Old Bakery Photography Studio

We had the pleasure of hosting Helen-Rose for a Group Shoot this evening. Pre-comms were spot on and Helen arrived nice and early, with plenty of time to get ready. She was ready to shoot on time, with clothing, hair and make-up done o a high standard.

Relaxed and really easy to work with, Helen was a joy to have in the studio. She posed beautifully without need for direction, but was open to ideas and responded well to direction when given. She worked well with all of the different photographers, giving them all something unique.

Everyone was really pleased with their images and I'm sure we will be inviting Helen back to the studio for another shoot soon. Definitely a "highly recommended" from us.

In fact our shoot went from classical to rock chick stopping off at bridal on the way, how did that happen?

I waited a long time to work with Helen, attracted by her musical influence. Certainly worth the wait and a good fun shoot all round. Highly recommended.

Had a fantastic shoot with Helen.

Helen came fully prepared Including makeup and hair curling tongs.Such an easy person to work with , versatile and interesting.

I wanted to practice various lighting techniques and test a newly acquired aerial hoop, we did it all and much more.

When I've improved a bit more I'd love to work with Helen again.

I have just had a third shoot with Helen, again around her native Brighton.

As usual the pre-shoot communication was great and we decided on a part autumn theme and part using some amazing graffiti around the lanes in Brighton.

Helen certainly knows the best places to shoot and as I have previously stated she is super easy to work with, always offers her ideas and once again the resulting images were outstanding.

I would again highly recommend her and I look forward to planning another shoot in the future.

I have just had my second shoot with Helen this time outside in her native Brighton.

The pre-shoot communication was again first class and her suggested areas to shoot at were perfect.

Helen brought a number of outfits which fitted well with the diverse settings from the beach, a windmill and finally a cemetery.

Helen is very easy to work with poses effortlessly and always offers her ideas to improve the images. She is friendly and we chatted throughout covering a number of subjects.

The resulting images were outstanding including a number of portrait shots.

I would highly recommend Helen and we are already planning our next shoot.

Had the great pleasure of working with Helen on a shoot today. First time behind the camera for a while and what a model to have for this shoot.

Took direction not that she required any. Camera click, pose, change, pose and go. Fantastic poses.

Outdoor shoot, started with bright summer midday sun, no clouds then onto a sea mist coming in and dramatic temperature drops.

Started in a field of sunflowers, then 15feet on top of straw bales.

Definitely would like to work with Helen again on shoot. Time flew by, aimed for 2 hours and flew through to 3 hours.

Feel like it was more of a privilege being able to work with Helen.

Helen-Rose was absolutely great to work with, from the pre-shoot comms to the final set that we shot. She brought plenty of outfits and was very efficient in changing and very happy to select good combinations of attire. We had great fun and good conversation as we worked together and I was able to obtain some lovely images. I would happily recommend Helen-Rose to others.

I had my first shoot with Helen at her Kempston studio day and it was most enjoyable.

The pre-shoot communication was good and Helen turned up with the requested outfits and her violin.

The shoot itself went well and Helen is very easy to work with, posing effortlessly. We completed three sets, with changes of outfit, and we used the violin to add a different dimension to some of the images which was excellent. Helen's input to the shots was excellent and we reviewed the results as we went along. Unfortunately two hours was not enough and the time just flew by.

I would highly recommend Helen and I look forward to arranging another shoot with her around her native Brighton.

I had a great shoot with Helen-Rose today!

Pre-shoot communications were prompt and straight-forward, so we were quickly able to arrange a shoot in a seaside village. Helen helpfully suggested the location and arrived on time with outfits fitting the theme we discussed.

Helen's sociable and very easy to get along with, so we had a stress-free and enjoyable shoot. I was struggling with the hard light, so she suggested some shady areas where I was able to get a much better exposure. Helen has many talents and has an active lifestyle so she was able to hold some great poses. We also shot with her violin, which gave an interesting dynamic to some of the photos.

This was a very enjoyable shoot, and I'd highly recommend Helen to other photographers.

For one of my projects this year I needed a violinist and Helen was the obvious choice. We'd worked together once before - five years ago now - and I knew she could deliver what I wanted. Communication beforehand was first class and Helen met me on the day with everything we'd discussed and more.

