Models - Do you tick glamour because it's an option?

I personally get really pissed off that most models tick 'Fashion' and (especially) 'Editorial' like its some kind of default for models when most do not have the look for either. I would like to search for fashion models and have a good search result.

Indeed, you're 5'2" weigh 10 stone and none too dissimilar to an oompaloompa. That's never seen fashion luv!

Quote from Silverlight's profile (not that he knows what he is talking about or can take a decent snap :))

I am looking for a couple of size 6 - 10 toned models. Height 5ft upwards - being very petite is fine, for high fashion and fine art projects........

Indeed, but there's a gulf of difference between petite and short. Also, one thing you simply cannot disguise is the size of the head relative to the body. To some folk, these things do matter.

My Mrs is a cat's cock hair under 5'. With some sympathetic camera angles, and some heels she can be made to look considerably taller. Not the lengths a lot of photographers want to go to is it really?

I once read that the difference between fashion and glamour was this:

Fashion - model appears to be saying "fuck you"

Glamour - model appears to be screaming "fuck me"

That's brilliant Jenny Wren, I am totally stealing that! ^^

Excellent +1

Personally I reckon it's probably a really hard genre to get "right" as in my opinion a photoshoot is one of the least sexual environments around, therefore a fair bit of acting and emotion has to go in to get the feeling across to the viewer. I don't reckon I could do it, would like to have a go sometime, but wouldn't be surprised if I put the viewer more in mind of a constipated duck than a sexual being.

Yup....this, and my general feeling that I don't want to appear too sexually available, even if I was good at projecting that...and I'm not, because....well, I guess because I guess I don't want to be, because I want something to be little bit private......
So I don't bother ticking glamour.

I do tits and arse, but I don't do sex face :>)
