5th or 6th or trillionth shoot with Arrow?

I modelled for a one-2-one tuition session he was hosting with Howson Collective and as with all the other shoots, I was very well looked after, knew the brief in advance and was clear of the times, locations and what was expected of me etc.

Throughout the session communication was excellent and it actually felt too fun to be work.

This is the second time I've modelled at one of his training days and how he explains and demonstrates to his pupils impresses me. Plus they always leave encouraged and passionate to implement the techniques they have learned from the day.

Mike took a few test shots from the session to demo and already he's edited them to show me and the results are stunning.

As always highly recommended xx :)

I approached Arrow with the intention of getting the opportunity to have an in depth tuition session, from an experienced and accomplished photographer. I was not disappointed.

Arrow was very polite and guided me through the process leading up to the tuition, with clear communication through-out and answered my numerous questions.

I am very pleased with the results of the day and viewed this as one of the most informative and helpful photography tutorials I have had so far.

Arrow Photography is an incredibly talented creative I'm so grateful to have worked with!

I was really excited at the opportunity to make a short video together whilst on my first residency at the gorgeous Hacienda in London.

We bounced possibilities and inspirations around via email prior to help prepare for the shoot. We only had around an hour to work and I was feeling nervous, since although I find the potentials of video so exciting I also still find it quite daunting. The way Mike worked really put me at ease - he is extremely professional, with great energy, swiftly knows what will work well, listens to your aims, adapts and embraces ideas as the shoot evolves - I felt I could fully trust his creative eye and stunning camera skills.

Mike's encouragement for feedback impressed me hugely! He wanted us both to be 100% happy, and his positive responses and great attitude to making changes in the earlier edits were BRILLIANT. For me this is so valued as video can be tricky to get right and you're displaying yourself in an even more visceral way. Mike made me feel completely involved with the process and fully respected as the subject.

What he created is so beautiful and the whole experience has given me further confidence and interest to work on more film work. I'd love to work with him again in future and absolutely recommend him to others!

Second shoot with Mr Arrow today. Fab chap!!! Always dead easy to organise a shoot with, great person to be around, lots of banter, plenty of tea and zero drama!

We always bounce ideas round and see what works or doesn’t work, everything is seemless!

From what I saw on the back of the camera today we nailed some cool new stuff and what’s even better is that we worked of some different ideas to what Arrow usuallly shoots.

I worked wtih Mike again just before Christmas and had an absolute blast!! He was very kind to come to me in Wiltshire and we shot a series of stunning stills and Video in my home. I am relatively new to Video and really lack in confidence (like you wouldn't believe!) in comparison to stills. However I'm a firm believer of doing things that push you out of your comfort zone- and video is something I would love to gain more experience in.

Mike made me feel like a million dollars (so to speak! :P ) and takes such stunning videography and stills effortlessly. He is also very kind, super down to earth and very encouraging to work with. I left the shoot feeling that I had achieved something new.

His edits after the shoot were also super quick and I was blown away by his skills! He is a super talented creative guy and I really look forward to working together again soon! Highly recommended, Helen x

I’m now about to sound like a blushing school girl with her first crush!

Arrow deserves every wonderful comment and recommendation he has – and then more.

We had been chatting, and on the day we were due meet I had the good fortune that his planned model couldn’t make it. And so armed with his camera, a fantastic sense of fun, light and space and an ability to really SEE we had the best time with an impromptu shoot!

It’s clear the man is a genius photographer – his work speaks for itself, but it’s important to note here that: Arrow’s modesty is endearing; he appreciates and respects the model who he’s working with; his suggestions for image capture were spot on because he knows his craft; he’s funny, witty, respectful and knows how to laugh! I have total trust and faith in Arrow as a person and as an artist - his interest is in the best image possible – and it was fun as it should be.

Oh, and he’s also pretty hot and has great taste in music!

If you get the chance to work with this artist – jump at it! I certainly am looking forward to the next time!

