Model Safety and Glympse

Lets get this into perspective, fear is planted into every body and the internet is the worst offender for blowing things up out of proportion, and people making money of this implanted fear.

A question for you, do you know personally (in your social circle who) knows a rapist or a victim of proven rape, do you have in your personal circle anybody who has knowledge of one of the both sides of pedofiela?

I have yet to meet anyone who has had a modern experience to this question.

Yet when I was a child in the 60's I knew 3 people who had been charged with rape and different people who had charges against then for sexual interference against children, and they didn't make the local newspapers, never mind the national press.

The point that I want to make is that the place that we live in today is a lot safer that the one I was brought up in.

The difference is we learnt at an early age who to avoid and who to trust, plus there were neighbours and friends who looked after us.

Today I am not allowed to speak to anybody without being accused of all sorts of horrible things, but children are taken to school in metal boxes, escorted into the building in high vis vests and even the teachers are not allowed to take these off, incase of assault allegations.

The world has gone mad.

This is great for models who don't want to have to drag along a chaperone to every shoot or just someone slightly mindful of their own safety.

I don't think is scaremongering, just common sense. Unfortunately not all shoots are booked through PP so it's not as easy to check someone out as thoroughly or have the protection of an admin

I'd never go out without telling my mum or my partner where I am. Because that's dangerous.......

They beat you up if you won't tell them ? :)

Well mum feels better if she knows where I'm going if its someone I've not met before I guess. I've kind of always been taught to do that since I was a kid

It's kind of funny the same technology that parents use for their kids that make them want to run away and grow up and get away from all the over protective behaviour is the same app that protects you once you 'get out from under all the bs and can live how you want to..

I get why the app is used... just want to make sure they are safe.. the irony of it all kind of makes me smile though. ;)

Keep safe... the rest are details... no one needs to know you have it on... if it makes you feel more confident, your images will be better...

I can vouch that most of us on the other side of the camera have no thought of turning a little 2-3 hour shoot into material for CSI... its a hobby... you're a model... not very complicated.
