He is exceptionally passionate about photography and just an overall delight to spend time with. 5 hours felt like 1.

I recently had a second photoshoot with Alan, and as we already knew each other, the workflow was smooth while we kept developing new ideas.

His attitude to a model and the process is quite personal, meaning he wants to know who you are and is interested in capturing your personality, while the ideas are agreed in advance which makes it easier on the spot.

He has a great home studio where after agreed 4 hours we had to extend for 2 hours more to realize all the ideas we had.

Easy going, kind and interesting, very skilled photographer. Highly recommend him and can't wait to work together again.

I shot with Alan for the second time and it was great again! Alan is a very friendly and warm person and it is true, his wife sandwiches are just to die for!!

We tried some strange poses and we had fun conversations about Photography, 60's music which Alan kindly played. Always a pleasure!

Just had my first shoot with Alan and it was a pleasure.

All pre comms were fast and straight to the point - loved it. I arrived 2 hours later due to train disruptions, but he never made it a problem and was enthusiastic to start the shoot. He is very chatty and breaks the ice easily to get into the workflow. Be ready to own the space - and he’ll capture you in the most beautiful manner. Easy going, interesting personality, professional - makes it’s real joy to work with him.

Hope to work together with Alan again and recommend him to models of any levels.

I had a brilliant shoot with Alan, as first shoots go with photographers it was perfect. We found creative overlap in our inspirations and approach, and Alan's lovely wife provided lots of coffee and snacks. The images produced look brilliant, and I look forward to what we create next.

I absolutely loved working with Alan and I thought he is a very polite, friendly and fun person with extreme interesting conversations! He always put me at ease and did everything he could in that shoot to experiment with light and make it better!

I had the pleasure of working with Alan today for the first time and it was a fantastic shoot from start to finish. Alan is a gentlemen with so much knowledge and skill of photography it was so interesting to listen to him and learn more. Alan is a friendly, polite and easy going person who I felt really comfortable with. The shot time flew by as we got on so well and had lots of fun with creative ideas, which I love. I enjoyed the way that we had a collaborative approach and as a result created some fab images.

I have shot with Alan a few times, and each shoot has been fabulous! We captured some gorgeous images. Alan is great with his lighting and yet again I was blown away with the results. I already have some beautiful edits from the shoot and I just love them!!

Alan is not only a great photographer, but an absolute gentleman also. We have good conversations and get on well which always helps for a great shoot.

My first shoot with Alan today. Pre shoot comms. were great and I knew exactly what Alan’s aim was for this shoot. He explained to me that it was going to be experimental with the lighting and angles and so I knew that it was, for the want of a better phrase a work in progress. I felt very comfortable and Alan was a true gentleman all the way through. At the end of the shoot he was kind enough to give me a few critiques on some of my images, which I very much appreciated. I would love to work with him again as I feel we have a lot more to achieve. Thank you for casting me.

Alan was truly professional through and through.

All of our pre communications were clear and outlined.

During the shoot, we had brilliant conversations that provided plenty of food for thought.

I was very comfortable shooting with Alan as he’s open to suggestions and is vocal about what’s working/isnt, which is always reassuring to know in the moment so it can be switched up or stay the same.

I felt safe, respected and understood throughout the whole shoot.

I would highly recommend Alan, he’s a brilliant individual, and he has amazing work as you can see on his portfolio.

I was so happy to have my second awesome shoot with Alan! 🥰🥳 Our pre-communication was excellent; he provided me with all the necessary information about our shoot, and I was very excited to bring all his ideas to life! On the day of the shoot, he met me near the car and helped with my heavy bag. His lovely wife prepared tea and snacks, and in the middle of the shoot, she cooked the most delicious sandwich for me. 🥰

We had such a fun and lovely chat with Alan. It's always very interesting to hear about his vision on photography and chat with him about ideas and styles. He gave me the opportunity to be creative—using his outfits, props, suggesting my own ideas, and just having fun! 🥰

Alan created fantastic lighting to bring all my crazy ideas to life, and he managed to capture a lot of really great shots that I was extremely happy with!

