Janella waits in the Salon...

I've talked about "What I look for in an image." For my money, this shot of Janella--a favorite model of ours--has it all. The set, the lighting, the staging, the sense of story, the model, her attitude and her beauty, the sense of enchantment and mystery... not to mention that Raven and I built virtually everything you see in this image with our bare hands--except for the impossibly lovely Janella. And yet, some people will only see "the girl," and they will miss the forest for the trees. But for us, every square foot of this has history and more than a few wonderful memories. And perhaps that's why looking at this is so very pleasing to us.