We worked on location in and around the North and South Lanes area of Brighton - an area suggested by her as being suitable and indeed it was. Helen poses effortlessly and is also happy to go with suggestions put to her no matter how ridiculous they might seem. This certainly made the day of one local shop owner who couldn't believe she was going to climb onto a roof, and then proceeded to watch with fascination as she did just that! Having finished what we needed to do with the violin, Helen and I spent the rest of the time doing some fashion shots in a couple of very nice locations.

If it hasn't come across as obvious yet, Helen is great to work with and I have no hesitation in recommending her to you.

I am not sure how many times Helen and I have worked together but this was. as ever, a creative session on location at an oddly named One Three Hill in Essex (odd because there are many trees!). Helen arrived on time and after a brief catch up and a discussion about outfits to wear we got on with the shoot. Helen had a lot of outfits and we chose a few dresses that would fit in with the location. Helen always poses with ease and without the need for direction. She contributes well suggesting angles to shoot from. We reviewed the images as we went along and Helen copied some boc photos (I like that). The weather was good-well it is 1st May. Another great shoot with one of my favourite models. We always have a good time and it's always good to catch up. Thanks Helen.

Another jaunt around the beauty spots of good old Essex & this time the weather behaved and we found a really unique rustic painted wall & spent 20 mins just shooting there, so all in all my usual style with Helen, no plan & random locations & will always seem to get a winner!

It's always a treat to work with Helen who brings bags of enthusiasm & energy to a shoot (and a bit of personal training for an old goat like me!)

Here's to the next bout of randomness!

I Had Jeff B contact me for studio hire to which along came Helen modelling for the shoot. I did't have communication with Helen before the shoot but from what I heard her communication with Jeff was fantastic. It snowed quite heavily this night before and still made the shoot within plenty of time despite her not staying too local to the studio, this was fantastic commitment.

Helen as a person is fantastic with a great personality and did not disappoint at the shoot, She arrived with a large case of clothing, I didn't take a look but I'm sure more than enough items was in it and Jeff seemed very happy too.

Recommended 100% and hope she makes it back home safe.

I had the pleasure of working with the lovely Helen-Rose for the first time on a 1-2-1 shoot at the Shapeshifter studio in Warrington while Helen was on the last stage of her northern tour. Pre shoot comms were perfect, and Helen arrived as planned and prepared with a super selection of outfits that fitted her style perfectly as well as the ones I had requested.

Helen is genuinely a lovely person with so much talent, creativeness, enthusiasm, and passion about her craft. Throughout the shoot Helen was full of positive energy with a “Can Do” attitude putting 110% effort into every shot, she not only poses effortlessly but she has a great eye for the fine details ensuring she brings any concept to life with an amazing Wow factor.

If you are lucky enough to work with this fantastic young lady, then you’re in for an amazing shoot. Highly recommended. Thanks for your patience and a great shoot, looking forward to working together again when your back in the north :)

Despite the weather throwing it's worst at us with snow, Helen arrived bang on time with a warm smile and a big case full of ideas.

This was my first shoot with Helen and it was amazing. Helen is highly professional, creative, poses with ease and great fun. We shot several sets and created amazing images.

It was wonderful to catch up with helen again whilst she was hosting a model day at the studio.

Its been such a long time since we last shot & I was fortunate to be able to spend a little 1 to 1 time with Helen at the end of her studio day.

As per our previous shoots we got very creative & had so much fun

It's been way too long & hopefully we will see her again in the new year :)

We always seem to shoot in either the height of summer or the depths of winter, so another trip to the south coast for a day of different styles & looks as always. Helen was outstanding & we rattled through at least 5 very different looks all with Helen's ease of posing and my shooting style of falling over on purpose!

A great person to be around & fun to work with.

I had a lovely shoot with Helen this week and it was so nice shooting with her again since our first shoot together many years ago.

We shot a wondeful variety of sets including Bnw Fashion, a beautiful musician portrait of Helen and her violin, some lovely soft dusty pink fashion, a brand new set design of dust sheets and fashion and some traditional headshots and finished with a fitness clothing shoot.

Helen is great to work with and helps produce great images and we have already discussed a 3rd shoot in 2024.

What a great first shoot with Helen! I booked her for a small group shoot at a very popular photography location in West Sussex. Communication was excellent from the start, and Helen arrived early and well prepared for the shoot. She brought some great colourful outfits which worked realy well at the location, and didn't complian at all about the horrendous wind which we had to work in today. She look fantastic throughout the shoot and posed without direction. Everyone attending captured some great images and I hope to shoot with her again soon
