References for Xclusive Magic Photography

I had a really fun and interesting shoot with Rob last week at Betty Noir studio in Cinderford.

Rob does a unique style of photography that is very different from what I normally do. I was up for trying something new and I am glad I did.

Rob provided me with as much information on how everything works as possible and went out of his way to make me feel comfortable. Some of the poses in the boxes can be tight and you have to hold them for a while but Rob works quick and made sure I wasn't uncomfortable for too long. We shot 3 different sets and had lots of chats and giggles along the way.

I really enjoyed the shoot and Rob is a lovely guy who I am glad to have met.

I will look forward to the next time.

Another fabulous studio hire from Rob! Rob is a joy to have at the studio, with the literal magic he brings! He is so easy to get along with, and works well with the models, always respectful and continually checking in with the models to ensure they are comfortable, particularly when using the sawing in half box. We already have another session booked in 😊

What a magical shoot!

Rob reached out to me to shoot at the wonderful Betty Noir studio, and I was so excited to work with all his weird and wonderful props!

Upon meeting, he was so friendly and easy to chat to, and we bounced off each others ideas with ease. He was so accommodating when it came to understanding some poses were difficult to sustain/get into (literally… getting into a box to be “sawed” in half!).

All in all, it was a cracking day, and I couldn’t recommend him more!

I had my very first shoot with Rob yesterday and my goodness, what an incredible experience!

Pre-comms were fantastic, Rob provided me with so much useful information regarding the awesome and unusual theme. I've never done 'magic modelling' before and I had an absolute blast learning about the illusion and immersing myself in the world of magic. I was also sent preview shots the same day, which was another added bonus! His work is fabulous, he has a great eye for detail and we shared quite a few laughs.

It was an absolute pleasure working with Rob and I very much look forward to doing so again.

Rob and I first met when I contacted him with an interest specifically in the magician's assistant work that he's experienced in, this then led to me being invited to join a shoot with him and another model, Bunny. It was my first time ever doing anything like it and I feel so lucky to have been introduced into the world by such kind and friendly people.

Rob has been kind and polite from the start and very informative. He has such an extensive knowledge of his speciality area - magic, and a brilliant collection of different illusions to work with.

Thank you for your time and patience Rob, I don't think I'd have been as interested in pursuing modelling as a new hobby if I hadn't had such a positive intro into this world.

Rob has hired my studio several times with many different models. He is always respectful and works well with the models.

Rob always brings a selection of incredible props and illusions with him, providing the models the perfect chance to do something a little different, and create some magic!

My second shoot with Rob this time at his home studio, Rob provided me with ALL relevant information prior to shooting including images of the magical.. prop/machine..? and outfit suggestions. If I'm honest I forgot how much of a joy Rob was to work with and I love the excitement and potential danger of actually being sawn in half-not that Rob would ever allow that!! Rob always ensured I were being careful! Robs very well mannered, gentlemanly and well organized, he has a good attention to detail and spare stockings!! Really enjoyed our shoot and look forward to the next. Thankyou x

I had my first shoot with Rob this morning.

Pre-comms were absolutely excellent and I knew from the start we'd get on well.

Rob is a genuinely nice, down to earth guy and I felt instantly comfortable when I arrived.

That being said, I was absolutely terrified of the giant high-speed saw I was meant to be shooting with, but Rob was patient and understanding the whole time and put up with me being a massive wuss!

I had so much fun learning about the props and shooting with them in different ways whilst having a laugh.

Can't wait to work with Rob again, and I highly recommend :)

I had the pleasure of modelling for Rob today as the ‘magicians assistant’ ! I must admit this was a new one for me but I thoroughly enjoyed working with Rob and trying something new!

Pre communications with him were fantastic and he produced a great shoot plan to work from. On top of this, Rob is really friendly and very easy to work with! I would highly recommend him and I hope we get to shoot some new sets soon!

This was the first shoot with Rob here at the studio.

I was really impressed with his pre shoot comms, even down to a full shoot plan and a visit to the studio before the shoot date.

Rob arrived in plenty of time and started to set up his props in preparation for the models arrival.

he clearly has a very imaginative style and works very hard to get the right composition of the shots.

