I came along to barneys studio hangleton lane for my studio day During my huge one month south coast tour. Whilst I was there we got the opportunity to shoot with each other. It was only for a short amount of time yet we still managed to take a lot of really nice images. You can tell that he is experienced because when he is giving you direction its clear and not confusing haha. The images on BOC where stunning and I would recommend working with him to anyone. Im sure I will be back soon myself. Thanks for looking after me …. bobbi

My first time shooting with Barney was for a German knitwear catalogue. He kindly picked me up and dropped me off at the nearest station, and was an excellent host. Barney clearly knows how to work his camera and his lighting to achieve a client's desired effects. We got through quite a few outfits, warm and snuggly stuff, but the shoot did not feel rushed. I was chuffed that Barney chose me, and for his kind comments throughout the shoot on my abilities as a model.

Thanks Barney! Hope to work together again on another project.

Shot with Barney for the first time yesterday. Pre comms were great and the shoot was very well organised. Despite horrendous train delays causing us to start late, Barney was patient and used the time to set up the studio so we could start straight away. Really nice guy, easy to work with and I would happily work with him again, comes highly recommended from me :)

I have known Barney for some time, including working at his studio, Hangleton Lane in Sussex and at his legendary and brilliantly organised Charity Group Shoots

The best adjectives to use for him are professional, knowledgeable, charming, caring and good-fun

I worked with him using his studio's new Digital Projected Background system - you can now bring some background picture files (or use one of Barney's stock of royalty paid ones as I did) and shoot a model against it using studio flash for an instant tone & colour-balanced composite image.

Barney's advice is priceless in itself as I learned a lot from him in the two hours I was there.

Particularly impressive was the way I saw him interact with a brand new model - he was at all times proper, courteous and respectful. His obvious gravitas and ability to gently tutor her was such that she was totally relaxed and able to be photographed at her very best - what more can a model and photographer want?

I can thus highly recommend working with Barney to photographers and models of any level, and look forward to working with him again soon.

I shot with Barney a number of years back, and - from start to finish - it was a really joyful experience!

Barney is a really nice guy, and - clearly - a very competent photographer. He had some great concepts and ideas for the work on the day, and we achieved some great images as a result.

Had an amazing shoot with Barney yesterday! Communication was brilliant. Made to feel very comfortable- a good cuppa was supplied at all times! The shoot flowed very well and there was never an awkward silence. The photos produced are amazing and can't wait to see the final edits. Highly recommended!

This was my first shoot with Barney and I will defiantly be shooting with him again!

There was good pre coms and he was kind enough to allow my partner to be in the studio while we shot!

We worked really well together and this allowed the shoot to go smoothly, be really officiant and fun. We got around 6 sets which is amazing!

I loved so many of the images, he is a lovely guy to work with!

We had no communication before the shoot as everything was organised by Abi. I could not attend the shoot due to work commitments however gave Abi a note for Barney.

The full range of chosen images are stunning and very professional.

Highly recommend this photographer and would love to work with him again!

I thoroughly enjoyed my Shoot with Barney marking 10yrs since my end of School Prom.

He was already there and waiting at the studio when I arrived and was open to my ideas and what I wanted to achieve. From there Barney was excellent at giving me directions and little tips along the way, we even got to play with his Virtual Reality Background System which is fabulous!

Worked with Barney yesterday on a Suicide Girl shoot.

We had a very testing shoot due to many visitors in the shoot vacinity due to the location. At one point we thought that we may have to abort. Barney very calmly helped resolve the matter and we managed to progress onto a great shoot with some amazing images.

Pre-coms were good. I’d recommend Barney for his wealth of knowledge and ability to get great shots under testing conditions.

Pre-comms were very organised and I was able to get a good idea on the style of shoot/what outfits i needed to bring.