Everything about the shoot was amazing. The set up of the location, the atmosphere ... and I have waited for so long to work with Mr Row and I’m glad we did it...

we created some amazing pictures and I can’t wait to share with you all.... He is amazing photographer as well as person ... so thank you Mr Row for the amazing experience ...

Mike is friendly, professional and extremely good at achieving amazing results with just the camera and available light. Drawn initially to his impressive portfolio of natural light stills, I stepped in to fill a late cancellation at his DSLR Video Workshop at the excellent Hacienda studio this week. Video is a massive subject, but Mike has put together a great introductory 4 hour session during which I learnt a huge amount (considering I have never used the video function on my Nikon until the night before to test it). The final cut featuring the talented Nicole Rayner looked like a piece of work that took a couple of days to put together, so if you want to learn how to get results - look out for one of these sessions. Throughout the morning, Mike went through every process from theory to setting up, shooting techniques right through to editing, making sure at all times we understood before moving on. Mike is accessible to questions and advice after the event and the next day, I received an email with a number of links to equipment, tips and software - I left the session feeling inspired to really give this a go, so money well spent.

Having been a fan of Mike's video work, I jumped at the opportunity to attend one of his DSLR video workshops hosted at the Hacienda in London.

I have played around with video a bit, and was hoping this workshop would help me get to grips with more of the technical side and creating a more polished professional result. It did not disappoint! Mike shared his knowledge from initial planning to the producing the final result. The content was extremely good and the workshop was well placed. Mike has a wealth of knowledge in this field and easily answered any questions that I had.

Time flew quickly, but in the four hours we had, i walked away feeling confident in my ability to shoot better video, a testament to the quality of Mikes ability to deliver a fun, informative and extremely worthwhile workshop

Well lucky me got to work with Mr Arrow again recently - this time as part of a video shooting/editing workshop hosted at the Hacienda, London!

I LOVE WORKING WITH ARROW SO MUCH!!!! I MIGHT MOVE TO LONDON JUST TO BE CLOSER! hahah! (joke I love my flat)

But seriously, love love love working with mr Row! It was great this time to see another side to Michael , as he had his very professional head on due to having 4 delegates wanting to learn from him! He was still super fun to be around but I was super impressed with the amount of insight and information Michael offered during the session! I was super impressed with his teaching style, nothing was too much trouble or too silly a question. He was very approachable and relaxed throughout! And I really feel he taught everyone a great deal - though he made sure to adjust the pace appropriately for each session to make sure everyone was following, and getting as much out of the sessions as possible!

Even though I've only worked with Michael twice, this occasion being the second, I feel we are very in tune. I like to think I have a pretty good idea of what he likes and I think he knows what I like too, and so together the work is pretty darn awesome, even if I do say so myself! Hopefully I'll get to work with Michael more next year!! I would highly recommend him to all models -

Mike is a genius. That's it... okay, I'll have to say a bit more. I normally shoot BTS video on my shoots, but lately have been thinking to make my kit bag a lot smaller and thus have my back thank me for the less weight it has to carry when I head to shoots. I hadn't planned on going to the workshop, but I'm glad a place opened up at the last minute that I could join the morning session. The four hr session flew by as Mike has a way of explain things in an easy manner, is open to you asking questions and providing you with help when need during the practical part of shooting video with the DSLR (with the wonderful Nicole Rayner as our muse for the session). I thought it money well spent and have already ordered the field monitor he used and I am in the process of going through a trial period with FCP since I've worked with PP all my career, but I can see myself purchasing the full version if I can even get a ounce of what Mike could do with the software and the footage that was shot during that morning. Once again a workshop has opened my eyes to seeing how to do things differently than I was used to.

I was lucky enough to attend a tutorial with Mike last year, & despite this he still agreed to give me some more tuition today!