Just like before, he made everything to create a truly pleasant atmosphere. He was happy to warm up the room for me, turned on some cool music, and I felt relaxed and happy throughout the entire shoot!

After the shoot, he was kind enough to send me a couple of fabulous photos that I'm really happy with. It was an amazing shoot, and I'm excited about the creative possibilities for our future shoots. I had the pleasure of shooting with Alan at his beautiful home studio and what a wonderful experience it was! Alan was so welcoming the moment I arrived and him and his wife were so accommodating.

We captured some beautiful maternity shots and his knowledge of lighting was fabulous. I was feeling very exhausted but Alan was very understanding and allowed me frequent breaks in between shots which was very kind.

I could have easily shot with Alan for the whole day as we got on brilliantly, chatting, sharing images and discussing the wonders of regency art! I couldn’t recommend him more to a model, a fabulous shoot!

I shot with ARH recently during my visit to London. A fantastic & enthusiastic photographer who was very keen to work with me on my own ideas and concepts. ARH was respectful, incredibly welcoming and was always showing the back of the camera to show what he was capturing. Was a nice symbiosis of my own ideas and his creative direction too. I would definitely recommend other models to work with ARH, and I can't wait to work with him again on my next trip to london

I had the most enjoyable shoot with Alan! Our pre-communication was excellent. I found him to be a very kind and friendly person. He provided me with all the necessary information, and on the day of the shoot, he met me near his house and helped with my heavy bag. He was incredibly friendly and even offered me tea. A few hours into our shoot, his lovely wife prepared the most delicious sandwiches I've ever tasted in the UK, complete with homemade bread! 😍

The entire shoot was relaxed and fun. I had the freedom to be creative, suggest my own ideas, use his props, and choose the outfits. I felt like I was shooting with an old friend. We had such a cool chat, and I found Alan to be incredibly smart, interesting, and outgoing. He showed me absolutely amazing photos from his travels and shared so many great stories. 🥰

I must also mention that Alan is an absolutely fantastic photographer. His skills are truly impressive, and he can create artistic lighting to capture really great and unique photos. I was thrilled to work with such a great professional and achieve these incredible results. He was kind enough to send me the fabulous photos, and I could tell that my opinion was genuinely important to him, which I greatly appreciate.

Another lovely shoot with Alan. It's been more than a year since our last shoot, due to delays such as train strikes, etcetera, so there was much to catch up on. As always, Alan's pre-shoot communications and conduct were respectful and professional. He kindly picked me up from the station, ensured I was warm, and his lovely wife Carol kept me replenished with coffee and salmon sandwiches.

During the shoot, he kindly let me view the images we were achieving- which really helps me to see what I need to do to modify my own poses- and it was reassuring to see Alan was getting lovely results with his new camera, with me as lighting guinea pig. :) He experimented with a variety of ideas and lighting setups, from motion blur to precise droplet bodyscapes, and then gobo shadowplay.

He kindly let me try some of my madder ideas at the end (I love his home studio setup with its reflective floors and wide glass doors overlooking his beautifully tended garden, and his comprehensive collection of photo books- of his own photos and those of other photographers- all so inspiring), and patiently experimented with lighting to attain the desired effects. I got to try a shot I'd been thinking of for years, with Alan's copy of Helmut Newton's Sumo.

Highly recommended, and I hope we will work together again soon (and not have a year gap in- between).

Another shoot with Alan and again, all pretty well organised with a good communication prior and during the session. It was for a test but we ended up with more than asked. Always professional and respectful, Alan is highly recommended.

Hopefully, we will have our next project to happen soon.

I had another amazing shooting with Alan at his great studio.

We always have kind of a plan what we want to create, but end up with so many ideas that we get lost; luckily lost in highly creative ones and left with too many good images.

It is a pleasure to see how much passion Alan puts in his photography; this shooting even added one more: Alan tried out his new camera; and what a result!

I'm already looking forward to coming back for another shoot and exhaust us both 😉
