References for Barlow studios

I was welcomed in to Barlow studio by George and offered a cup of tea right away :) The studio is larger than it looked on the pictures and has many different sets to shoot on with lots of props and equipment to use. Great studio and somewhere I will be wanting to shoot at again in the future.

I had my first visit to Barlow studio and was very impressed by the space, the various and interesting shooting areas all spacious, plenty of lights / modifiers, absolutely all you need to add your own creativity.

George was very welcoming and offered any assistance needed, as an experienced professional photographer and former studio owner myself that was not needed but it would have been great for anyone who may be daunted by the studio environment.

So it’s very easy to recommend Barlow studios to any photographers of any level. I myself definitely will be returning.

I have just had another shoot at this fabulous studio , heighly recomended , asistance and help no problem , George is the perfect studio owner , wonderful lights and plenty of sets , and George makes the perfect cup of tea ,

I was lucky enough to get invited to Barlow Studios for a photography group shoot.

The space, the equipment and the all round feel of the place is amazing, 10/10. The owner is also lovely, made me feel comfortable throughout and we have also made future plans.

Well what can I say Iv shot a barlow studio a lot of time now george is lovely guy always make me feel welcome to be fair I shoot there a lot now , very nice studio with lots of sets to choose from he make you feel very welcome I’d recommended the studio , George always helps me with my bags and always make sure I have plenty to drink a generally nice guy 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Shot for the first time at Barlow studios yesterday and after 5 minutes i felt like i had worked there thousands of times before !

The studio has everything you will ever need, and the equipment is of the highest quality!

George is a class act and one of the most welcoming guys you will ever meet!

I am certain i will be shooting there A LOT more in the future !!

I Had amazing studio weekend at Barlow studio!

George and Kate were lovely! They provided room ,dinner ,Pick up ,drop off and the most important great atmosfere!

Studio is very big ,has lots of diffrent sets and first Class equipment.

the studio was warm and clean, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it or to work there again myself!

Today was my first shoot with KateAnne! What a lovely person! I had been away from home for 9 days and am going away again for 21 days, so I was desperate to shoot! Kate’s striking figure caught my eye., and we set up a shoot, unfortunately a clash in the diary meant we had to rearrange, but we managed to fit in the shoot at Kates’ local Studio. I am so pleased that we did!

The studio had plenty of area to shoot with some natural light and some niche areas including a natural stone wall and a wet area.

Goerge made the tea, and set up the lights for me in three different areas, and then left me alone to shoot the loverly Kate

We shot fashion outside, and progressed through lingerie and finish with a shower shoot.

Kate was a delight throughout, chatty, cheerful, and helpful we got some stunning images.

Highly recommended Thank you Kate and Goerge.

I had the best 2 days at Barlow studio this week! 2 sold out studio days and a successful group shoot in the evening that I stood in for last min! Im so glad I did stay as it was good fun and relaxed.

Everyone that shot me over the 2 days were lovely and easy to chat with and work with. Im really excited to see images!

Thanks so much to George and Kate for being so lovely and amazing! They gave me a bed to rest my head and George is a star with organising the days!

I had my first shoot at Barlow today. I was looking for a studio in the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire area for a shoot with a model that I have worked with on several previous occasions. I wanted a studio that was well equipped and offered a range of different sets with which we could work to generate images somewhat different to those we had captured in the past. Barlow studio certainly did not disappoint. A great range of studio lights and reflectors were available and the studio contains an array of natural textured backdrops together with a large infinity cove. Pre-shoot communication was excellent and George was an excellent host on the day. We both thoroughly enjoyed our shoot and had an excellent time in a very convivial atmosphere. Highly Recommended.

Thanks to George for another wonderful shoot. He made everyone welcome and set up lights and backgrounds throughout the day. At one point, my camera did not fire the studio flash. George searched the Internet for possible solutions and eventually made the camera work properly, Jeffrey

It was a great and pleasing experience to work at Barlow Studios last week.

George, the owner, was most welcoming with coffee on arrival and a helpful guide of the studio, its lighting, sets and facilities, George remained on hand in his office for further coffee and any further technical advice, if needed. The Studio was warm, clean and tidy, with an interesting and varied number of sets. The sets offered many creative opportunites, which combined with the excellent lighting equipment made for a top class studio, and one which I plan to visit again in the very near future. Highly recommended. Thank you George for such a lovely studio and such a memorable day.

I enjoyed hosting my very first studio day at Barlow photographic studio at the end of March with George and Kate doing some solo shoots and a duo with Kate. A fun, safe, vibrant and well located studio, it was a pleasure to host my very first studio day there and I loved working alongside George and Kate.

George is such a lovely person, respectful, a complete gentleman and his communications leading up to our studio day were was spot on, he is so organised even helping me promote our day very well. The studio is absolutely fantastic, with a variety of backdrops, lighting, a few different set ups and lots of props. There is also good toilet facilities, a waiting room, dressing room for the models and a kitchen to make a good cuppy, in fact George and Kate were great at keeping me in plenty of tea/coffee between sessions. The studio in general has a very nice relaxed vibe and was nice and warm too. George is great at time keeping also and kept the photographers on there toes letting us know 15 minutes before our time was up.

George was not able to pick me up at the train station due to his car but he did arrange for his friend to pick me up and George ran me back to the station on my way back to the station which I really appreciated. George is so lovely, George and Kate invited me to stay at there home in Chesterfield for two evenings whilst I was down there and the were both so accommodating and welcomed me so warmly. They cooked me up some very delicious meals and I had the comfiest bed, they are both quite the little chef's. They are both so chatty and funny, it was great chilling with them the night before the shoot and that evening before I left for Newcastle. I also loved meeting there cute pets Amy, Puss Puss and Lucy. A beautiful family and a wonderful studio day which was booked out, so a great success also. All the photographers were very happy with the day and it went so smoothly.

If you want to book the studio do not hesitate. Highly recommended by me and if your a travelling model and are not sure about the area etc, contact George and he will be so helpful. You will get some amazing images there and be in the company of George a very professional photographer and a fab studio owner with a safe and accommodating environment plus you will get the chance to work with a gem of a model 'KateC'.

I absolutely love everything about this studio! It’s spacious and there is just so much you can do there – the ideas are endless! I have attended group shoots and run studio days here all of which have been totally enjoyable and the outcome has always been positive. The photographers who jump onto the group shoots both regulars and new, are all lovely and respectful. It is always a super friendly environment making it a guaranteed fun evening/day.

I highly recommend the studio to any photographer and model and I hope to back again soon this year.

The Photo Taker

A had a particular project I was working on and Barlow Studio was recommended to me as a suitable studio to do it. And what a great recommendation I was.

The facilities are brilliant, just what I wanted, and George, the owner couldn’t be more helpful and accommodating. Needless to say the shoot went better that I could have hoped for, and the results are everything could have hoped for.

I was the feature model at a group shoot here, and i must say the studio is stunning.

Plenty of space, an abundance of set ups and lighting and a wonderful man who runs the place (Thank you, George!)

This studio provides everything you could think of, including plenty of props and even an out door space (that is actually indoors!)

It's a real treasure, and I hope to work there again in the future.
