Probably shooting slightly less. Combination of cost and who is out there in terms of the type of stuff I want to shoot.

I definitely want to get out and about more in 2025 and organise some tours across the UK and meet some new people :D - I have also just signed for two abroad photography holidays... Both very different and early stages but fingers crossed!!!
And.. Of course ... Continue to run and manage Basford Hurst Cottage, bringing new faces up to our location and continue to host new exciting events, projects and potentially start dabbling with my own photography!!
Wow... That seems like a lot to cram in.... But, no time like now right!!! :D :D

Purchasing a few more lenses and gear. Hoping to shoot with my dream model for whom I am waiting for last 6 years.
Do more and more shoots and promote more Indian Models on this platform.

I had intended to make a few more improvements to my shoot space and get a whole load of shoots in, possibly try a holiday shoot too.... unfortunately my generator has died & so everything is on hold until I know for certain what it's going to cost me in terms of repair/replacement.

Go you !!!
There's a lot of models coming over to the other side of the cameraš very exciting times !
Its about time actually as there's probably only been about 2-3 female photographers iv ever shot with !

All going well I am looking to actually start shooting regularly again! I had to take a year out while my new business stabilised (I opened a restaurant), so 2025 I want to make more time for my creativity again.
Also planning a bit of globetrotting!

I'm just going to go with the flow and see whether it's old friends or new models I end up doing shoots with, or whether I don't press the shutter release once.

I'm old and creaky and I'm already cutting down on shoots. Got an 'orrible feeling that next year will be my last of doing this. So I need to make a concerted effort to do what's left on the 'must do' list while I'm still able to.
Even so, still hope to do a location shoot whenever we go on holiday. I like working somewhere new with someone I wouldn't usually get the chance of working with. Four hols (all in UK) lined up so far.
Aww dont say that! You have been forever admired Orson for your works. You seem to have a good set up in your local area and have a good selection of local models.
Your work is "timeless" so hopefully you keep live and kicking for a few more years !
Ashley
OK. This might sound like a bit of smoke-blowing, but what the heck....
If it weren't for you, my 'fings to do before I die' list would be lengthier. For a long while I'd wanted to do a duo shoot, and thanks you and UKCrystal I did such a shoot earlier this year. I had a few vague ideas, but it took the input from you two - your skills, your experience, your creativity - to make things work. And thanks to your input I was delighted with the results.
The only problem with such an enjoyable shoot is that, although it was ticked off on my 'fings to do before I die' list, it's now on a 'fings to do again before I die' list. Damn you, Ms Ashton. :)

Have a trip to Scotland booked but thatās about it. Travelling with the wife for her book events/festivals so may arrange shoots around there.
My outline idea at the moment is to try and build road trips to the continent around shoots with models over there Iād like to work with.

Plans for 2025?
Most likely focus on shoots in natural light and perhaps some street photography. I love working in studios and am pretty comfortable working with flash (mainly as it's a side-step from the lighting work in theatres I used to do), but I know I'll have to tighten the budget next year so I'll have to reduce the number of studio shoots. However, it'll push me into proactively looking for other suitable locations, learning how to make the best of less controlled environments, and how to work with available light.

I've had a great year this year, really loved making pictures, and managed to move a few long term projects along a fair bit, but I'm getting older, and I'm beginning to feel it, so I really need to work on getting a bit fitter next year; to keep on, keepin' on
The main photo ambitions for next year are to replace my ancient laptop, get some good glass for the new camera and still keep shooting in the meantime.
I'm going to start relearning French, haven't studied it in thirty years, but I've had a real notion for a photo trip to Paris for ages now.
Everything comes down to budget so I'll have to wait and see what the new year brings. As always I'll try to go with the flow, see where life takes me and, hopefully, enjoy the journey

Not having shot with any models since last March I'm hoping I'll find my mojo in the new year and set up a few shoots. It's been a strange few months taking a break having been active for around the last seven years.

I'll only be shooting once a month or so next year so I just want to have fun with it!
