Teddy The Rescue Dog

I love dogs and photographing them. When Teddy came in his owner told me that he was originally a stud dog due to his colouring and had been kept in horrific conditions. He had been beaten so badly that he would allow you to do anything to him rather than protest and get another beating. All but his front teeth had been pulled out.
I've met him on several occasions and he is always the same, he will let you pat and stroke him but his eyes are totally dead. I have never seen eyes so dead.
Teddy sat so well that I did the whole shoot in less than a dozen shots. He is clearly devoted to his new owner and looks to her to OK his every move. His owner is a lovely lady who also does that tear jerking job of fostering babies taken into care which I sometimes photograph for her. I never charge for these shoots
