NGC 6995 Eastern Veil Nebula in Cygnus
The Eastern Veil Nebula is part of the remnant of a supernova that exploded between 10,000 and 20,000 years ago.
The source was a star 20 times more massive than the Sun and the nebula is 2400 lightyears distant.
In this image hydrogen has been mapped to red and oxygen to both green and blue, from just over 5 hours of data capture.
