I had a bloody lovely shoot with Mike, we had no idea what so ever what we wanted to do but after chatting for a little while & getting to know each other over a cuppa, we started & I can honestly say we produced some of my favourite shots at my home I've had yet.

He's bubbly, talkative & sociable, likes to have a laugh & it makes my job so much easier when I click with the person I'm working with. We bounced ideas around, I got to don my wig for the first time & wore, just foundation & a little blush which, after seeing the shots, boosted my confidence that I don't always need a huge amount of makeup on to make some lovely images.

I truly thank Mike for driving all the way from London to Bristol after 9 months of discussion of a shoot, we finally had our photoshoot baby, & it will be glorious.

Wow! Not sure what to say about Mike!! He's just fab!

As soon as we got a shoot booked in the calendar I was so excited and knew it was going to be awesome! He's such a pleasure to work with, down to earth, chatty and friendly whilst being completely professional :)

Shot yesterday and I have already received some epic images! :D

I will definitely be working with him again and 100% recommend him to all models!

I worked with Mike for the third time last month as part of his photography tuition day. Mike is always a pleasure to work with - he's friendly, creative, and ensures I am comfortable (even on the freezing South Bank!) I look forward to working with him again :)

I have to say Mike is a fantastic resources of ideas

I applied to his tutorial long time ago and today finally we make it.

I was nervous about his technique far away from my experience.

For that reason I'd challenge myself to learn and experiment new things.

I loved work with Mike even more because he choose a great model Ecce! which is one of my favourite.

The results from my first attempt to do something different speaks them selves.

Whhhheeerrreee to start!

Mike is a gem to work with! We've shot maybe 4 times now? and every time it gets better and better! Mikes work progresses and so does mine! He's so professional and so easy to shoot with! Comes with a " sort of plan" ha! and goes from there! But everything is spot on! Love working with Mike!! billion times recommended :D

This will by my 4th shoot with This fantastic chap now, he takes the most amazing photos, so easy to get along with and he is cool with me playing heavy metal during our shoot haha. Oh and the photos are gray too!!!

Well what can I say about my shoot with Mike.... absolutely fantastic..!!! We've been planning to shoot together for quite some time now and it was so much worth the wait!!

Mike is a brilliant photographer with plenty of ideas and is always happy to try anything (however crazy the idea is!) just to get that one shot.

A very fun guy, cool to be around, lots of laugh, fun chats, and awesome images..!! We had so many ideas but unfortunately the time went far too quickly so we are already planning our 2nd shoot and I'm so looking forward to it!! Definitely highly recommended to anyone!! I had my second shoot with Mike recently and it was fantastic. We shot at my home this time after working in a studio for our previous shoot and he was able to adapt easily to the surroundings in order to get the best shots possible.

I was keen to work with Mike again after being so impressed with the shots from our last shoot and although we went for a very different theme this time around, I am confident that the result will be exactly what I wanted.

Mike is an excellent photographer who is not afraid to try new things and get creative. His easy-going and approachable attitude make shooting with Mike feel effortless and fun.

I was fortunate to have a shoot today with Mike and although I was feeling flat he helped me to express my emotions into the images he captured.

Mikes images have always stood out to me, they are very expressive, dreamy and beautiful. I was highly impressed with Mikes ability to think outside the box and his wacky creativity! Reminded me of painting with random objects at art college!

A very talented photographer, and a laid back lovely guy who knows how to get that special shot!

Highly recommend, Mike is a really lovely guy and so easy to work with, he could shoot you in a rubbish tip and still make the picture look amazing, so if you get the chance to work with this really amazing guy, do not turn him down, trust me! I really hope to work with Mike again, fingers crossed!

I worked with Mike for the first time on a location shoot around London. His pre-shoot comms were great and I really enjoyed our shoot together. Mike is down to earth and easy to get along with. We had a great day shooting and he knew of some awesome locations. As it was cold, he even kindly brought me a hot chocolate to help me warm up. He had some cool ideas and there was lots of conversation whilst we shot. I highly recommend him to other models and would happily work with him again :)

I worked with Mike yesterday on a tutorial shoot in the morning, followed by an afternoon getting to grips with the fundamentals of post prossessing using a shot taken that morning. Mike is a thoroughly great guy, fun and easy going and full of ideas, yet at all times the consumate professional. He clearly loves what he does and can invent a shot out of nothing. He will also go the extra mile to help, and I found it to be an invaluable day from start to finish. I picked up so much and will definately book up some more of his time. If Mike was a phone app. everyone should have one.

Really creative person to work with, making sure he doesn't just shoot plain stuff and trys to inject a bit of fun and life into the image :)

Really loved what I saw on the back of the camera and the whole shoot from start to finish was fabulous!

Honestly love this guys photographic skills. Mike is one of the nicest people you will have the pleasure to meet and work with. 110% genuine and just loves what he does!

Mike came along with a few ideas but he's always open to suggestions and happy to go with the flow.I love the fact he likes to take a break half way through, have a cuppa and look through the images. Mike is all about quality over quantity, its a same more photographers don't take note of this.

The images on the back of the camera are stunning and the one he has edited already....just WOW!

Without a doubt I would recommend Mike to any model!

I had a smashing shoot with the lovely Mike and his magic whirlitzer today. It was cold and windy but I was well cared for, including a tea and cake break between sets. Mike was very experimental with leaves, tinsel and various other fun things, and we created some gorgeous images, as well as having a laugh in between. He's professional, laid-back and very talented - highly recommended and I hope there's a next time.

AWESOME......I had a shoot with Mike on Monday which was assisted by Jon Downs.

Mike is an absolute blast to work with. I honestly couldn't wish for two better photograhers working together with me.

Mike is one of the most creative photographers i've come a cross. An absolute gentleman and a complete professional.

His work is by far some of the best i've seen, but the same as Jon Downs he really doesn't give himself enough credit.

Bloody outstanding!

what an awesome chap Mike is!!!! he attended a 1-2-1 tutorial day I organised recently.

we had an absolute blast of a day - the first half was spent doing an assisted shoot with the gorgeous Theresa Louise modelling for us at her house. the second half was a post processing tutorial hosted at my local coffee emporium.

I have to say what a genuinely lovely and seriously talented chap Mike is. you just have to look at his port to see the quality of his work. right from word go he was friendly, easy going and very receptive to the ideas - putting the techniques we discussed to good use straight away and then going on to adapt them on the fly during the shoot.

for the post processing section the techniques were noted and put into practice straight away. I'm loving the results I've seen so far!!!

I really cannot recommend him highly enough!

WOW ..... I have just got back from a fantastic shoot with mike at joel hicks studio ...

this has been in the planning for ages and I can tell you now it was sooooo worth the wait !!!!

mike is bloody awesome !!!!!!! I have literally had the best day ( even though I froze for some part of it all in the sake of art )..lol

mike is very talented and professional and certainly knows his stuff ...... we got through loads of different sets and from what I saw on the back of the camera I think we got some really cool images ... cant wait to see them!!! even the cheesy daft ones !! lol x

mike is extremely easy to get along with and we had a great laugh and for me the time went by far too quickly and I could of stayed another 4 hours ....

im sure mike doesn't need recommending but I will anyway and if you don't get the chance to work with him then your definitely missing out x
