Wow what a great way to start the week!

A few weeks ago I answered a casting call from Wanderlust Getaways to take part in a remote shoot with the stunning Beth Kate whilst they were on an amazing photography event in Cyprus.

One of the hosts of the event was Ashley Ashton, and, as with anything Ashley is involved in the pre coms with her were spot on. Ashley was also around on our shoot to assist, as this was one of Beth's first remote shoots.

You certainly couldn't tell and and Beth is the most amazing model. She poses freely and creates some amazing body shapes. I am delighted with the images we created in a number of different areas around the stunning Villa.

If you are not able to attend the amazing trips they offer this is the next best thing and I can't recommend Ashley and Wanderlust Getaways enough.

I will certainly be signing up again for another remote shoot and hopefully this might be on their next adventure to the French Alps in March 2025.

I have just had the most amazing experience of my life, travelling to Cyprus for a photography holiday organised by Ashley Ashton and Zeus from Wanderlust Getaways. 6 days in a beautiful villa with several other wonderful photographers and 4 delightful models was like a dream come true! Both Ashley and Zeus worked so hard to ensure we were all comfortable, enjoying everything and happy with everything. I couldn't have been happier! Each day brought more delights and as the days went by we developed our friendships with everyone. The accommodation was first class and out of this world, the models were incredible and all such lovely personalities, the photographers were amazing and so willing to share ideas and skills, the Island of Cyprus was breathtaking, the local people went out of their way to be friendly and helpful, the food was fantastic, the weather was gorgeous - everything combined to make this an experience I'll never forget! Thanks so much Wanderlust Getaways - I can't wait for next year! 😄

This was my first experience of an organised model photography holiday. It was very well scheduled with ample shooting time each day, but also, and equally important, relaxation/bonding time which allowed us to develop our rapport with each other (models and togs) and share BOC images for social media.

Airport transfers were perfect, as were logistics regarding transportation to locations for shooting and venues for meals. The meals provided on site were great - just what we needed. Nothing too heavy, but plenty to keep us energised.

When I last posted a reference for Wanderlust Getaways earlier in the year, I remarked that I would be back for next year. Well, I couldn’t wait that long so low and behold I found myself booking the trip to Cyprus, swapping snow for sand and joining Wanderlust in Ayia Napa. And boy, I am so glad I did.

For this trip Ashley was assisted by Zeus Photoshoot who used his local knowledge of Cyprus and his culinary skills to great effect.

Pre departure communications were timely and thorough and included all the need-to-know items like the airport transfer schedule, dietary requirements and the proposed shooting timetable etc. Any queries were quickly answered.

Ashley carefully selected the models to complement each other, and I found all models hard working, professional and easy to get on with and they contributed greatly to the success of the trip.

However, it wasn’t just all about photography, plenty of opportunities were provided for social/holiday time, either by visiting restaurants in Ayia Napa or just chilling in the Villa with beer and a barbecue.

One great reason for this type of event is opportunity to meet like-minded photographers, not only to swap ideas and learn, but also assist with reflectors, props and cadge stunning outfits for use by the models (Thanks Dave). Something that is often not option in the UK when attending studio days and the like.

The location, Cape Serenity Mansion was an excellent location with plenty of space and shooting opportunities, both inside and out. Additionally, it was only short drive from great beach locations which were used for the sunrise and sunset shoots. The sleeping accommodation/private quarters were comfortable and well-appointed, which for me included the essential addition of a coffee machine😉

IMHO this trip was a great success in no small part to Ashley’s and Zeus’s hard work. I arrived home with so many images which I thought were beyond my reach and believed only other photographers could achieve.

A big thanks to Ashley, Zeus, all the models and the other photographers who attended, in making this ‘Wanderlust Getaway’ a very enjoyable trip.

Highly recommended, so much so that have already booked for next year, as have some of the other photographers who attended the trip.

Working with the Wanderlust Getaways crew was by far an amazing experience. They had teamed up with TeamBlack at an location in France. Love them, and I will definitely be booking in the future.

