Having never gotten to see any of the Royals in my lifetime (Except Diana), i was especially mortified when Her Majesty died. This actual aircraft was selected to bring her majesty back from Aberdeen, and it was chosen for a number of logistical reasons, but also because if you look at the number on the side of the cockpit it reads 'Lizz'.
I was so glad to come close to a tangible link of a lady who served for many years, i have posted this photograph , taken 3 weeks ago, here.
