Is AI the new dawn for modeling sites

AI can already generate pretty much any still image I can conceive of.
What it can't do is recreate the transient relationship between photographer, model, environment & client. That's the bit I relish - both the process and the results. And that's the heart of portraiture.

I have never been a follower of " getting it right in the camera".
I am not trying to record the world as it is but I am making images that are floating around in my head.
The techniques I use to achieve this , for me, don't matter. Merely the result.
I will use people to get this result however, simply because I like being and working with people.
Commercially companies will employ techniques that are the best balance between cost and result.
As an amateur I don't mind what others do.

Serious photo businesses class AI as junk and sooner or later people get tired of clicking though AI generated insta pictures.
Nope, there is real savings to be made and almost all businesses will transition over the next number of years, at the end of the day, if something costs 10x more than something else and the results are similar then the cheaper option will be chosen:

This is actually a different topic. I'm talking about photo businesses that rely in authenticity of the content. Fashion houses sell clothes and not photos. I've read on other threads that this site doesn't do ID check for new models when they sign on? Is that really the case?
How about demanding accompanying RAW file with photo uploads for checking?

I'm amused that you claim it to be a different topic, when he responded directly to one of the points you raised in your opening post.

It's these two points that are separate from your OP. If you want to discuss them, I recommend a separate post, but be ready to provide evidence that there's an actual problem that needs solving, and simply your postulating.

I don't understand what ID checks have to do with the subject, or anything else for that matter?

Is AI the new dawn for photography in general?
Maybe that's what the bright light I see on the horizon is, a new dawn.
Oh not, there's a mushrom cloud now.
Maybe not a new dawn after all.
Hope that's not too dark ;)

Malicious people have been stealing photos from insta for ages to create fake profiles. Generative AI can create scarily realistic photos based on photos of real people and the technology is developing with leaps. ID check by the site would be a safety measure to convince photographers to book models in the net.