Just fabulous. I was lucky enough to attend the Wanderlust Getaways trip to Sicily. The trip was well organised, with plenty of information provided about locations and transportation and great communication before the trip. Sadly Antonia who was modelling for the trip and co-organising was involved in a serious accident on the very first morning before shooting began. It was absolutely devasting and I really hope she has a speedy recovery. I am awe inspired by the family support that helped the trip to continue, and by the resilience of Ashley to continue modelling and running this event. The schedule was only slightly adjusted to cater for hospital visiting hours, Antonia sourced some wonderful Italian models (even from hospital) and the whole trip went very smoothly.

The villa was huge and absolutely amazing, it had loads of good places to shoot and looked stunning. The rooms were clean and comfortable. And the food, well I have never seen or eaten anything quick like it, it was just fantastic! We also visited three fabulous locations which all offered something unique.

The models were all of a very high standard, friendly and fun to shoot with and they did an amazing job of making the most of the locations. For my group, we had Ashley, Louisa and Carmen for the 3 days and Alexandra and Martina covering the 3 between them. This ended up working really well and all of them looked stunning.

I absolutely adored this trip despite the tragic circumstances. The dedication from everyone involved was really impressive. I had a wonderful time and I am blown away by the quality and variety of the images. Highly recommended!

To say I went on the sicily trip, would be to do it a disservice. It was a journey, creatively and emotionally. Everything was organised impeccably. We were taken to amazing locations with incredible models, made some amazing friends and i came out the back of it a better photographer.

The images I was able to obtain were some of my favourite ever and I am inspired and have a whole new perspective on where I want to take my photography going forward. To me that is priceless so every trip is an absolute bargain.

Also massive appreciation to Ash who was incredible at keeping the trip on track in difficult circumstances. Amazing job

Wow, what a trip this was with WanderLustGetaways to the beautiful island of Sicily. The attention to detail, the amazing photographic locations, the very professional models, amazing food, the villa, rooms, facilities and more, were all simply wonderful.

Despite a serious accident on the first day. Which was a massive shock and worry to us all at the time and not easy to explain here. The family, the team, the whole group were focused on taking things one step at a time and doing what was right for all. This in many ways cemented new creative friendships that I value and really hope will continue.

In this world of being busy, react mode to the fast pace, hub-bub of every day life. It was a real pleasure to be a part of this group of people. Very concerned for a member of this photographic family, mi amica, and doing what was right at the time.

This was possible as the WanderLust team focused on delivering excellent organisation, attention to detail, seeking your collective feedback and overall focus on providing photographic creative quality with a unique Italian, Sicilian flavour.

It felt like a 'family of creatives' working together, enjoying each others company, professional and having a marvellous time. Just one of the many special aspects of the WanderLust brand.

I thoroughly enjoyed the whole trip. Antonia (and family), Ashley had prepared everything so well, did us all proud with their professionalism to deliver a super Sicilian photographic event.

I would highly recommend 'WanderLustGetaways' to photographers and models alike. If you get the opportunity to go, grab it, you will not be disappointed. Regardless of your level of experience you have the opportunity to get some superb images.

This was my first photographic holiday with WanderlustGetaways but I have been shooting with Ashley for billion years.

The trip was very well organised by Ashley and Antonia for months but not always life goes according to plan and a serious accident just minutes before starting the first day left Antonia in Hospital with serious injuries.

It was a very big shock. Initially all frozen with fear after receiving the news.

We considered all options, including cancelling the shoot but Antonia was sending us strength from her Hospital bed and wanted as to continue with the shoot that her and Ashley had organised with so much Love.

I have known Ashley for many years, but she keeps surprising me in many aspect of life. She is so resilient, she was tested to the limit as she also had to deal with another serious family issue.

She recomposed herself and worked very hard to ensure that the trip was a total success.

Antonia family were incredible generous with their effort to ensure we had all we needed. They did help with the transfers, cooking, shopping, cleaning .... We felt like being part of a family. The food was out of this world.

All the photographers and models we did get on very well. Amazing creatives. Lots of interesting conversations, sharing of photographic knowledge. We did develop an incredible bond.

We all hope that Antonia will recover and that with Ashley will continue to organise more photographic trips.

