I attended one of Artemis's 1-2-1 Atremisian shoots in Lanzarote in early December 2023.

I have shot with Artemis many times over the years and when she suggested the opportunity I lept at the chance of some winter sun mixing my hobbies of photography and geology in great company.

Artemis is an outstanding model and knows the island very well, all I needed to do was turn up with my photographic gear as she would organise everything else! Her trips are incredibly well organised, superb villa, gorgeous home cooked food, throughly scouted locations, and of course a professional model/photographer to ensure you get the best possible images during your time there.

The trip was very productive photography wise without loosing the idea that it was a holiday. Artemis was great chilled company and wonderful host. A super experience. I would throughly recommend her tailor made Artemisian events, the original and the best :)

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to come along and I must apologise for talking your ears off. Hopefully it will not be the only Artemisian event I attend in the coming years.

My third Artemesian holiday, and despite all the trials and tribulations that Artemis Fauna has been through recently, they just keep getting better. Well-scouted locations, wonderful models, good food and excellent company. Artemesian holidays are now so prestigious that even the chef gets FPIs (in-joke)! :-)

My only regret is just how fast the week went, one evening I was thinking "five whole shooting days ahead" and apparently ten minutes later I was packing my case to leave. I'd have stayed another week (or two) if it was possible.

Absolutely, thoroughly and unreservedly recommended.

It is a few weeks since I returned from my latest Artemisian trip. This time to Sicily. It has taken me so long to write this reference because I have been on all the major Artemisian trips as well as a few smaller ones and it's difficult to think of anything I have not said before. I am obviously an Artemisionphile. I love the trips. I love the people. I love the venues.

My friend Dave Edwards, has written a beautiful reference and I concur with his sentiments.

Carla joined Artemis in a different role this year. Together with Adrian she produced the wonderful food we ate at our villa as well as helping in so many other ways. Luckily for us all, she did manage a little bit of modeling as well.

It must be said that we had a few setbacks on the trip. The weather didn't play ball all the time and Etna erupted as group 3 were due to arrive. Totally undaunted Artemis adjusted the program so that we hardly noticed the setbacks. Very impressive indeed.

Of all the trips I've been on it's hard to say which has been the best. They all stand out for separate reasons.

It's Croatia next. I only hope I spared long enough to get a few more Artemisian trips under my belt.

They are the best. Artemis is the best.

I have just returned from another Artemisian event – this time in Sicily – after far, far, far too long a break. I think it’s fair to say that despite all the challenges, trials, tribulations, and tragedy of the last few years, Artemisian has returned with all the intrinsic flair, panache, passion, and creativity it always had. Out of adversity grows strength.

Sarah had found a fantastic, archetypal rural farmhouse, which on one hand felt as rustic as could be, but yet had been sympathetically renovated to 21st century luxury standards. A beautiful pool and relaxation area lay just outside the courtyard, with views over the rolling countryside and Mediterranean to the south. Straw bales drying in the sun in the fields behind the villa completed the rural idyl setting.

Pretty much everything ran like clockwork, apart from acts of God, which saw planes delayed, volcanoes erupting and biblical wind and rain and the arrival of some members of the group delayed. Sarah, of course, took it all in her stride (despite the unsympathetic cackling and black humour from those in the cheap seats who had arrived despite it all), rearranged the schedule and the whole event was a total pleasure.

Her choice of models for the group was similarly inspiring; two top-flight international models with similar genres and completely different styles! And of course, there were a couple of “guest appearances” from UK favourites, too! I found all the models to be not only sympathetic to my preferred way of working, but also to gently coaxing me into different approaches, which was absolutely invaluable, and something I intend to take away and build on.

It goes almost without saying that the photographers were a similarly disparate group, and this created an exciting dynamic to the enjoyment, allowing us all to bounce off each other and draw on each other’s experiences.

There have been some inevitable personnel changes since my last event which can’t be ignored; Iain’s presence and quick, dry wit, along with his hospitality skills will be impossible to replace and sorely missed. Yet Carla and Adrian have taken his ethos and legacy and provided their own excellent style of hospitality in a way I think would meet with Iain’s exacting standards. Having returned home, the bathroom scales suggest I shall be on a stricter diet for some considerable time!

It's difficult to write one of these without creating a superlative word soup, but really, Artemisian events are absolutely brilliant and a total tonic; you should try one if you possibly can.

Had the pleasure of joining Artemis again recently on one of her luxury photography holidays,this time in Sicily.This was my second time on an Artemisian trip and once again the villa,shoot locations and choice of models(Irida S and Sigrife) was outstanding.During our stay we were treated to first class cooking by Carla and Adrien who constantly kept us fed and watered.

If you are thinking of going on a luxury photo holiday then I can highly recommend an Artemisian trip.

I have recently returned from the latest Artemisian luxury photographic holiday in Lanzarote.Since my first Artemisian trip to Portugal, I have had the greatest respect for Artemis's creativity and organisational ability. I have been on every one since then and have been excited to see them develop over the years in scope and style.

