I am absolutely crazy for a Somerset / dorset accent... I just love it!! I could listen to that all day!

I would probably say the Hull accent is my least fave.

My wife's Nepali/Indian/Canterbury/Yorkshire accent cracks me up though

My favourite are:

Irish, Australian, South African and that typical cowboy Texas accent

Dislike:

The Geordie accent

This is not a slant on the people but I struggle with both a brummie and scouse accent.

I could listen to a female welsh accent all day, and like the female north east accents (not necessarily geordie)

I worked with a male geordie and some days we had to write each other notes as he couldnt understand my yorkshire accent either.

I love me a Scottish man from Edinburgh/ from “good breeding”/ who has lived in London. Perfect balance of warm and trustworthy with a good dose of intelligence. Example: Richard Madden.

I want to be best friends with Sheffield girls. They’re so sweet!!

Cuban/ Latin American accent after living in London... YESSSS!

Gruff Australian man. Excellent. Must have deep voice to not be annoying though. Sounds a bit cave-man-ish but in a brilliant way. Example: Chris Hemsworth.

All-rounder favourite though has to be a deep Southern British accent, between posh and common, probably has lived in America. Examples: Tom Hiddleston, Eddie Redmayne, Benedict Cumberbatch, Henry Cavill.

Are you sure? You spent half a day with me and you didn't fall in love with me, or ask me to elope with you. :) :) :)

Orson Carter Ah, but I did comment favourably on your accent - it had to be said!

Back in the days of landlines and phone operators, I got through to a lady with THE most gorgeous voice. It was just so sweet and soothing and I could detect a very slight hint of Scottish-ness in there somewhere. She could have talked me to sleep in minutes.

Anyway, I had to ask her about her accent and she told me it was from Inverness.

So that would be my absolute favourite, though I reckon it could have been more specifically about her voice. As in, it's quite possible that I wouldn't like any other person's accent from Inverness.

My least favourite would be my own, lol. It's predominantly Wolverhampton-esque, which says it all really.

Need I say more? ;)

Or should that be 'Duddlaiy'? Rising at the end of course!

It totally depends on the person, so if people I disliked a lot were from Essex or the West Country, I'd say those were my most disliked.

Most hated is french

A true indigenous brummie accent is is quite warm and charming. A lazy, chavvie brummie accent is awful!
A true indigenous Black Country accent - I have no idea what is being said!

Love Yorkshire, Geordie, Irish, Scouse, Welsh, and West Country.

Blimey.. lots of haters on the French accent! Make sure to never book me then! (y)

We do have a strong accent when we speak English. I wish I could know what an English accent sounds like on someone speaking French but unfortunately I haven't heard many English speak in French. We're even expected to speak/understand English in our own country, but at least we make the effort :P

I'm not going to say which accents I hate the most as I don't think I hate any but I do love Scottish accents! :D
