The Barn Studio

It was great fun collaborating with Fern to offer a duo model studio day at the Barn Studio. Fern made all the planning arrangements and communication leading up to the event very easy. As for modelling, Fern is super-talented and a lovely person to be around. Thank you Fern for helping to make the day go so well. I really can't wait to see you back at The Barn Studio for future shoots.

Fern first contacted me to thank me for loving some of her images, and would like to work with me someday. Which was fortunate because I wanted to work with her too! So when I saw she and Lila were doing a duo shoot I took the opportunity. We had a lot of pre shoot communication and I knew she was a friendly person before I met her.

This was my first duo shoot at The Barn Studio and both Fern and Lila made it easy to work with them. We had 4 hours booked but the time still flew by.

I would certainly work with Fern and Lila again, both as a duo and individually.

I'd definitely recommend Fern. This was our second shoot and she was patient while I was planning, with multiple delays in shipping one of the props that we required. Fern got even more engaged in the planning in the last week before the shoot as we were looking for a suitable location and as we finessed the style and look of the shoot. On the day, she took to the role and theme so easily. Completely natural. Didn't require direction, but was happy to take it when I wanted to take advantage of the changing light around us. It was a completely enjoyable shoot after months of planning.

Thirteen is an unlucky number for some, but this my thirteenth time shooting with Fern and I can honestly say I feel lucky to shoot with such an amazing person each time we work together. Her pre-communication was first class as always and she turned up ready to go with outfits that fitted the themes of the shoot to perfection. The way that Fern helps both myself and the other models during my shoots shows what a kind, supportive person she is. It is these qualities (and many more) that make her such fun to work with and makes the whole shooting process so easy. It's clear to anyone that sees Fern's work that she is a natural in front of the camera and she always strives to help you fashion the best possible images. She really is a star and I'd can't recommend her highly enough to any photographer or studio out there :)

I recently had a great second shoot with Fern at Studio 4. We combined both indoor and outdoor themes whilst shooting fashion and portraiture. Fern was very patient and we achieved some great results. She is very easy to get along with and happy to contribute her own ideas towards the success of the shoot. Definitely recommended. This was my first shoot with Fern, and I would absolutely shoot with her again!

We shot a combination of styles at my home and the time just flew. Fern has a lovely personality, is really easy to chat to and is a wonderful model. She had brought loads of outfits and had styled her hair and make up exactly as asked. I had asked her to bring a hat and she even went to the trouble of providing a link to an image of similar hat before the shoot.

Pre-shoot communications were excellent and everything was arranged really easily. Fern poses effortlessly, and I'm delighted with the images.

I would definitely recommend Fern and would love to work with her again.

Had a fabulous first shoot with Fern.

Fern is an absolutely lovely person, very friendly and chatty and we got on great right from the start.

She poses elegantly and fluidly without direction and worked very hard to make every image a success. She also made many suggestions for improvements and variations which added immensely to the shoot.

It was a most enjoyable and fun shoot and we got through an amazing amount and obtained some fantastic images.

Another remote session with Fern, and no surprise, Fern was brilliant as always. This shoot required Fern to work with a couple of potentially dangerous props and she handled the challenging assignment with aplomb. There appears to be no limits to Fern's ability. Perhaps this is the meaning of her small wrist tattoo?

If you haven't worked with Fern yet, I strongly recommend that you do. She's beyond exceptional. Anyone who has worked with Fern tends to re book her immediately, and like me, look forward to the next shoot.

I had the pleasure of working with Fern on a shoot organised by another photographer with the aim of getting me back behind the camera after a long period of of absence from shooting at all.

Well I have to say that this model was an absolute dream to work with, her modelling skills were second to none, together with an extremely pleasant personality she made the whole day so much fun and so productive.

I cannot thank her enough and i can only recommend her to any photographer of whatever skill level, she is an absolute must work with model.

I shot with Fern for a full day and we made some amazing images! She is organised, professional and her energy and personality shows in her written communication and we had the shoot arranged in no time at all.

Fern turned up right on time, with amazing hair and makeup and all the wardrobe we'd discussed!

On-set, Fern's posing ability is just astounding. She instantly got into the mood for each style of image we were producing - creating soft elegant poses for simple classic art-nudes and turning on the attitude for mode edgy shots interpreting the theme in ways I would not have dreamt of. Give her a prop and Fern will make the most of it!

Fern was totally committed to the shoot and worked hard all day. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Fern: her enthusiasm for the shoot, and engaging personality meant the time just flew by.

The results are amazing and I would absolutely recommend Fern 100%.

Had the pleasure of working with Fern today (Saturday, 5th of March), communications between us were to the point and with clarity. Fern arrived at the studio on time, brought with her an array of items to use, I did explain what I had in mind and she followed through, respected my opinion and in overall contributed 100% to the shoot, she is respectful, dedicated and experienced. There wasn't a dull moment during the shoot, she reviewed all images and the ones she wasn't happy with were deleted and we repeated the process. Fern is amazing human being and a pleasure working with her, Fern truly provides an enjoyable and professional environment to work. If you are looking for a reliable, punctual, experienced and confident model to work with, then I can honesty recommend her.

I have been looking at Fern Portfolio for a while now then she put up a casting that she was touring south wales and i jump at the chance to book her for the half day at The MadHouse Studio in Ebbw Vale we had a very creative time with changing of backgrounds and lighting setups which Fern was extremely patience well we setup the different scene and her makeup skills were prefit what i asked for and her modelling skills are 100% brillant i was one of my best for a while i would highly recommend her and looking forward to arranging another shoot very soon

Unique Beauty

We had a great shoot with FernnyyFern today.

She let us know yesterday that she was disappointed with the rented place, as it wasn’t as advertised, and suggested some alternative options. However, when we got there we found that her attitude and our combined creativity compensated for any limits in the space. Fern was very friendly, easy-going and happy to create any of the images we suggested, as well as tentatively suggesting some ideas of her own, which worked well. We really enjoyed the shoot and are happy with the images. Would totally recommend working with FernnyyFern.

I had a most enjoyable shoot with Fern today - despite the circumstances ...

Fern had arranged a tour in South Wales, but in Cardiff she was badly let down. The luxury 1 bedroom apartment she had rented turned out to be a cramped not very good quality studio. Nevertheless we persisted and despite the restrictions (in both space and opportunity for the type of shots) I came away with some great images. In addition to her beauty, Fern has a lovely personality. We chatted away so the 2 hours went too quickly. I cannot recommend Fern highly enough. I hope that it will be possible to arrange another shoot with her in the future - but hopefully in better surroundings!
