Everything was well planned and communication was spot on... I was even feeling guilty of not bringing enough clothes for a "nude shoot"! (lol).

Alan made sure I don't miss him at the train station. It was an absolute pleasure working with Alan in his home studio, with props and a lot of what we could use to complement our shoot. All relaxed and taken care of by his wife. Music, tea, biscuits and smoked salmon sandwich is the combo to keep me going. It was a real good experience for me and I hope to work with him again soon.

My second time shooting with Alan...

... and gone one better!

It was an absolute pleasure to work with Alan again. I thought my first shooting with him was pretty good, but realised that a photographer with this capacity was probably using it as a warming up only :-P

What I absolutely liked about our second shoot was that we both had some ideas in our head from where to go, but developed something so special and beautiful what is definitely showing in the pictures. I have the feeling we created some light art! And the best part: we both realised we only made the first right steps to go on a real adventure.

Alan, thank you for your amazing work!

I had my first shooting with Alan yesterday. I expected a good shooting after a perfect pre-shoot communication and already getting the chance to prepare for the style we want to shoot; but my expectations surpassed many times over.

Alan was so lovely to pick me up from the train station. I felt extremely comfortable shooting at his amazing home studio; his lovely wife Carol contributed strongly to that - she is an angel, and I realised I'm not the only model who is enthused by her smoked salmon-cream sandwich ;-)

We worked on some beautiful art nude images inspired by the style of Ralph Gibson and Bill Brandt.

I very much like how Alan approaches his shootings; he has an exact picture in his head what he wants to create, but always leaves space to divert from it if it fits the moment better. I'm very happy with the pictures I saw so far and can't wait to see more creative outcomes.

Thank you Alan for shooting with me. It was an absolute pleasure.

I only have one wish: Coming back for another shoot soon.

At long last I had another lovely shoot with the always creative Alan in his amazing self-made home studio. Pre-shoot communications were helpful and creatively stimulating, as Alan explicated his Degas and Toulouse Lautrec- inspired project, which is an interesting and different way of depicting dancers in pre-pose mode- and supplied an illustrative moodboard. As previously, he kindly picked me up from the train station, and his wife Carol kindly provided me with copious cups of chamomile tea and smoked salmon sandwiches- luxury!

I've always admired the design of Alan's home studio, with its wall of glass doors backing onto his beautiful garden, with the garden reflecting upside down in the tiled floor, so it was great to be able to experiment with making some images using these properties. We had a beautiful warm autumnal day, so I was able to pose outside at times, interspersed with coming in, reviewing the images on the back of Alan's camera and on his computer- which is terrific, as one can see in better detail- and also perusing Alan's incredible collection of photography books.

It was a real pleasure to see and work with Alan again after such a long time- as Covid and other calamities had made it impossible to do so for years. Alan has already supplied me with beautiful ballet pictures from our shoot, which I was able to send to my mother- who was impressed. :)

Highly recommended, and I hope we will be able to work together again soon. :)

Yet another productive and fun shoot with the amazing Alan from his home studio, this time we worked on a series of art nude photographs using honey and I absolutely loved the shoot.

Alan is on my very highly recommended list not only because he is a talented and creative photographer but also because he is an amazing human with a kind soul.

My second shoot with Alan. This time we focused on art nude and working with the lights.

Alan is fantastic! Only our second shoot but I feel like I’ve known him much longer. He’s such a brilliant guy, easy to work and get along with. Our shoot time just disappears we’re having so much fun!

We finished off with some beautiful bodyscape using oil and water!! What a great finish to a great day!

Today was my first shoot with Alan and it was just fantastic!!

Pre comms were spot on. We discussed what was being planned and how we would achieve it. Alan arranged for a MUA for the shoot which was excellent!

Alan is great to work with. He had set the scene for the first set, and as soon as I was finished with my hair and makeup, we started shooting. Alan is a great photographer with great lighting skills, I’m so pleased with what we shot, we got some fabulous images.

This was something new for me and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I’m happy to say that Alan and I are already discussing a further shoot.

And another brilliant shoot with Alan. This time we attempted a number of poses I’d collected during lockdown. Some we managed, others were outside of my physical realms and the best were those we made up as we went along.

It was a truly satisfying shoot, with some great images captured, and many, many laughs along the way.
