There She Glows

I had the privilage of working with John for the first time yesterday and found him incredibly humble and polite (a rarity in these parts). He was extremely professional, respectful and eager to learn more about all aspects of a studio team and how each person (owners/models/muas) can help him create his desired effect/look. He took an interest in my work and was open to suggestion throughout. He clearly has a passion for photography and the process behind creating an image. He is firmly in my list of good and respectful photographers and I would love the chance to work with him more.

An absolute pleasure it has been meeting Jon for our first shoot together at Shadow Studio!

He is eager to learn, with a professional positive attitude, gratitude and sense of humour.

Our shoot just seemed to fly by and Jon was patient while I was exchanging makeup looks. He is clear with direction and I know he will gain more confidence in this, he is very polite and a gentleman.

Had another fantastic shoot with Jon today, this time at a totally different location to our usual urbex hunts, and it did not disappoint. Jon's pre-comms were great, as per usual. He was patient with me even when my train was delayed and was ready to meet me when I got off my train to drive us to the location.

He came prepared with biscuits and water, which are always appreciated on longer shoots, and was totally okay with me whacking sun-cream on when we got to the shoot. He's great to shoot with as he would not make you walk / climb on anything without checking that it's safe to do so first (this definitely shows you're in good hands). You can tell that he is passionate about what he shoots and he's just a really genuine and lovely guy, I had a fabulous time working with Jon today & would definitely recommend him to any models 100%

P.S. I'm glad you're happy with the images & I hope to work with you again in the near future!

I'm new to the whole modelling scene but Jon made me feel so comfortable and made me laugh :) we talked about so much and had a couple of challenges like a truck and lots of people.. Couldn't recommend a better person 👍👍👍

After few months finally had change to shoot with John again!

John booked me for 4h shoot at mines. He turned up on time ,very positive about our second shoot.

Pre communication was great John send me lots of ideas Which he would like to achive.

John made me feel very comfortable ,he was very easy going and chatty.

I saw pictures at the back of camera and I can't wait to see them after editing!

Jon is always a great photographer to work with, he not only makes the shoot fun bit he will always make sure you feel comfortable and happy with anything that you are doing:) if your lucky he might even have some biscuits spare :)

This was my first hotel shoot with Jon and I must say even though we had to you the god forbidden flash the picture came out great

I would definitely recommend Jon to any model no matter the experience or level 😊

Had another shoot organised today with Jon for an urbex location in Wales, which we had been planning for a while. The thing about urbex is that you cannot guarantee anything - good weather, access to the area, or that the site will even be there once you arrive. Frustratingly, we drove all the way there on a super hot day, enduring traffic (I don't mind travelling in the car, I love a good drive), and Jon had bought a couple of outfits and gear for the shoot.

He had planned this meticulously for months, which is why it was so frustrating... We arrived and were greeted by a very stubborn security man who said we couldn't go inside the building, only take some photos of the outside.

We made do with what we had, and thankfully I'd also been allowed to bring my camera so I got some shots of the building as well as posing for a couple of exterior shots (under the watchful eye of the security man). Although disappointing, Jon didn't let it dampen the spirits and I think we still had a good adventure. It's sad, though, as I can see that the location had a lot of potential.

Big thank you to Jon for taking me there, putting up with all of my chatter in the car, buying me a sandwich at the services, and doing his best to negotiate with the man.

I can't wait to work with you again and I appreciate how much work you put into this shoot, even if we couldn't pull it off this time.

Had my first shoot with Jon today, and what a shoot it was. I absolutely adore urbex anyway, so today was a dream for me - urbex AND shooting! Jon made sure he did everything the safe way, his pre comms were amazing, and he was very enthusiastic about the shoot, which always makes me feel good about a shoot - he arrived on time and was patient even when we had some hiccups in finding locations (plan a didn't exist any more)! He brought water and snacks, and always made sure I was comfortable, as well as checking every part of the location was safe before allowing me to enter.

I had a brilliant time, he showed me shots on the back of the camera so I could see what I looked like and what was going on.

I 100% wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to any model, I reckon it was one of my favourite shoots to date - thank you for being so patient and fabulous, and I cannot wait to see the photos!

Had my first shoot with Jon on a very cold, almost frosty Sunday morning. Meeting someone new is always a little nerve racking. Jon immediately put me at ease, his communication from the start has been superb! He is very much a gentleman, even offered his coat while on location!

Jon had fantastic ideas and got my creativity flowing. We both had ideas of what we wanted to achieve and I feel we nailed it.

Jon sent me the proofs the same day which was a surprise as I figured it would be at least a week. I was blown away by the proofs. He is very passionate about photography & it shows. Checking everything from framing, composition, lighting and background. I was very impressed with Jon's professionalism, photography and lighting skills. I highly recommend Jon and hope to work with him again in the near future.

I had my first shoot with Jon this weekend at a brilliant location.

Jon made me feel very safe and at ease, checking if I was comfortable and happy throughout the entire shoot.

Jon was very encouraging about any ideas that I had and we worked well together to produce some fantastic images.

The edits Jon did were beautiful and he sent half of them to me the same day of the shoot!!!

I think Jon is a great photographer and I hope to work with him again in the near future!

Had a shoot with jon today we only had a hour to work with , I am very happy with the outcome , Jon was very creative with his work and was very nice and made me feel comfortable. We tried different ideas and made every click of the camera count , I would highly recommend Jon to any model!.

So... now this Chap does not like studio environments... but Jon has used the studio twice so far... and both times he's had a blast and created so really cool images - using the mix of natural light and studio equipment.

Jon is a great customer - carful with the equipment / props and is the perfect gentleman with the models.

I look forward to when Jon books again ...oh there is an email now....

On Saturday I had my first shooting with Jon and I am really satisfied about the results that we achieved.

He was punctual and really kind picking me up and taking me back home, we spent two hours in the Matchbox Studio in Gloucester and they were relaxed and really productive.

I strongly recommend working with him as he is really professional, he gave me some advices about safety and made me feel comfortable during the whole time that we spent together.

He also listened to my ideas and helped me realising them.

I hope to work again with him soon :)

Had my first shoot with john today. He is a fantastic guy with serious love and enthusiasm for photography. He is extremely keen to get the best possible image he can. He understands the importance of light and loves using natural light in his work. He is a very nice person, friendly understands the importance of the model feeling safe when shooting with him. He expressed a number of times how it's exceptable to bring a chaperone if I would like. I didn't feel the need in any way. He made me laugh on many occasions and I thoroughly enjoyed creating themed images with him. We shared love for many different themed ideas and I can't wait to shoot with him again to make these images. John was happy to meet me prior to shoot where we share ideas over a drink. Lovely guy. One of the best TFP's I have had. Work with this guy!!!

He is an amazing photographer with great ideas and he captured everything I wonted to achieve in the pictures