An experience that will remain a memory forever.

I had the most amazing event experience at Wanderlust's Sicilian event. The organizers thought of everything we would need and had one ofht e most beautiful locations to stay and shoot at. Program was organised meticulously and although they had two major incidents one being a very serious one they were able to adapt to to it and make the entire experience perfect. I cannot thank them enough for the deep consideration they gave to everyone and the amazing atmosphere they created.

Amazing how quickly time goes when you're having such a good time. That's how it was with my photoshoot with Ashley, Antonia, & Angel Black. So sad, really that that my remote shoot with these lovely ladies was only for 1 hour! Very pleased with the images we made. Keeping my eyes open now for events run by Team Black. Highley recommended.

Wow! I’ve got to say, one of the best trips I’ve ever been on, that good in fact I want to live there lol but obviously the team had a massive part in that!

Ashley is one of the most hard working models I’ve ever known, not just a pretty face !

All the tog’s got so many awesome pics and me video which I’m currently editing!

If you’re lucky enough to go on a wanderlust holiday I’m pretty certain you’ll be feeling the same as me!

had a remote shoot planned with Ashley and Antonia during their stay at Chamonix. The pre shoot communication went perfect. I made a moodboard and the models added a few ideas. Most of the communication went via Angel, who also handed the camera.

after a technical problem in the beginning everything went perfect. Ashley and Antonia are not only beautiful but also easy going and laid back. I am very happy with the results. you can find them on my website: www.benernst.nl.

I had a remote shoot with Angel Black and Ashley. Pre comms were great, I suggested a few ideas but we ended up going with the flow.

What matters is we got some amazing images out of the shoot, and I really enjoyed working with Angel and Ashley..they make a great duo!

Amazing! Exciting! Thrilling!

I can simply go on and on and will always find myself short of words to describe how I felt during and after the amazing adventure trip to Chamonix with Wanderlust Getaways Official.

The trip was very well planned and each day was exciting. The models on the trip were talented, hardworking, creative and very professional.

The chalet and the location we stayed was beautiful in the mountains and each day presented a different weather forecast and was exciting. Ashley took very good and personal care of the togs and the models on the trip. The chef made some amazing cuisines each day including breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The images I got are very unique starting with the models in the snow mountains, lake, waterfalls, chalet and the streets of lake city Annecy.

Overall a very thrilling experience and I’m absolutely delighted to join again next year. Thank you so much Wanderlust Getaways Official. Looking forward to have many more adventures with your group.

I can only reiterate the previous 500+ references attesting to Ashley’s modelling prowess. So, these brief words are more of a testament to Ashley’s fabulous job in organising and hosting a photo tour to Chamonix that I recently attended.

The tour comprised 4 models and 4 photographers accommodated in a spacious chalet with spectacular mountain views, located not far from Chamonix. Throughout the booking process communication was clear and thorough with a full itinerary presented before any financial commitment was made.

Lots of opportunities were made available for photographers to shoot in various offsite locations, in addition to shooting in and around the chalet, creating some unique images not obtainable elsewhere. Additionally, the ability to meet up with other photographers was a great opportunity to explore and bounce ideas off each other, creating a fabulous learning environment.

However, this tour was just not ‘about photography’ I would class it as a luxury holiday pretty much fully inclusive with some plain old sightseeing, skiing, eating, and socialising thrown in for good measure. Coming away with some great images almost seems like a bonus. Without any doubt, my photography has moved forward as a subsequence of this trip.

Ashley worked tirelessly both as a host and a model to make this tour a great success. I for one have a strong desire to attend future such excursions. I highly recommend such photography tours to other enthusiastic photographers keen to enhance their photography in an enjoyable and social environment.

Had the absolute best time working in Chamonix for Wanderlust Getaways trip where we got to shoot in the amazing French alps and beautiful towns and sceneries.

The Chalet that Ashley Ashton had booked for the trip was a dream the models and photographers were lovely and we made everlasting memories.

the schedules were carefully thought out and smooth, we had a private chef that attended to each of our dietry requests.

the trip was hosted amazingly and we couldnt have asked for better treatment while working with Wanderlust Getaways.
