I had the pleasure of working with James on a photoshoot at the Granary Studio. The shoot lasted four hours, and we focused on creating a series of moody, black and white photographs.

James was fantastic to collaborate with. There was a great sense of mutual understanding regarding the desired vibe for the shoot, which made the process smooth and efficient. The final photos turned out beautifully, exceeding expectations.

Beyond his technical skill, James was a joy to work with. He created a comfortable and positive atmosphere on set, which is essential for capturing genuine expression in photographs. James also took the time to show me the photos in progress, which helped build confidence and excitement for the final results.

I would highly recommend James to anyone looking for a talented photographer who can create stunning images in a collaborative and enjoyable environment. I would love to work with him again in the future.😁✨

WOW.. WOW.. WOW!!

9 years ago I first worked with James alongside Artemis at her home studio and we had such an insane shoot.

Over the years since we have worked together at least a few times and genuinely I can hand on heart say each time it has gotten BETTER and BETTER.

I always had James down as one of the best, the nicest, the most thoughtful and kindest gentlemen around.

He is always so full of creative ideas, punctual with pre-shoot communication, clearly stating his wonderful ideas and is happy to provide a deposit and book anything if needed ie studio/hotel etc.

This shoot we had just last weekend was at a wonderful hotel in Salisbury called Milton Hall Hotel. It was a rather last min shoot as I messaged James to say I was in the area. We discussed in a few emails what we were feeling and it became evident we were on the SAME PAGE and then some.

We share very much similar views and passions around conveying a message through photography, something that James is excellent at capturing and portraying.

This shoot was on a theme very close to my heart around 'Body-Image'. It is safe to say that it was very touching for me, I felt vulnerable but in a very safe way and that means something. If I can be vulnerable with someone I know they are the right person to be working with.

I am truly in awe and so grateful for the shoot we just had and I can't wait to share to results. I can wholeheartedly recommend James to any other model without hesitation.

Really great first shoot with calm nudes. Pre communication was great and we were going for an at home chilling kind of look. I loved the images on the back of the camera from the get go and knew we were going to have a great shoot. The time flew by as it always does but we have another shoot booked in later in the year. I am really looking forward to working with James again and would definitely recommend him to anyone.

James booked onto a duo event created by Kempston studios in Bedford.

Shooting myself and Antonia Jay.

James was the highlight of our weekend and created some of the most beautiful images. His shots were very "real" and "genuine" and set the mood of "sensuality" and "casuality, just two females enjoying the company of one another.

It is refreshing to see someone create images in this style and i really hope James enjoyed the shoot as much as myself and Antonia did.

I am looking forward to seeing the images and would love to shoot with James again !!

Wow, what can I say about? Tonnes, absolutely loads. First of all, his pre shoot communications are magnificent! They're well thought out, properly planned and then well executed. To further show case James' phenomenal pre shoot communications, he was absolutely fantastic with me when the evening before our shoot I had a family emergency, which thankfully resolved itself, allowing our shoot to go ahead, albeit at a more delayed time than first planned. This just goes to show how professional James is.

Moving on to the shoot itself, he arrived on time and ready to go. After a quick catch up about what had occurred the evening before we jumped straight into the shoot, making our way through multiple sets and capturing absolutely stunning images.

I can't praise James' professional enough - he was an absolute gentleman throughout the shoot, and made sure I was comfortable at all times.

It's also very clear he knows what he's doing with photography, utilising natural light throughout the shoot, to really capture the vibe and mood. He'd brought along a test camera with him to see if it was something he'd like to buy in the future - and even though it was new to him, he absolutely sailed through it.

I'm so happy with the images and what we captured looked truly stunning on the back of the laptop.

Thankyou so much for a wonderful shoot. I would 1 million percent recommend James!

Worked with CalmNudes for the first time at my recent studio day at West Surrey Studio, we worked with just one light as the sun disappeared and got some very interesting shots. The time flew by and we both chatted and worked throughout the short amount of time that we had which worked really well and I really loved seeing some of the photos so I'm very excited to see the final results!!

A great guy, a good laugh to chat and banter too haha and I very much look forward to working together more next year hopefully.

James booked myself and Nicky (Mr NPR) to join him at an open day at Burford Manor. Our plan, a continuation of our last duo and some elegance along the way.

As before the three of us work incredibly well together with lots of laughs and innuendo.

I had the distinct pleasure of being booked by James for the second time over at the burford manor working again as a duo with elodie rose.

As previously it was a ultimate pleasure to shoot with this talented and vibrant gentleman.

