Hello 

My name is Allan and I have been a photographer for forty years now both as an amateur and a professional. Pro work included running a general practice photography business, shooting weddings, family portraits, supplying the stock agency market, promotional and advertising work, editorial and press work.

My work has been published in magazines, newspapers and book covers at local, national and international levels. Publications include; Practical Photography magazine, Photo Technique magazine, The Daily Mail, the National Trust for Scotland, Royal Life magazine, freelanced for the Kilmarnock Standard and Irvine Valley Advertiser when I was a full time pro, as well as various other items published via the stock agency. 

I love working in the studio or on location (Though the latter can be difficult with Scottish weather). I usually use hire studios at the moment as I don't have my own space to shoot from. Any locations shots you see in the portfolio have been the result of liaising with Little Red Foxes.

Especially interested in working with stylists and new or established designers on fashion projects.

Re contacting me for work. I would love to work with everyone who contacts me. However, at the moment, I can only take on a few paid shoots each year (usually from August onwards.).  Please be aware some of the paid shoots are booked months in advance. Everything comes down to timing and budget, so please don't take it personally if I turn down your offer of a shoot.

UPDATE re Covid 19. I am fully vaccinated and had the boosters (which I guess is as safe as it gets) Full precautionary measures in line with government guidelines will be in place during any shoot this year and next. (2021-23)
