Alongside Richard Brett i had my first shoot at the Dairy Barn with the crazy, but lovely Jody Sturman.

The Studio is absolutely fantastic with top of the range equipment; the range of lighting equipment is second to none with a great selection of backdrops etc. There is even a pool/snooker table on the mezzanine floor which can be used for shoots too.

Alan the owner is very welcoming, offering us food and drinks. Nothing is too much trouble for Alan and his knowledge of lighting is superb! He was always on hand to help out and was happy to do so.

The Studio has massive potential for a range of shots/styles and is just superb.

Will definitely be using this Studio again and it comes Highly Recommended.

I had my first shoot at The Dairy barn alongside Paul Spencer. Working with Jody Alan was very friendly and welcoming upon our arrival. He is a great host as well offering us both a drink. Alan was also extremely helpful with regards to lighting and changing the backdrop for us. I am definitely going to be working there again.

Visited the Dairy Barn for the first time, to shoot with Keelie Von Kaos on her studio day.

Really enjoyed working at the studio. It is in a really nice location and the barn itself is beautiful.

The studio is well kitted out with lots of lighting, softboxes, props and backdrops.

Alan was a great host, happy to help out with setting up lighting and equipment, and he was always on hand throughout to make sure Keelie and myself were well looked after.

Would highly recommend the studio and hope to return in the future :)

In all seriousness alan is a fantastic studio owner. He knows how to host well and is always on hand to help me and photographers booking the place get the image we want from our time.

I had a studio day and was incredibly comfortable, relaxed. Thoroughly enjoyed my time.

The place itself is majestic and possibly one of the best studio I have ever had the oppurtunity to work at and I have worked in plenty! Really amazing place

I had a recent shoot at The dairy barn for a studio duo day with my other half Ashley. Alan prepared us pizza and oh my god amazing muffins. Not only is it a fabulous studio but it has lovely cows outside which I could stroke and talk too! Alan has the most awesome studio in Beccles and it’s definitely one to visit! I can’t wait to go there again soon and create some more art. Thanks again Alan!

Recently had a shoot at the dairy barn studio. The place is amazing. So much space and so many ideas you can work with. Alan, is a really down to earth guy, easy to talk to and a brilliant host. He was always there to offer a hand, bring refeshments (homemade muffins)! just before we left Alan took a couple of portrait images as well and they were really good. His photography is brilliant as well. I highly recommend Alan and the studio and can’t wait to work together again

I have found what I am looking for in a studio near me at long last!.... SPACE and plenty of it. The beautiful Barn Studio run by Alan Lyall is a gem in the countryside. Set in a stunning thatched barn the spacious studio is fully equipped with the latest studio flash equipment including radio triggers that can adjust each flash from the top of the camera that make the flow of the photoshoot run like a breeze. I was greeted by Alan on arrival and offered a ice cool drink that was very welcome on a day that temperatures rose above 30 degrees c. Alan proceeded to show me around the studio and was on hand nearby throughout the shoot if I needed any help. I thoroughly recommend the Dairy Barn studio and I for one will be returning very shortly.

I was booked here by a local photographer Trev. As soon as I walked in my mind was buzzing with ideas, this place is beautiful and huge! its got so many lovely features like old beams, spiral staircase, wooden floors …. a swing! and loads more including a usual studio set up with plain backdrops for shooting studio style stuff. Studio owner is also lovely, offering coffes and refreshments. generally just a nice clean welcoming place to work. I would love to be booked there again because I still have ideas.

This was my first visit to The Dairy Barn Studio (a casting call with ElizabethJean). Alan met me on arrival and showed me into the huge barn. After a cup of tea and chocolate muffin, Alan showed me how the (very professional looking) lighting system worked. He offered a black or white paper background, I elected white. The barn was huge with lots of medieval architecture, a suitable topic for photos in it’s own right. Throughout the shoot Alan was available (helping when I messed up the lighting setup), but not intrusive. He acted as a friendly but professional host at all times. The studio is recommended.

Recently had a modelling studio day at The Dairy Barn Studio and it’s now my go to spot! Wonderful communication, organisation and execution of the studio day with Alan went better than I expected. A sold out studio day and wonderful marketing skills on the part of Alan. He is also now what I refer to as the “muffin man” as he is a wonderful host making his 😋 delish muffins and making sure he had a lovey lunch selection for my lunch break.

He has a wonderful and versatile studio, private changing/bathroom with good mirrors.

The studio is equipped with fab props,backdrops and props. Alan helps set up and assist with lighting and does a great job.

My studio day at Dairy Barn Studio was five star!

My first time photographing at The Dairy Barn Studio with Scarlet Monroe and her resident Hair/MUA Amy Bidwell, both with whom I've collaborated many times during the past 3 years. Scarlet is a wonderful curvy model, with a wicked sense of humour, as does Amy and her fantastic MU skills.

On arrival, I received a warm welcome from owner Alan, plus a cup of tea and chocolate muffin as soon as walked through the door - great hospitality.

Despite this beautiful barn being Alan's home, it is well fitted out with lights, soft boxes, props and backdrops, plus plenty of internal locations that Alan is happy to be used - a spiral staircase leads up to the games room with snooker table and a lovely window for natural light work. At the other end of the barn is a wooden stairway with a small balcony leading to his bedroom. There is also a large bookcase that could be used as a library shot, and a gorgeous 2 seat sofa in a slate floor alcove.

Alan is on hand throughout to assist with setting up lights and backdrops, and I was lucky to have booked the lunchtime slot, as he very generously provided pizza, olives and a drink! More top hospitality!

This is a great location with excellent facilities for both models and photographers, and Alan pays particular attention to their needs without being intrusive.

I really enjoyed my time here, and we produced some fabulous images, so I thoroughly 100% recommend the Dairy Barn for both new and experienced models/photographers - I just wish it was closer to my home! Many thanks Alan, and I hope to return before too long : )

Joined a recent model day at the studio. Excellent facilities in a wonderful space! Alan is very helpful at need but also happy to sit back and let you crack on. Excellent communication beforehand too, which always makes the session that much easier. Will certainly aim to use again!

Had my first shoot today at Dairy barn studio - it’s an amazing set up and you can capture so many shots shooting in such a beautiful place! If you ever need a studio to hire for the day this is the one! I will be coming back and shooting at this studio again in May.
