Multiple accounts and changing account types on PurplePort

By Laura SJ F, written 1512481952.

Multiple accounts to be created on PurplePort, but there are some restrictions on the kinds of accounts permitted. You can create accounts for different account types and (in certain cases) create more than one account for the same account type.

You may decide that the account type you have chosen is not relevant and needs to be changed to one of the other account types we have available on PurplePort.

If you are not sure whether you are able to create a second account or if you would like to request your account type to be changed to something else, please feel free to contact us directly via support ticket to check.

Note: Paying for Unlimited membership on one account will only apply to that particular account. If you create second (or more) accounts and would like to benefit from Unlimited membership on these other accounts then you will need to set additional membership for these. For ways to upgrade your account to Unlimited membership see How do I upgrade my account?

Multiple accounts of the same account type

In certain circumstances members can create more than one account of the same account type.

Example: a photographer may be permitted to create a second account for the account type photographer.

This could be because:

  • The shoot styles on these accounts are completely different (usually one account for SFW shoot styles and another for NSFW/Adult shoot styles).
  • Members may wish one account to be anonymous (usually for NSFW/Adult work)
  • One account is used for their commercial work and another account is used for their personal work

Creating second account (or more) of the same account type is very rarely permitted and we ask that all members contact us directly via support ticket to check with us first this before creating a second account this way.

Multiple accounts of different account types

Since accounts can only be used for one purpose as well as by one person (see One account, one user) you can create second or more accounts under different account types for the different fields of work you do.

Example: a model who has an account under the account type model may also wish to create an account as a photographer for their photography work.

The following account types are available on PurplePort:

  • Photographer
  • Model
  • Studio
  • Make-up artist
  • Stylist
  • Hair Stylist
  • Artist/painter
  • Designer
  • Photoshop wizard
  • Tutor

You do not need to ask us before you create accounts of different account types.

If you decide to create accounts under different account types then you can link these accounts together, allowing easier access to these accounts and saving you time logging in and out of them. Check out How to link accounts for how to do this.

Changing account type

There are usually two reasons for requesting your account type to changed.

You have selected the wrong account type

Don’t worry if you have started to create an account, but accidentally selected the wrong account type. This can be easily changed by the Admin Team.

You have changed the work you do to something else

If you already have an existing account setup (which has been approved by the Admin Team) then you can still request for the account type to be changed to something else. You may need to make some changes to the information on your account if you already have an established account before we can change the account type. If you already have references and images for work you have completed as a studio, but wish your account type to be changed to a model then we will need to remove all of these references and images since they will only be relevant to your work as a studio and not as a model.

Request your account type to be changed

Account types can be changed by the Admin Team and if you would like to change your account type then please contact us directly via support ticket to request this.
