Yay!!! Finally after many years of talking and loving each others work and getting worried it may never happen, it happened :D We finally got the chance to work together and it was better than I could have planned, imagined or dream! The weather was perfect, soft winter light with a hint of wind, not too cold and the perfect locations picked by Simon, Hallelujah!

We shot for 3 hours in the morning and if I hadn't had another booking we could have easily extended. Simon is friendly, kind and good to be around, conversation flowed easily and we were on the same creative wavelength, our time went too fast. Good job, I am already planning my next trip and looking forward to revisiting Scotland to work together again, if he will put up with me :)

Thank you for being patient and waiting for me to tour again, I am so glad we finally got to work together :)

Simon came along to the Scottish Castle event, organised by Candy Heart, and it was lovely to see him! It's been years since we last shot in Scotland together, so it was a pleasure to catch up and get some awesome images in the turret of the castle. We got some beautiful natural light lingerie and nude portraits in, despite the weather being rather horrid and grey.

Simon is very chilled, friendly, enthusiastic and great to work with, would highly recommend him to all models!

I always love working with simon! Worked with him briefly on the fantastic Castle Gothic themed shoot run by "candy heart" for an hours slot.

He was patient and easy going as always, has a great understanding of light and composition.

Can't wait to see his final results of the event! He made great use of the space around and achieved a lot of results in the short time.

And can't wait to shoot with him again next time I'm in Scotland!

Wonderful shoot today!

Such a laid back, lovely person and made me feel so at ease. I was really excited about this shoot and rightly so! Communication beforehand was great. Knew what to expect but was better than expected. Saskia did my makeup as it was a bit more difficult than every day shoots. She did really well, if was a pictish warrior theme, I loved it. The costume was provided and looked great along with the makeup and helped me get straight into character. We shot inside at his studio house and then out door on a near by location in Cupar.

It was relaxed but also he is very professional. It all came together so well and felt great. Was lot of fun and would 100% work with him again and recommend this awsome photographer!

Worked with Simon on a last min shoot in a derelict building. It was fantastic! He had lots of ideas and outfits/props to work with. He totally respects your privacy when getting changed etc. Such a gent and very easy to work with. The BOC images looked amazing considering no equipment was used other than cam...all natural light :)

Simon booked me during a recent duo day with Heather May Corvid at Synergy Studio near Edinburgh, and despite only having an hour together, we captured some really gorgeous painterly images that I look forward to seeing edited. It only took us 7 years+ to sort that shoot...But we finally managed it!! Haha.

We had stunning weather, we paddled in the river, shot in the forest, found a ruined stone gate, climbed over a fence to get into a golden field...We fitted a LOT into four hours considering we didn't really have a plan! Just goes to show...

Great to finally meet and work with Simon, it was a super lovely shoot!

Absolutely loved meeting and shooting with Simon!

We've been wanted to work together for a while and it was definitely worth the wait.

Simon is such a lovely person to work with, very talented, creative and imaginative!

We managed to produce some lovely pictures from his derelict location and create very artistic images. I am quite amazed by what I've seen from the back of the camera. I think Simon works very well with natural light.

Simon also owns a wide range of different props and outfits of all sorts, perfect to match his abandoned backgrounds and create epic pictures... and pre-shoot communication was spot on!

Friendly, professional and talented, I can't recommend him enough and would be more than happy to work with him again!

Scarlot Rose

I had another great shoot with Calandra yesterday, we were super lucky with the weather and after two days of storms we ended up with a warm day of sun on our shoot day but also with some atmospheric clouds to add to the images!

We shot around Montrose and just along one long walk we came across so many amazing and varied locations! We shot in the empty door and window frames of a derelict cottage, in an eerie attic space of an abandoned building, in caves, amongst rocks, on driftwood on the beach and in a meadow of flowers! So so much variety for just one shoot! We also shot a variety of art nude and fashion styles throughout the shoot.

A really productive and enjoyable morning shooting and I look forward to seeing the results!

it was my second time working with simon and this time was even better than last time. He booked me as part of my recent tour to Scotland. We got on so so well last time I knew that this time would be no different. He is a really friendly, polite and laid back guy. Really just enjoys taking images as much as I do and cares about what he is shooting. This time he took me to an abandoned house which he has access too. It was one of the most lovely places ive ever shot because I love abandoned buildings. They make for a lovely back drop especially for nude work. He had this Aladdin's cave of accessories, clothes, shoes, props, chairs, flowers and everything you could dream of in a room in the building. So naturally I was like a kid in a candy shop digging through all this stuff to put a few looks together. The images we made together I think are some of the best ive done this year for sure. I would recommend working with calandra for sure and I will be doing so myself if he will have me haha. Thanks a lot for a great shoot.
