Introduction
My name is Chris and I'm a photographer based in North-West London. I have been interested in photography for approximately 8 years. During this time I have been fortunate to attend workshops and learn from brand ambassadors and professional photographers. These experiences have provided me with a solid understanding of the fundamentals of photography and managing light (both ambient and flash). I have started this PurplePort account to build up a personal portfolio of images and to establish my own style. 

 

My Current Style - 2024
My current style is more environmental portrait photography with contrast. I favour scenes that relate more of a story than studio shoots with plain backgrounds, and normally develop themes or concepts to help convey a message. I am currently shooting in monochrome, specifically black and white, with and without additional lighting. I am also looking into videography and to include behind-the-scenes for other platforms, as well as separate projects.

 

Work and Collaborations
I am looking to gain a portfolio of images in a variety of genres.  This will be predominantly in London; with models based or visiting London. I have work commitments outside of photography and therefore can only dedicate a certain amount of time to this pursuit. Therefore, my calendar will be kept up to date as best as I can. I look forward to working with some of the amazingly talented people on this site.