This trip to Lanzarote was always going to be difficult. 12 months ago we were here with Artemis's long-term partner and my friend IainT. Despite the stresses, the pain, and the various problems that had to be solved on the way, Artemis managed to create an amazing event. The styling and the themes were brilliant. The 3 additional models were superb the villa was great and the food was excellent.

An amazing event and just the thing for recharging your batteries in preparation for winter.

I haven't changed my mind. Artemis is an amazingly creative and talented lady.

This has been an extremely tough and challenging year for Artemis Fauna and Artemisian, with the passing of IainT, however Artemis has worked beyond what anyone could ever imagine, to ensure Artemisian would continue to provide the best experience for photographers who want that luxurious photographic experience.

I have just returned from Artemisian trip #3 in Lanzarote and once again am blown away by the creativity, styling and fantastic locations we shot at.

We shot fantastic locations, with top class models and each shoot has produced many images that will need to be edited.

Artemis works hard on every aspect of these trips and that commitment is evident through the fantastic experience both photographers and non photographers who join these trips get to enjoy.

Thank you for everything you do and hopefully we will get to join another Artemisian trip and create more fantastic images.

Despite all the heartaches and setbacks, Artemis has suffered this year she persisted in carrying on with the proposed Artemisian trip to Croatia. Some of us were a little concerned that she had taken on too much. We underestimated her. The trip was sensational.

Based in a beautiful Villa with food lovingly prepared by a Croatian Masterchef ( Who will be with Artemisian at Lanzarote later in the year.) 2 superb models performed wonders for groups 1 and 2 whilst Groups 3 and 4 enjoyed the creativity of 4 of Britains best, including Artemis herself.

Some of the shooting took place at spectacular sites previously scouted by Artemis.

I've more or less been on all the major Artemisian trips now and witnessed the development of Artemis's original concept. Despite all her hardships this year Artemis has proved that the Show Moves On. Despite all the odds she cracked it. It was fantastic to be there. Thank you Artemis. On to the next one.

I have recently returned from my 2nd Artemisian Luxury Photographic Holiday and I didn't think the first could be topped, but Artemis Fauna and her 3 beautiful models did just that.

4 nights / 5 days shooting in Croatia with Artemis, Ayla, Carla & Ivory Flame was exceptional. From our (my wife accompanied me) arrival at the villa to our departure, so many fantastic memories were created.

A stunning Villa, with top class catering and hospitality, Luxury is truly the best way to describe our accommodation.

The shoots were outstanding, from the themes, to the locations, to the styling, to the modelling - everything was first class. The 4 models were modelling in extremely tough conditions on some of the days with high temps in the mid 30's Celsius and on our GOT themed day they battled wind speeds of 40mph with gusts of almost 50 mph, but they took everything in their stride.

The 4 models - Artemis, Ayla, Carla and Ivory Flame are 4 of the sweetest, funniest, most professional, beautiful ladies you could ever hope to work with, and while i have shot with each of them several times, to have them working as four together was out of this world. They have been called the "dream team" and that is probably underselling what they bring as individuals, duo's, trios and all 4 together. Nothing was too much trouble and I have returned with more than hundreds of photos to review, I have returned with memories of great times, lots of laughs, hopefully friendships and ultimately the best experience for both my wife and myself.

Thanks Artemis for managing to pull this off, alongside everything else you had going on in your life and I genuinely mean this when I say it - you are one of the most caring, thoughtful, beautiful souls anyone could every hope to get to know.

I have just returned from the latest Artemisian extravaganza in Lanzarote.

I know how hard Artemis had worked to pull it all together. The disappointment when earlier plans had to be cancelled. The threat that this trip may also have to be cancelled which hung over her head until only a few weeks before finally taking off for the Island.

Amazingly, seemingly against all the odds, she smashed it. The trip was sensational. Obviously the product of months, if not years of work. With Iain T's brilliant cooking, 4 exceptional models, Incredibly creative themes, lots of 1 to 1 time and a villa in a setting to die for.

No mean task to keep the whole event rolling but Artemis did it in magnificent style.

There were lot of happy photographers at the end of the trip leaving with great pictures and memories.

Artemision is back with, not so much a bang as an explosion.

Thanks Artemis and Iain, you are the best, and thanks Carla, Nirmala and Minh-Ly for making this event so memorable.

My experience with Artemisian Luxury Photography has been highly positive.

Artemis's communication was informative, personalized, and smooth. She always answered me very quickly, with enthusiasm, and was receptive to my suggestions if I had. In person, she was always energetic, attentive to everyone from models to photographers, and a great host.

I was impressed with the quality of the event, how much everything has been thought out and prepared with care, from the practical aspects like lodging, and food (Ian's cooking was amazing and so varied!) to the creative aspects like concepts, styling, makeup, hair, location, etc. Seeing the hard work behind it, Artemis has my biggest respect.