As well as being a photographer who's work I admire, Mike (luckily) is also an I.T "guru". Thus he managed to convey plenty of knowledge re: post processing to me, a fat fingered keyboard operator with a steam powered laptop.

Mike is great at explaining technical issues in layman's terms, in a concise, polite & entertaining manner. The time flew past & it was more like a meeting with a friend than a "tutorial" as such.

I'm more than happy to recommend him as a photographer & "teacher", & if my next crop of images don't get FPI's it's because of my poor eye, not his poor instructing. ;)

I worked with the amazing dude that is Mike with the sensational Toulouki (Cheryl!) recently on a fairly short notice trip and had such a great shoot!!

Cheryl had originally got in touch with me to see if I was interested in modelling for a Video tutorial she had booked with Mike at the fantastic "The Little Chelsea Gallery Studio" in Eastbourne. I had been wanting to do more video work for a while, also to gain some acting experience- so snapped up the chance and so glad I did!

Although I had worked with Cheryl many times before, it was my first time working with Mike and I was a little nervous- but we all immediately struck up a rapport and I absolutely loved working together!

We did a mixture of stills and video over the course of the day- and I dont know who was more nervous (myself or Cheryl!) but we rocked it! As two relative beginners to video, I was really happy with the results.

Mike was extremely patient, kind and the perfect mentor to Cheryl. He also made me feel super comfortable as a beginner in Model Videography myself and I really appreciated that. He creates such a great fun, relaxed atmosphere to shoot in and is both a talented stills photographer and videographer- producing beautiful shots effortlessly!

I liked that he was on hand to help Cheryl when she needed it- but also stepped back to let her explore her own creativity and direct- a really great sign of a great mentor and tutor.

Cheryl and Mike were super kind to show me the results and editing process after the shoot also.

On top of this Cheryl was extremely ill so we rushed off to A&E after the shoot - It was definately a memorable day and thankfully ended well! :) I would love to work with Cheryl and Mike again as a team or seperately.

Super highly reoommended to all and we are already planning our next shoot together! Helen x

What an incredible shoot! Had an impromptu shoot with Michael this week in London alongside the fabulous Miss N, and I couldn't be happier! Lovely guy who puts you totally at ease and whom you can have a laugh with, and the images! We didn't have the longest time to shoot unfortunately but what fantastic art we achieved in that time. Absolutely breathtaking photographs.

I cannot wait to work with Michael again, highly recommended.

Ahhh Michael, 'Arrow Photography' is the perfect name! He shoots with grace, precision and sublime style!

Michael and I worked together briefly at the start of the year whilst I was visiting London. As I was back down south again I just had to grab another opportunity to shoot with him and the amazing Anna Kamikaze for an off the cuff G/G shoot.

Michael is a fantastic photographer and an all round superstar!

Michael is friendly and extremely charismatic, and a true hearted creative. Working with him is a genuine pleasure.

With a relaxed atmosphere a great co-model and awesome photographer, we managed to capture some of the most breathtaking images I've ever posed for.

This was one of my most memorable and enjoyable shoots to date, highly reccomended.

Wow! What a great shoot, got to shoot with the legendary Arrow for the second time this time focusing on edgy editorial fashion style which is right up my street!

I felt really chilled and in my creative zone today, Michael is super easy to be around and he has an art of capturing models in a super classy and emotive way. Throughout the whole shoot we were bouncing different ideas and it truly was a very productive, creative day.

Aside from shooting, Michael is very interesting to talk to; intelligent, insightful & motivated he is a very calm good vibed person to be around.

I really looked forward to working with Mike again. The plan was to work on a video as well as some stills, and the video was so special to me. I appreciated being able to give my ideas and explain what I was trying to convey..and he added plenty also to make things feel really collaborative.

He is really easy to shoot with, relaxed and chatty and funny.

It is obvious enough that his work is lovely, and always worth taking a plane for. But more than that even, he is a really wonderful friend. Images are truly exceptional, person even more.