He was courteous to the models at all times and everyone had a great deal of fun.

Rob had booked an amazing studio for this magical shoot, great choice and good pre-comms.

Rob knew what he wanted to achieve for the shoot and had some great creative ideas, he thought out the process well and he even hired a illusion specialist to help assist! Rob was very considerate throughout ensuring myself and the other model were comfortable and happy. Would recommend and hopefully look forward to working together again in the future! ☺️

Absolutely loved shooting with Rob and magician, Lee! Despite my lateness to the shoot due to personal reasons, Rob remained upbeat, positive and polite at all times. This shoot was completely different to my normal style, but it was so much fun becoming a magicians assistant for the day - something I have always wanted to do! Rob was fantastic at explaining how each prop worked, patient with all my many questions and communicated what he was doing and why.

A truly kind gentleman with a unique chance for a shoot! Would definitely recommend and I can't wait to shoot with him again!

Rob was great from start to finish. His pre communications were spot on, he was on time, super respectful of the studio and a genuinely lovely guy. He was fab with the model and even though it was a little warm upstairs as it was a hot day he still managed to carry all his equipment for his magic shoot upstairs and then down again afterwards with a smile on his face. Would happily see Rob and his magician friend back at the studio again anytime.

This was my first time working with Rob - He kindly expressed an interest in a casting I had placed for a tour of the area and we exchanged a few emails in relation to an extremely creative and interesting shooting concept he wanted to work on. Being on-board for a magic acts shoot was certainly a very first for me, I love challenging new work opportunities so of course I was completely delighted to be involved as a model. :)

I worked with Rob (whose part in the job was the photographer) alongside magic performer LE' Dresden at Spitfire photo studio in Swindon. Rob's pre-shoot communications were excellent from the word go, and he arranged everything with ease keeping me updates the whole time. He was prompt with his messages back, his brief details and very accommodating and understanding of a models mad "tour" schedule. He had a clear idea of what he wanted to achieve image-wise and communicated this very well with clarity since the images are specific to show off the scenes in the magic acts... This meant that when the shooting came around, we all broke right into a productive flow effortlessly with everyone being on the same page and getting on a roll in no time at all. The sets take a great deal of setting up, so fair play to Rob's commitment and patience with getting everything organised.

At every point on the shoot, my well-being and comfort was looked after... The team were always very conscious of my wellness and security and asked after me at regular intervals through each step of the shoot. Rob was professional and worked with very good etiquette; respecting levels, keeping concise step-by-step talk-throughs going all the while we were working and working efficiently get the shots in the bag from one scene to the next whilst being very considerate in every way to myself as a model. He's a lovely person who is positive in his approach and socially good at working with the models in giving direction and explaining plans through each concept. Very chatty and light-hearted too, the whole shoot had an enjoyable bounce and flow which certainly made the experience a good giggle as well as an exciting, certainly not run-of-the-mill shoot experience.

Rob knows exactly what he wants to achieve from a shoot and knows his angles for showing off the best in a particular set. He is clearly very experienced at shooting his style and I have no end of credit for managing all the things that he had to think about as the photographer which would make such a shoot more challenging than the average studio shoot. He has a good eye for his work and captured the moments beautifully.

I really do look forward to hopefully getting the chance to work with Rob again before too long. :) A definite recommendation from me!

Rob contacted seeing if I would be able to come along and help on the shoot which took place at Spitfire studio. And when someone as friendly, passionate and professional about his work like Rob offers you that. Well you don't turn it down. Rob always has a plan ready for what he wants to do and what direction he wants the shoot to go. Which always makes the day go smoothly as possible. He pre shoot coms are fantastic leading up to it and is thorough in explaining what he wants from the shoot and needs you to bring.

Rob is just brilliant at what he does and it was great to get another chance to work with him again.

Rob was the photographer as part of a magic shoot I was involved in .

Rob was dedicated to the task at hand , meeting his clients brief , and thinking of his own ideas to meet the brief too . He was aware of details in the shot , and time management was done well to ensure that all the sets were done in the given time .

Had the models safety and comfort in mind . Pays attention to styling and details to ensure that it all works together well .
