References for Barlow studios

I had my first group shoot at Barlow Studios and I was pleasantly surprised how much fun and laughter it can be. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and thanks to George the event was organised with both the model and the photographers in mind which meant that everyone was made feel very comfortable and catered for. The studio itself gives an excellent variety of backgrounds you do not get in many studios and George is so friendly, welcoming and I'd love to work at the studios again!

Yet again, George made a crowded studio day a real pleasure. George made disabled photographers very much at home, and set up lights, light modifiers and reflectors throughout the day, carefully balancing the lights for each setup. He also made refreshments for everyone, and was on hand with expert advice.

Had a group shoot yesterday at Barlow studio and loved every minute. George is such a pleasure to work for and your safety/ wellbeing is paramount to George. The studio is great with an extensive range of facilities and the vibe is always friendly and laid back.

I turned up at Barlow Studio which had been booked by the people I was working with. This is a fantastic spacious studio with lots of high quality equipment and props. There are several sets and help on hand to set up. Unfortunately my MUA and her models didn't show. The guys at the studio were lovely and I would definitely use the studio in better circumstances!

This was the second time I had shot at Barlow and both times I thoroughly enjoyed it. Great sets, great lighting and owner George is always on hand to help you get the best out of your visit.

Love the new layout, especially the decorating wall, we had great fun with that. Great location too, you really feel like you have had a great day out with top notch photographic facilities and that fresh country air.

I have now worked at Barlow studios many times and still never left a reference for it!

Barlow studio is easily my favourite studio in Derbyshire.

Brilliant sets which aren't cheesy, a variety of high quality equipment, masses of space and just all round fantastic.

The owner, George is always a great laugh, down to earth and easy to talk to, very trusting with his clients and happy to help when needed.

The studio is under- going some refurbishment at the moment and I just know it will look even better when done.

Models are always well looked after and the changing room has always been of an adequate size and kept lovely and toasty for me :)

I will always enjoy coming up to Barlow studio and look forward to seeing it when refurbishment is complete!

Had the pleasure of working at Barlow studios yetsterday for the very first time and what a fantastic place.

George is very welcoming and the studio has a great atmosphere. I would definitely recommend the studio to other models,and photographers without hesitation. Overall an amazing studio, excellent owner, and a really great fun place to work!

Look forward to working at Barlow studios again in the near future.

I have always loved working at Barlow Studio with its large amount of space, excellent range of lighting and accessories and the knowledge and experience of George its owner.

The studio is now even better than ever with a new better designed layout and a series of new sets and refurbished original ones like the white shapes wall and the living room.

I can fully recommend Barlow studio to every experience level of photographer as a great place to produce superb images.

I have been going to Barlow studios now for a considerable number of years and have always felt very welcome and happy to be there. George is a brilliant Host and really makes you feel welcome there, offering support to those who are new and lets you get on with it if you dont need any assistance. Its a wonderful place to work in with lots of sets and space. The recent alterations to the studios have done a great deal to enhance the place and improve the picture taking capablities that a photographer wants. The changes to the models changing room also are very welcome and the ablity to welcome photographers with limited mobility is a key factor for the studio to appeal to able bodied and disabled photographers alike. Great and friendly atmosphere, the kettle gets a lot of hammer and its like a home from home for lots of us. Love the group shoots and enjoy the studio a great deal. Highly recommended to models, photographers, makeup artists and creatives.

Fantastic day at Barlow Studios in Sheffield a few days ago :)

The studio had lots of brilliant facilities, props and lighting.

George and Stuart were accommodating the whole day with plenty of refreshments and heat :)

I would highly recommend it to any model/photographer.

I have shot at barlow studios many times now and I love the atmosphere and sets that are there ,, George the owner is a fantastic guy, very generous and always makes you feel so welcome. I always feel very comfortable shooting there even to where I usually make the coffee in the nude!!! ive met some fab photographers there and hope to continue working at this great studio ... thanks barlow studios for being agreat place to work from ... angel p xx

Had my first group shoot at Barlow studios last night and it was a brilliant experience. George made me feel very welcome, the kettle was on as soon as I walked through the door and the photographers I met there were also very friendly. The whole experience felt very light hearted despite the fast pass of the session and the amount of beautiful images which were produced. I would defiantly go back there and would recommend them to other models.

I did a studio day at Barlow earlier this month and had a fantastic time! All of the people there were absolutely lovely and loved a good natter and a cup of tea. I was looked after extremely well (was even bought lots of pies/sausage rolls :D) and really enjoyed my day :)

I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the place or going back myself!

PS Beware of the mutant flies ;) haha!

I have shot at Barlows Studio a number of times over the last 12 months and have always had a good experience. George always makes you feel welcome and nothing is to much trouble. He is professional and I would highly recommend him and the studio.

I have worked at Barlow Studios for a number of years now and I can safely say, Barlow is one of the best studios I know. George the owner, he cares about professionalism and the upkeep of his studio. He is friendly and approachable. He is also more than happy to help with lighting set ups/prop set up and he also there for model or photographer safety and I can highly recommend him as a professional and lovely man.

The studio is forever changing and can accommodate for any photography venture you may have. From family/wedding/pet shoots. To commercial product shots.. to model shots, nude, boudoir, fashion and catalogue work. As well as beauty work. The list is endless! I love it there, the atmosphere is lovely and friendly and I will continue to work at Barlow for many more years to come. Thank you George!

Had a couple of shoots now at Barlow and would thoroughly recommend them

is a spacious studio with lots of sets but for me, the best bit is the warmth. I noticed it the first time I went and the second time confirmed it. Some studio's can have a cold almost clincal feel to them - Barlow doesnt, its a very relaxed and friendly environment.

I have shot many times at Barlow and love the place george always makes you feel at home and very helpful the studio is certainly one of my favourites to work from it has everything a model and photographer could ask for and more.

Really enjoyed working there and George made me feel welcome and I was impressed with the many different sets available. Worked on 3 of them including the shower set which was warm, lovely and warm.