He works under a no pressure flow and allows you the model to adapt his thoughts and ideas if you feel fit to do so by adding your idea into his.

He has a strong passion for shooting and it shows in and on the back of the camera when he talks to you about the angles and lighting and shadowing he wants to utilise.

So so recommend to everyone in the industry.

It was epic and I hope that we can do it again :)

Calm Nudes booked onto a duo shoot that I was doing whilst on my London/south tour with Feraline.

He arrived with much enthusiasm and ideas, working creatively to use the beautiful setting of Feraline’s grandmother’s cosy cottage setting. Seeing the back of camera, I was delighted by the images, but already knew they’d be fantastic from the gorgeous imagery on his profile.

Since our shoot, I’ve seen many beautiful shots that he captured of Feraline and I, and I’m so happy with the results. I was very happy with the shoot and really enjoyed creating with him.

James responded to my casting call for a duo shoot with the brilliant Kelsey Wolfe during our time in London and it was a pleasure to work with him!

Pre-comms were polite, friendly and concise and with some rapport established beforehand and a rough idea of creative direction I knew it was going to be a delightful evening.

He arrived promptly (even early!) and as I went to meet him from the station and we got chatting, it became apparent that he was a joyful and lovely soul who would be great to work with.

We headed to my grandmothers house to meet Kelsey and after a brief chat to get to know each other, we began shooting with some gorgeously emotive imagery. James directed us into his visions of tender vulnerability and with myself and Kelsey throwing ourselves into his ideas it all worked rather beautifully, and immediately produced some gorgeous results!

Two hours flew by and everything we saw on the back of the camera was just stunning. I'm dead excited to view it all properly and James was a delight to work with, bringing forth a lovely relaxed environment to shoot in and with wonderful photographic talents and visions the results have just been awesome.

It was such a delight to work with James again after several years; this time at Fareham Studio for a half day. We had a rough idea of what we wanted to achieve but left plenty of room for experimentation, which is such a nice way to work. We started with some no make-up portraits in the boudoir set, with James utilising the natural light beautifully. Next up we switched to a burlesque/fetish-y look and James was so patient while I applied a more elaborate make-up/corset styling. We achieved so much during the shoot but had plenty of time for coffee and laughter between sets. I found James to be very kind, professional and genuine - a delight to work with from start to finish. I really hope it's not another 5+ years before our next shoot and happily recommend him to everyone.

It was such fun working with James , he is such a lovely guy and I felt that we got on so well together, there was definitely a creative connection there. He is extremely talented at photography and his ideas and creativity was so inspiring to me. I was absolutely thrilled that he came on my studio day at fine and Dandee and I thought the back of camera shots looked amazing. James is a lovely person easy to get along with, and an amazing photographer too what’s not to like? He comes highly recommended by me and I really hope I get the chance to work with him again.

This was my second shoot with the fabulous CalmNudes this time at the most stunning hotel in Cambridge

James had booked two other amazing models to work with so the shoot was a tale of two halves.

Firstly I was joined by the one and only Mr NPR who took on the role of voyeur (man lerking in dark corners), office boss and of course Dom.

Secondly I had another opportunity to work with Magdalene Rose Child. James brought out our playful and sensual sides which has made for beautiful images.

I would thoroughly recommend working with James. You will not be disappointed.

It had been some time since we last shot and so I was looking forward to shooting with James again, this time we planned to shoot part duo with Elodie Rose at a stunning suite in Cambridge and then part of the solo with myself.

Wow... I am still in awe of that shoot, the space, the energy, what we created together both with Elodie and also with myself.

The location lent itself to some voyeuristic styles we captured and James has a natural ability and flare for shooting something with an edge. I feel he has his own unique style which can very much be felt in the images.

He is a lovely person, easy to talk to, comfortable to be around, very friendly and respectful and I fully can recommend him to other creatives.

So today was my first time working with Calm nudes at a wonderful hotel on a duo shoot which has dominant and sinister tones which worked so well for this shoot.

This was my first shoot with James and what an amazing first shoot we had!! 👌🏼

Pre comms were spot on. I knew exactly what to get ready for the day and what we would aim to achieve.

On arrival James and I instantly got along. He’s such a gentleman and really easy to get along with. We soon got to work and after the first few shots, James showed me the boc and I was sooooo pleased with what he had captured. So beautiful. From there the shoot went from strength to strength. We totally bounced off each other and got really creative with the natural light; which I love!! By the end of the shoot I was buzzing at what we had captured. The shoot was absolutely fabulous!!

Thank you James for an amazing first shoot!
