I recently attended a" lighting for portraits" workshop that Darren was presenting at the fantastic Inspire Studios in Salisbury.

Darren has a comprehensive knowledge of lighting and its effects, he also explained the different set ups extremely well to the attending photographers.

Darren has a sound knowledge of photography in general, which is reflected in his portfolio, and helped with " in camera" settings too which immediately improved my success rate

I would recommend Darren as a photographer or an instructor to anyone wanting to improve there skills.

Darren presented two shoots at Inspire Studio's on Sunday. He has great technical and artistic knowledge, and is a pretty laid back dude. He made sure that everyone felt they could ask questions which when answered were delivered exactly at the right level for all those attending.

For me, the highlight of the day was Darren suggesting using 9 point rather than single point focusing in order to get more shots of eyes in focus. This worked a treat and all of my images taken with this setup produced 100% accuracy!

For anyone who has not been to Inspire Studios yet, you are missing a trick. This has to be one of the most spacious and well equipped studios around. The facilities and Darren's hosting of this event were first class. I would certainly recommend Darren to anyone. I know I will be on one of his hosted shoots in the future. Thanks Darren for your efforts, they were much appreciated by me and all the other great people who attended. Cheers.

On Monday I shot with Darren for the first time and had a great shoot!

Pre shoot comms were fantastic and organisation/mood boards were great. Darren kindly met me at the station and then we headed to the studio.

Darren was super friendly, chatty and I instantly felt relaxed because of that. I felt a real positive energy, enthusiasm and general good vibes. The shoot was relaxed, perfectly paced and very productive!

He is extremely knowledgeable about photography and we had some great discussions. The 5 hours shooting absolutely flew by. I really enjoyed working with him :)

Highly recommended and I hope another shoot isn’t too far away!

I attended a Beauty and Head Shot workshop with Darren at Inspire Studios. It was a fantastic day. We explored several sets, different backgrounds and various lighting options that created some great images on the day. Amalia was our superb model for the day. Darren is always positive and helpful if you have any questions. A great day was had by all.

I was really looking forward to my shoot with Darren for a while and he definitely did not disappoint! He had great communication and creative ideas leading up to the shoot and on the day he made me feel very comfortable in the studio.

He is very funny, friendly and professional; and I had a great time with him behind the scenes while we worked to get the images we both wanted. He knows his stuff when it comes to lighting and it was super interesting to learn how it all works from a photographers perspective.

He gave great direction and the shoot was very fun and relaxed. We got some awesome images!

I would highly recommend Darren and I look forward to working with him again!

This is my second shoot with Darren and he never fails to produce a great shoot, with creative ideas and a lovely atmosphere. I was happily satisfied with our first shoot and wanted another to try different kinds of shots. He suggested a long session to give me a complete portfolio update. We spent up to 8 hours creating great moments with lots of different looks and set ups using his studio. I honestly had the best time and would highly recommend him for many different types of looks. I’m hoping he’ll want to work with me again as much as I do him!

Wow wow wow wow! What a fantastic shoot with Darren! It's so great when you meet somebody and you connect on such a creative level! We were bouncing ideas off each other and have produced some absolutely gorgeous imagery- not one set looks the same! Not only did Darren and I get some fabulous pictures, we also had a great rock out sesh too 🤘🏻

Darren's comms were spot on and the turn over from the pictures was really quick too! I'm very happy and would recommend this kind, funny gentleman in a heart beat:)

Well what can I say.... Darren is the coolest of characters!!

Darren came along last weekend at a creative beauty weekend I was doing at Inspire studios with MUA Beautywithin, not as a photographer but as a videographer!!! How bl**dy cool!! The fact he gave up most of his weekend to come and take some behind the scenes footage sums up what a lovely guy he is. It was an absolute pleasure having him around and he is a great laugh. A very genuine guy with a huge amount of talent. I cant wait to see the results and hope to have the pleasure of working with him again soon. Thank you for everything you gem!!

Went to lovely studio in saisbury with this man, he's a brilliant photographer and is great with angles and getting the exact shot we both were aiming towards!

Lovely down to earth man, made me feel very comfterable and very respectful.

We got so many amazing images and has edited as many as I wanted, plus he gets them back to you really quick!

Was lovely working with Darren for the first time For a few shots , Darren was originally meant to be the lighting guy for the day but unfortunately the makeup artist had to cancel so he jumped in for a mini shoot due to having some time to do so , was a good laugh and we got some great shots aswell as Darren creating some fab lighting for our other photographerat inspirestudios

My second shoot with Darren today and it just gets better. Darren is very easy going and super knowledgeable with his lighting. He made me feel relaxed and we have yet again created some amazing images. He also filmed some behind the scenes and poses which is awesome. Darren is a dude and I highly recommend him to all models. I worked with Darren on a shoot at inspire studios recently with Amie-jayne Bolton.

Well what can I say he's great we sent our images of for publication and it made a 6 page spread and also the front cover.

Very talented, very easy to work with and I hope we do again. He's just fantastic I would 100% recommend Darren definitely someone to work with, your missing out if you don't 😊