I can certainly state it was the best photographic event that I had have participated in so far in my career.

I really loved my time there and loved working with everyone, from Artemis, my co-models, to the photographers participating. Looking forward as well for our paths to cross.

Artemisian Luxury Photographic Holidays - everything about the name came to fruition and at a very high level of quality. It was luxurious, there were ample high quality photographic shoots and it was most definitely a holiday.

This was my first Artemisian holiday and I was accompanied by my wife. The fact that both myself as a photographer and my wife as a non photographer got so much from this trip tells it’s own story.

Artemis and Iain T leave nothing to chance, it is all planned and executed to perfection, right from the minute Iain picked us up at the hotel.

The villa, the food, the models, the styling, the location, the energy the models brought, the professionalism, the fun, new friendships, the list is endless but one thing common across everything - first class!!

I could write so much more than what I have but hopefully my few lines convey how much I LOVED this trip.

Spent four days in Lanzarote organised by Artemisian. It was the first time I had done something like this and didn't know what to expect. I thought it would be good - I was wrong, it was amazing!

Accommodation was fabulous. Food (thanks to IainT) was fantastic. The company was super - such a fun group of people!

A fabulous group of four professional, beautiful, talented models who put in 100% to make our images special. Sites in which to shoot with costumes to suit that helped create images that I could never have achieved any other way.

And the most remarkable thing was that this was all organised and ran smoothly again the background of what has been going on for the last 18 months. Throughout all that communication was impeccable and so much was done to make it easy, enjoyable and creative for us. I cannot begin to imagine how much work went in to make all of this happen, but so grateful it was, because the experience was utterly magical!

This was the second trip I had done with Artemisian so I knew what to expect and boy I wasn't dissappointed! Considering that this trip had been cancelled twice for Covid I am surprised that Sarah had the resilience to dust herself down and creat another fabulous event.

It is Sarah's attention to detail that makes these so good to go on. The pre comms is excellent with her going that extra mile to make sure all the attendees knew what was required to travel in these strange times.

But it is the planning where she really excels. The pre scouting for locations, planning the shoots together with sorting out and making outfits and accessories the models wear is second to none. Her ideas know no bounds it seems. And her choice of models to invite to 'fit in' is great too.

The food on these trips is amazing with Iain beavering away in the background creating mouthwatering dishes every day. Thanks Iain.

Needless to say I had a fabulous time and would highly recommend one of these trips. The only downside is it will all go far too quickly!

The Artemisian Luxury Photographic Holiday in Lanzarote was spectacular. Artemis Fauna organized the trip perfectly and still managed serve as one of the four models along with Carla Monaco, Minh Ly and Nirmala Fernandes. The themes were very creative and contributed greatly to the creative potential from which all photographers benefited. The villa was both comfortable and luxurious. And IainT insured that we had three delicious meals every day while also providing driver services to all our locations.

In summary, the event could not have gone better and was true evidence of the great events created by Artemis Fauna.

Let’s play a game. Let’s try and imagine the ultimate photographic holiday.

What will we need? Well, some models, obviously. How many should we have? Three? Four? Sounds about right. The models are going to have to be really rather special – right at the top of their game, but also, they will need to be genuinely nice people. After all we are going to be spending plenty of time with them chatting over dinner or relaxing by the pool. Dinner? Well, how about a private chef? This is our fantasy; we can have whatever we like. May as well throw in a private chauffeur as well while we’re at it. The location should be somewhere warm. An amazingly luxurious villa is a must. Free flowing wine, gin and tonic and maybe a dram or two would also feature.

Ideally there would be a team who would spend ages scouting out some amazing locations for us. And a stylist. Someone creative who can come up with imaginative themes and will look after the costumes, the props and all the minutiae that go into an amazing shot. All this whilst allowing us enough space to exercise our own creativity.

Let’s give ourselves a pat on the back – we have just begun to imagine an Artemisian holiday.

Lord knows how Artemis continues to create these holidays – particularly against the background of this pandemic. Despite the chaos of the last year Artemis continued to keep everyone informed and provide detailed guidance on all the latest travel regulations and restrictions. The amount of sheer hard work she puts in to make these events so special is truly astonishing.

Thank you to all the fantastic models – Carla, Minh-ly, Nirmala and of course Artemis herself. Thanks to Iain for the fantastic food. And of course to you, Artemis for creating something this special despite all the hurdles you had to negotiate. Quite how you are going to top this I can’t imagine. But I know you will give it a damned good try.

Awesome few days in Lanzarote with Artemis and Carla. Accomodation was in a really lovely villa with a swimming pool to relax in. Several shoots that were all well planned and at fantastic locations. Food was great too.

My second trip with Artemisian Luxury Photographic Holidays, having had a wonderful trip to Tuscany last year. This time the venue was Portugal but everything was as organised as before. I shot with Artemis Fauna and Siren for two manic but very enjoyable days, bolstered by IainT's culinary exploits. I'm already planning for next time, which is probably the most telling thing I can say.
