It was such an amazing experience to work and shoot with David in his studio in Birmingham. David arranged a very well organised workshop and all attendees were very friendly and pleasure to shoot with.

David’s pre-communication was on spot and he was very kind to arrange everything for my comfort and ensured I have everything necessary to enjoy our shoot so i certainly did it .

David was guiding us to the best shooting spot in a building so we did a mixture of studio sets and also used some amazing spots outside the studio so David has such a great photography vision.

I can say it was the most enjoyable workshop I had for ages as it was a very entertaining, enjoyable, friendly and creative event.

Many thanks David, I hope to have a chance to work with you again.

I had my first group shoot with David yesterday.

David is really lovely and welcoming - and a great photographer. He organised the group photoshoot really well - and the location of the shoot was really beautiful. Pre-comms before the shoot was also really good.

The other photographers at the shoot were also lovely - they were great at giving direction when needed & I felt comfortable throughout the shoot.

The shoot flew by really quickly as I had so much fun!! Thank you so much for inviting me David - I really hope to be apart of one of your shoots again!

David had arranged a shoot at a disused water Pumping Station...what a fantastic location for the shoot, great natural light and a great location, very atmosphere and full of interesting angles, oh..and the model, let's not forget her, a pleasure to work with, extremely talented...wait for the image's to be loaded..

I had an amazing group shoot organized by David for Stangetown Studio! The pre-communication was excellent; David organized everything very quickly and provided me with all the necessary information before the shoot. On the day of the shoot, he helped me find his place and met me near his studio. He also helped me with my heavy bag and introduced me to all the photographers. He was so friendly, easygoing, and fun!

Throughout the shoot, the atmosphere was very cool and dynamic! All the photographers were chatting with each other and having a great time! We were walking around the building, David found so many amazing locations there and set up great lighting so all the shots are very diverse and innovative! I felt welcomed and comfortable throughout the entire shoot. I was free to pose as I wanted, choose the outfits, and be creative! 🤩 Everyone had a lot of cool ideas, and they were free to make the shots they wanted. It was very interesting to me to experiment! The time flew by quickly, and we managed to create a lot of fabulous shots!

All the photographers and David were so friendly; I had a really great time, and I am very happy with the results! 🤩 David sent me some photos, and they look absolutely fab! Thank you so much for a great shoot, and I will be very happy to work with you again in the future 🥰

Had my first group shoot at Strangetown Studio, ran by David

Pre comms were great and the day ran really smoothly. David is a pleasure to work with, really polite and respectful and ensures that those booked onto his group shoots are the same. The studio itself is a really nice space, well equipped, and the changing room was really tidy and kept very warm (which is always appreciated!)

He also drove me back to the station (and when the traffic meant I missed my train, drove me onto my connecting station so I could still get home).

Highly recommended, I look forward to coming back :)

Attend a shoot arranged by David, using his studio and the office area. David had arranged the model , who was absolutely wonderful to work with. David is on hand to provide technical support and to suggest alternative poses that you don't always think of. Got some great images from the shoot.

Worked with David for the first time as he reached out to book me for his evening workshop at the Strangetown Studio that he runs.

Pre-comms were spot on, very easy to arrange the details of the shoot. David is very professional and does photography for a living, which you can see right from the get-go.

I was contacted by David about modelling for group shoots @ his studio - Strange Town.

Pre communications were fab, David was well organised and informative. I really enjoyed the group shoot, David has a great group of respectful, fun and creative photographers. Even though it was 30+ degrees we still had a wonderful shoot, got lot's of great images and I really enjoyed being a part of the event - the time flew by!

I'm really looking forward to returning to Strange Town next month for another event!

Recommend David and his studio to all :-)

On Sunday, June 26th 2022, I took part as a photographer at one of David's photography workshops. It was my first shoot of this type, and the organisation that David put into it was very thorough. The model, Tetiana was a great choice, she was very good, working with a fair few photographers on the day, whilst she and David came up with a lot of ideas for the shoot. Strangetown studio itself is also a great place to shoot in, with interesting industrial areas, and a big courtyard outside to use. I would highly recommend both David and the studio, and I will be back to do some more of his workshops in the future.

Shot a few times with David over the years and its always a lot of fun. Hes easy going and great with organising the workshops and models.

He gave me a lift to the location this time which was a great help and saved money. We had a nice catch up on the way.

He is just a genuinely nice guy. He takes great photos, always has plenty of ideas, great at directing and working with models to bring the best out in them.

We always have great locations and i was able to comfortably pose nude without passers by in a private location. He works well outdoors with the changing weather and lighting as well as occasionally indoors.

He looked after me and we stopped for little breaks and a drink when needed. Including sheltering from the rain.

Always a pleasure, highly recommended. Xx

David arranged a rural shoot at a fine location. The event worked well (in spite of the odd shower) and it was a useful shoot for gaining experience, networking and experimenting with image ideas. Being an experienced tutor in the craft he came across as happy to add a steer to the event to make sure everyone got the best from it.
