with Lydia again? Have already 😇.

Would I work with Lydia again again? Damn rootin’ tootin’ I would. And again! Plans are a foot!!

Had my first shoot with gof yesterday.

Pre shoot communications were excellent and she arrived early.

The shoot was excellent, very easy to work with, for dance shoots it is imperative that you work together as a team to get the shots, we certainly did this and GOF can pose on her own but equally will take direction.

Highly recommended and will work with GOF again.
